LARISA’S POV

~<>~

Aurelia?

I was so close to losing my mind when I heard Alpha Tristan call for that wretched soul when he set his eyes on me. Well, I did ask Louis to get a strong sedating drug from the pack healers and make sure Tristan consumes more than enough.

As an Alpha, his metabolism was more active and if he didn’t have enough, he would snap out of this trance before I could successfully make him mine forever.

I didn’t want that.

“I’ll distract him and get him to the room. You’ll have to take it from there and if you fail and get caught, the cross will be yours to bear.” Louis had warned me after we concluded on how to set Tristan up for what he believed was the greater good.

Who cared about that?

Not me.

All I cared about was riding this gorgeous, deadly, and huge chunk of an Alpha until my legs shook and I crashed against him. As that thought flashed through my mind, I could feel myself getting excited while Tristan held me tight against his chest, kissing my

ALPHA RAIDEN~~I didn’t know how long it took my unconscious mind to finally register the soft and small hand on my face. I didn’t know how long my eyes had been closed but I remembered my crazy experience in the forest while I was searching for my family. I recalled getting bitten by a snake after exhausting my strength and I remember ripping the damn creature apart but that didn’t stop its poison from weakening me even more… I knew that much, however, I didn’t know what or who the hand on my face belonged to.Could it be another creature? Was I still in the wild? I thought as I tried to open my eyes. I believed I was still in the wild all alone and maybe with another dangerous creature until my eyes fluttered open and my fuzzy gaze met with a familiar face.“Ka-Katie…” I muttered, my dead daughter’s name rolling off my tongue as I looked at the illusion before me. Snake poison could do that to one’s mind?I was hallucinating–“Mama, he’s awake.” My son’s voice smacked my eard

AURELIA ~~ Hurt flashed through his eyes but I didn’t fret. Saying no to him was the right thing to do– “Even though you have been nursing him for the past four days? You didn’t leave his side and the kids had to be brought here because of that.” Inara called me out. “Caring for a sick man doesn't mean I’d leave with him, Ina–” Inara scoffed, “He isn’t just a sick man, though. He’s our ex-mate and the father of our kids.” “Emphasis on Ex, Ina.” I retorted stubbornly. The kids have been just as worried as I was ever since they found out that their dad was in the pack and unconscious. They stayed with him while Lori did her best to mend his soul but she couldn’t. Lori said to me, “You are the only one who can heal his soul. Just like you’re the only one who can heal your soul.” She told me that two days ago after she assured me that Kyle’s lung disease would no longer be an issue and that my heart was getting better by the day. I had abandoned my training since I coul

AURELIA~~Katie and Kyle were beginning to get used to the uniqueness of this pack. They weren’t exactly surprised when Raiden’s eyes closed and his body went limp together with Susanna’s. My heart was racing as a result of curiosity but it was more of uncertainty. To my surprise, Katie held on to Raiden’s free hand, caressing it with gentility. Clearly, she was no longer mad at her Dad but it was quite the opposite for Kyle who wouldn’t leave my side. “Can we let him stay, Mom?” Katie asked a question I knew she would throw at me. However, before I could answer, Kyle grumbled with a pout of his own, “We agreed not to forgive anyone that hurt Mama, Katie. Why are you breaking our promise?” “Because Mom taught us to forgive and Dad is sorry, Kyle. Can’t you feel it?” Katie muttered with conviction which made me look at Mia Lu with questions in my eyes. Since when did Katie start feeling Raiden's emotions? That’s highly impossible unless holding Raiden's hand while he was holdin

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   130. Alpha Tristan's POV (9)

ALPHA TRISTAN’S POV ~~Anger was the only emotion I had been feeling for the entire week. It was zapping through me and eating me up, leaving no space for any other feeling or thought. I felt disgusted and couldn’t look at myself in the mirror–“But you still enjoyed the sex.” Dolf scoffed. My wolf had become the biggest opponent I had to deal with but the feeling of betrayal was bigger than the tension between my wolf and me.“Oh, you feel betrayed?” Dolf chuckled with mockery. “I wonder what Aurelia would be feeling–” “She is dead, Dolf! She died. She can’t feel nothing.” I snapped at my wolf. As if it wasn’t bad enough that I have been a mess since I woke up in my bedroom with a smile on my face and with the assumption that I had just made love to Aurelia, only to open my eyes and find Larisa snoring softly and peacefully in my bed… In my fucking arms. As if it wasn’t bad enough that I actually enjoyed the sex with her… In my defense, I thought she was Aurelia. Throughout

ALPHA TRISTAN’S POV ~~“Release him and clean him up,” I commanded the guards at the gate as I walked out of my pack’s holding ground. With no question asked, the guards nodded and they jumped into action. Before I went into the cell and heard Louis out, the plan was to have him killed in any way he chose but fortunately for him, he presented his case well. Perhaps I should have listened to him a week ago and saved us all the pain and drama. And fortunately for him, his decision to stay alive rather than choose death sounded great to me. Yes, I could have had him killed regardless. I didn’t need him. I could get another Beta within a twinkle of an eye but to be honest, I didn’t want someone else. Louis would be punished but he’d live on as my Beta and together we would revive the dead dreams of our parents. With the newfound determination, I returned to my home where I hadn’t been in a week all because I wanted to avoid Larisa who had been locked and kept in her room. • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   132. A Dreadful Future

ALPHA RAIDEN~~Taking a trip down memory lane with a mysterious white wolf had opened my eyes to many things but nothing compared to the kind of peace, love, and harmony radiating within this pack. I was sitting in front of my hut like I have been doing every evening since I was able to leave the bed and I could feel the genuine joy once again. This pack was smaller compared to mine but it felt bigger than mine because everyone here has a big heart. Of course, they have been wary of me and I wouldn’t blame them. They never cease to offer me a smile or invite me to any gathering even though I was an outsider in their pack. Jeremy was still an ass though. I guess there would always be a Jeremy regardless of how pure a pack is. “There she is.” Lex chimed happily into my mind as he sighted Aurelia through my eyes. He had been looking around for her while I looked at the little kids as they played around. While Katie and Kyle got bullied in my pack and mostly had to hang with Hazel

AURELIA~~“Much better. You are almost as good as new.” Mia Lu applauded. I gasped, panting due to shortness of breath, “Really?” “Hmm hmm…” Mia Lu confirmed to me. “Your heart is almost healed and you are almost ready to use your spiritual energy.” The excitement I felt initially kinda died as the word almost became less satisfying. Almost wasn't enough anymore. I wanted to be able to do things like everyone else. I wanted to start training fully but as it is, I’ve to focus on opening myself to the spiritual energy Tristan was hell bent on blocking for his own benefit. “What do I do to be ready? Why is my heart healing as slow as a snail and can’t I practice healing tricks or seer's abilities with the current level of my spiritual force?” I asked Mia Lu. “I suppose you can but you will be drained before you can master even the simplest tricks and we are not sure if you are a seer or a spiritual guardian like me.” Mia Lu stated as she replied. “The spiritual shield your wolf c

AURELIA~~Raiden led me to a more private area of the pack in silence. I tried to ignore the bile in my throat as Mia Lu’s words echoed in my mind. Mia Lu had made me realize that Raiden wasn’t the only one at fault. I was too.Yes, he hurt me– physically, mentally and emotionally.Yes, he failed me as my mate. Yes, he was wrong in many ways. However, for how long would I hold on to the past? How long would I deprive myself of true happiness? I don’t have to fall in love with him but I could at least stop holding on to hate. I could give him a chance to prove himself to me and most especially the kids. Doing that could also help me acquire massive spiritual energy–“Please have a seat.” Raiden’s gentle tone called me out of my thoughts. Our eyes met before mine fell to the fallen log of a tree he asked me to sit on. I sat and he did too, putting space between us. “I’m sorry for making you feel uncomfortable by asking you–” Raiden began with a sigh.I cut in, gazing at the tre

Princess Katie Anne~~“I won’t let them treat you like this.”I seethed as the tension around us thickened, even though the crowd was still cheering. Davien’s hold around my waist became tighter, and I knew he didn’t want me to lash out, but I had had enough of this. How could they treat him like he didn’t exist, even in a ceremony? Amber had a seat to herself, and so did Damien, who wouldn’t stop staring at me like the creep he was. His parents also dared to flash those false smiles my way, walking over to clearly show me to my seat.“Thank you for joining us, Princess Katie,” Alpha Jarrett uttered with a light voice, and cheers echoed through the hall as members of the Black Fur Pack jubilated. However, I wasn’t merry like the rest of them, and with every second that passed, it became harder to pretend.“Please sit, Princess.” As expected, Luna Cynthia pointed at the only empty seat on the higher platform in the hall.Zoe barked within me, “The audacity!”My wolf’s anger only fue

DAVIEN~~“That can’t be,” Katie whispered as she staggered into the bedroom, her face pale and hands trembling.I picked up the bag Jade had dropped, followed Katie into our bedroom, and locked the door behind me.“She really is dead?” She asked me, horror etched into her stormy blue eyes.I nodded, shocked that Katie didn’t know that Aunt Jessica had died thirteen years ago. My mate collapsed on the bed, and I knelt before her, holding her hand and telling her to breathe.“To protect Katie and Kyle, Aurelia hid the news of Jessica’s death from them. I also don’t know the full story, but I am at fault because of the part I played. Larisa might have pulled the trigger that killed Jessica, but I put her in the position to get killed for my selfish desires,” Dolf said to me, taking on the blame even though we all knew he had nothing to do with everything that went down thirteen years ago.“You mean it’s all Tristan’s fault. You can’t take the blame, Dolf, and it wasn’t right for Jade

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   84: The Perfect Dress

Princess Katie Anne~~Davien and I woke up late in the afternoon. While Davien had more than enough reason to sleep for as long as we did, I didn’t have any because—“You have more than enough reasons, too, Katie. Have you forgotten what Davien did to you before you both slept?” Zoe asked before shoving explicit images of Davien fucking me into my mind as if I didn’t live that memory a few hours ago.I turned red and threw the covers over my face while Davien went to answer the door. Fortunately for whoever was at the door, Davien and I woke up before he or she could disrupt the peace we worked hard to achieve.I wouldn’t have forgiven the person at the door if they had woken Davien, regardless of the reason.“Hey, Jade. Why are you here?” The familiarity and affection in Davien’s voice didn’t go unnoticed.Zuri chimed through the mind link, “I thought he said he didn’t have a friend here? Who is Jade, and why does he smell as happy as he sounds?”Call me jealous, but I was out of

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   83: Hard and Fast

Princess Katie Anne~~My mate was struggling. I could sense that fact all through the night, but I had to pretend like I didn’t because I didn’t know how to help him. The second I opened my eyes this morning and saw his face, I knew he didn’t get enough sleep or maybe didn’t get to sleep at all.It was at that point that I knew I had to find a way to help him escape the demons that haunted him in his sleep. It’s only been a night in Black Fur, and he already looked like shit. I couldn’t let his family think for a minute that they were getting to him.“What if I take the memories away?” I blurted before I could stop myself.Damien, who had just rolled out of bed, stopped dead in his tracks and looked at me with his brows raised. “Huh?”“I don’t really know how, but I know Grandma Iris performed a trick that erased Kyle’s memories after he was rescued from Larisa. I can call her, ask her how to do it, and do the same for you so you can have peace, Davien.”I tried to explain to my ma

DAVIEN~~Of course, the right-hand side of the father. Of our father.Since we were young but old enough to understand power and the amount that came with being the pack's next Alpha, Damien had made himself our dad’s right hand, and our dad made it easier for him to do that since he was the favorite child.Usually, I would have chosen to sit at the foot of the table or eat alone, but since my dad was invited to dinner and asked to sit right here by my dad, I should have known Damien would have a problem with that.“He is so full of himself,” Dolf grumbled within me, almost showing himself and just how powerful he was, even though we had both agreed to keep him a secret for as long as possible. My family still didn’t know I had a wolf, and when they found out, I knew it would change everything. My brother would most likely see me as a threat for the first time since we were born.“Wait till they find out I am your wolf,” Dolf chuckled as Katie’s response to Damien echoed through th

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   81: Far From Home

Princess Katie Anne~~Speaking to my family over the phone was new. I had never had to communicate with them through any form of technology, but since I was far from them and wouldn’t be able to use the mindlink, I had to settle for my cellphone, which I hardly used before now.“I have to go now, Dad. It’s dinnertime here, and it would be rude to keep the leaders of this pack waiting for me,” I said to my dad, who had refused to end the call.He wasn’t the only one who took ages before passing the phone to someone else. Every one of my siblings, except Kyle, who wasn’t with the family currently, wouldn’t let the phone go, and they also wouldn’t put it on speaker so I could talk to everyone simultaneously. My mom, being her sacrificial and understanding self, let the phone go after she made sure I was fine, but of course, my dad had to say, “I am sure they can wait. You are the princess, and you are talking to your dad. You know? The King?”“That’s just being cocky, Dad.” I laughed

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   80: Ferocious Cat

DAVIEN~~My Ferocious CatGoddess! I was so right when I referred to my mate as that. She was everything a ferocious cat should be—meek, calculative, elegant, beautiful, and deadly. She could be a domesticated cat, but one should never mistake that for weakness, because she was naturally a wild one, even in bed.Yeah, seeing and hearing her insult Damien had my balls tightening. I could see the bear in me surfacing, ready to rip Katie’s clothes to shreds as soon as we got to our room—“This is your room, Princess Katie,” my mom announced, and I knew better than to ignore the fact that she called it Katie’s room and not OUR room. My mom confirmed that her choice of words wasn’t a mistake when she added, “You can stay in your old room after you help the princess settle in, Dave.”Katie was quick to say, “We will be staying in the same room, Luna Cynthia.”My mom smiled sheepishly and muttered, “There are many rooms in the mansion, Princess. You can have all the privacy you need, and D

Princess Katie Anne~~“Next Luna?” A high-pitched, contentious voice struck my eardrums despite the cheers of the pack members, and just like that, my first opposition, who couldn’t hide her hate, stepped forward, standing confidently with her head high in the air.She stated, her amber eyes piercing my skull before they shifted between Alpha Jarrett and Luna Cynthia, “I believe that title is mine. It’s my birthright and—”“Now is not the time, Amber,” Alpha Jarrett scolded her, but that didn’t kill the flame in Amber’s eyes.Clearly, she didn’t respect him, and while I kept staring at her to see if I would recognize her from when I was younger, Zoe chimed into my mind, “Amber eyes, and she was named Amber. Her parents didn’t even try.”I didn’t get the joke, but somehow Zuri did, and she chuckled with Zoe, both of them effortlessly mocking Amber.“When will the time be, Alpha? The pack is gathered, and you just announced that a brat who left the pack many years ago, only to return

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   78: Next Luna

Princess Katie Anne~~I could feel my heart racing even though I tried to hide it and control the rush of emotions that attacked my nervous system the second we drove into Black Fur pack.Somewhere at the back of my mind, I could see my younger self giggling as we drove out of Black Fur. I could see the big smile on my face because I was excited to leave the pack for the first time in my life.I recalled holding my mom and Kyle while my little mind rapidly took in the possibility of adventure that awaited us, even though I didn’t know half of the thoughts that were racing through my mom’s mind that day.I bet she was terrified that day, but she kept a strong face for Kyle and me. Now, it was my turn to be strong for Davien and my family. As Garrick drove the car towards the Alpha’s mansion, following Davien’s direction, I tried to look around, searching for some sort of familiarity, even though I knew recognizing anything or anyone from my childhood here would stir up my emotions.
