Even with Chase, I had never had my whole body give out like that just from his lips touching me. Granted, the way he pulled my earlobe through his teeth caused all kinds of new sensations to flood through me, but still.

Cass and I headed upstairs to shower and change. Chase headed to meet with his father, Ryker and a couple of his strongest gammas. I had a feeling they were headed to the cells to deal with Doran because he told me he’d try to be quick with whatever it was he had to do, but also not to wait up.

He also needed to fill his dad in on the whole marking before the ceremony thing.

It was an emergency situation though. Doran told me that once he marked and mated me, he could somehow siphon my abilities from me, little by little. And the bond would render me near powerless to stop it. He told me that I’d let him, that I would even want him to.

I continued rinsing my hair, still deep in thought. With Chase marking me in front of him like that, I had to wonder. Did he
