“Elisa, where do we go now?” Isla asked, breaking the silence.

Thoughts swirled in Elisa’s mind, emotions welling up in her.

“What do you think I should do..I’m confused as you are,” she replied, her voice barely above whisper.

Isla offered a suggestion. “How about we mind link Elijah?” He’s your favorite brother; I’m sure he’ll reply.”

Elisa’s sigh was immediate. She had blocked the mind link, fearing rejection from her family. “it’s been 2 years… do you think Elijah will even want to talk to me?” She asked, her doubts creeping in.

Isla reassurance was warm. “Don’t worry, we’ll get through this together. Let’s just try first.”

Elisa hesitated, then opened her mind link, reaching out to Elijah. “Elijah,” she called, her voice tentative.

The silence that followed seemed eternal. “Do you think he’ll reply?” Elisa asked, her anxiety growing.

Just as Isla was about to respond, Elijah’s voice broke through the silence. “Lisa?” he said, his tone laced with disbelief. "Elisa, is that you?"

“yes it’s me?” Elisa answered, her voice cautious.

“Is that you, Lisa?” Elijah asked.

Elisa’s heart skipped a beat when she heard his voice.

“Elijah it’s me Lisa?” She exclaimed, her words trembling out of excitement. Elijah, her younger brother, she hasn’t spoke to him since she left the pack.

“Finally… I was able to talk to you. I miss you so much,” Elijah said, his voice filled with emotion.

Elisa’s smile spread wide. “I miss you too, Elija”

As they exchanged pleasantries, Elisa asked about their father And the rest of the family. Elijah’s tone turned somber.

“That’s why I called… Elisa, you have to come home. Father is sick, and he might not have much time left,”

Elisa’s world stopped. She was shocked, her mind racing with thoughts of her ailing father.

“Where are you? I’m coming to pick you up,” Elijah asked, his voice filled with urgency.

Elisa’s emotions swirled, gratitude and relief washing over her. She told Elijah her location, and they agreed on a meeting point.

An hour passed, and Elisa’s anxiety grew. What if Elijah didn’t show up? What if this was all a mistake?

Just a doubt began to creep in, a limousine stopped in front of Elisa and Elijah rushed out, his rugged features and warm smile came into view, and Elisa’s heart swelled.

Elijah rushed towards her, embracing her tightly.

“Lisa, I’ve missed you so much,” he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.

Elisa’s tears flowed freely as she clung to her brother. “I’ve missed you too, Elijah.

The reunion was a balm to Elisa’s weary soul, reassuring her that she still had a family who cared.

“How have you been?” Elijah asked, his eyes scanning Elisa’s face with concern. “Why didn’t you call after all these years?”

Elisa’s gaze drifted away, her voice barely above whisper. “I’m fine…how’s father?”

Elijah’s expression turned somber. “Let’s get to the pack first. But what’s with all the luggage?” His brow furrowed. “You’re not leaving for good, are you?”

Elisa’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Let’s get to the pack first,” she repeated, evading the question.

Elijah shook his head, helping Elisa arrange her luggage in the trunk. They settled into the car, and with a nod, Elijah summoned the driver to start driving.

As the vehicle glided through the streets, Elisa’s thoughts wandered to get life in the palace and the uncertain future ahead. She let out a deep sigh, her eyes gazing out the window.

Moonstone Pack

The car came to a stop at the palace entrance, and Elisa’s eyes widened as she took in the sprawling estate. The Moonstone Pack’s headquarters dwarfed Ravenwood pack in size and grandeur.

Elijah opened the door, and Elisa stepped out onto the polished asphalt, her gaze sweeping across the familiar landscape.

The palace’s imposing facade, with its tall spires and gleaming stone, seemed unchanged.

However, the increased security presence was striking, the guards patrolled every corner, a testament to the pack’s formidable power.

The Ravenwood Pack paled in comparison to the Moonstone pack’s majesty. As the most influential pack in the country, its reputation preceded it.

Elisa felt a shiver run down her spine as she absorbed the atmosphere.

As Elisa stepped out of the car, a row of maids at the entrance bowed in unison, their curtsies perfectly synchronized. “Welcome home, princess,” they chimed, their voices harmonies.

Elisa’s smile warmed as she acknowledged their greeting. “It feels good to be back home.”

Isa, seemingly sensing Elisa’s emotions, whined softly.

Elijah led Elisa into the mansion, with the maids and guards bowing as that passed. The opulent interior, unchanged since her departure, enveloped her like a familiar embrace.

“The entire palace still looks the same,” Isla observed, and Elisa hummed a gentle agreement.

As they approached the Alpha’s office, Elijah turned to Elisa with an encouraging smile. “Let’s go in.”

With a deep breath, Elisa steeled herself. Elijah knocked on the door, and a low, authoritative voice bade them to enter.

“Time to see father,” Elisa whispered, determination shining in her eyes. She pushed the door open and stepped inside

As they entered the room, Elisa’s eyes fell upon Alpha Regis, reclining on his bed, surrounded by attentive maids. They gently cleansed his frail hands, a stark contrast to the robust leader Elisa remembered

“Elisa, is that you?” Alpha Regis’s weak voice called out, his eyes searching.

Elisa rushed to his side, her heart swelling with emotion. The maids bowed and discreetly exited, granting them privacy.

“Father…it’s me,” Elisa replied, her voice trembling.

Alpha Regis’s gnarled hands enveloped hers, his grip surprisingly strong. Elisa had braced herself for anger and recrimination, but instead, she saw only warmth and longing in his eyes.

The once mighty Alpha’s frailty struck Elisa like a blow. His pallor, the sunken cheeks, and the labored breathing, all testified to his warning strength. The realization hit her like a tidal wave: her father’s time running out.

“You’re finally back, my daughter,” Alpha Regis whispered, his worn face creasing into a warm smile.

A solitary tear escaped his eye, trailing down his cheek as he gazed at Elisa. The sight shattered her composure.

“Father!” Elisa sobbed, her voice cracking as she leaned into his frail embrace.

Alpha Regis’s arms enveloped her, holding her close as they both surrendered to their emotions.

Tears streamed down Eliza’s face, mingling with her father’s as they shared a poignant reunion.

The room fell silent, except for the soft sounds of their sorrow and joy. In this moment, past conflicts and misunderstandings melted away, leaving only the love and longing they shared.
