The plan to expose Jake and Nathalie brings a smile to my face. I’ve swapped the original wedding video with the video of their private moment. I discreetly made a video of them yesterday.
The guest gasps seeing Jake and Nathalie's intimate scene playing on the screen. I turn around to see everyone's reaction.
Jake’s eyes widen in disbelief as he stares at me. He’s speechless, his mouth hanging open. Nathalie, too, looks horrified. "You... you did this?" she asks, in a trembling voice.
I smile calmly and whisper, "I did."
As I watch everyone’s reactions I feel guilty already for causing the joyous occasion to turn sour.
I gather my gown in my hands and run out of the venue. But as I flee, I suddenly stop when I feel a gaze piercing through me.
A man stands in the distance, his eyes locked on mine, a sly smile tugging at the corner of his lips. His presence is unsettling like he’s seeing right through me.
"Nadine!" Sydney calls out, snapping me back to reality. I tear my gaze away from the mysterious man and rush back to my room. Once inside, I slump to the floor and cry, releasing all the pain I’ve been holding in.
Sydney quietly enters, wrapping her arms around me without saying a word. This only makes me cry harder. "I can’t keep hiding, Sydney," I cry. "I have to face this."
Sydney nods, squeezing my hand. "I’ll be right here for you."
Suddenly, the door flies open, and my dad storms in, his face red with anger. "What in God’s name got into you?" he shouts. "Do you know what you’ve done? You’ve dragged our family’s name through the mud. I expected better from you, Nadine!"
He moves closer, still furious. "When you saw them together, you should have come to me. Why didn’t you?"
I look up at him, trembling, my voice barely a whisper. "Dad, I’m hurt. You know how much I loved Jake."
"I don’t care!" he roars. "You must go back and marry Jake right now. This wedding needs to happen."
Tears stream down my face as I stare at him in disbelief. I want to scream, to beg him to listen, but I know better than to raise my voice. I drop to my knees, clutching his leg. "Dad, please," I plead, my voice breaking. "I can’t marry him. I’ll never be happy with Jake."
His face remains indifferent. "Stop this nonsense," he growls. "This marriage is important for our family. We need Jake’s family’s power and wealth to save us from bankruptcy. Don’t you understand?"
I shake my head, my heart breaking. "Please, Dad, I can’t."
But his response is cold and final. "If you won’t marry him, Nathalie will."
I look up sharply at my dad, he doesn't mean what he says, and I stare at him again, too shocked to speak. "Nathalie?" I manage to whisper.
"Yes," he says, with a firm tone that leaves no room for arguments. "If you don’t, she will."
My world crumbles around me as I watch my father storm out, leaving me in an emotional mess of confusion. Sydney rushes to my side again, her arms around me as I break into another cry, I can't imagine my life turning out this way.
I cried for a long time. I am exhausted and emotionally drained, I sit in silence, staring into space. After a long moment, then I turn to Sydney. "I need to witness this wedding," I say quietly.
Sydney’s eyes widened in shock. "Are you sure?"
I nod, wiping away the last of my tears. "Yes, I need to see it for myself."
I check through my wardrobe, picking out a comfortable outfit. As I apply some makeup, Sydney watches me through the mirror. "Are you sure about this?" she asks again.
I nod once more, without a word. We walk back to the wedding venue and slip into the crowd unnoticed. No one pays attention to us, they’re all busy with the event.
Just then, Jake’s voice echoes through the room. "Hello, everyone. The wedding will go on as planned. Sorry for the earlier... mishaps."
As I watch him, all I want to do is slam his face into the wall.
My father walks in, leading Nathalie to Jake. We’re identical twins, people who aren’t close to the family can't tell the difference between us. Nathalie looks stunning in her white dress, and my dad beams with pride as he walks her down the aisle.
They say their vows, promising forever, as the officiant pronounces them husband and wife. The crowd cheers, but I sit alone, drowning in misery. The pain is unbearable, making me feel isolated even in a room full of people.
At the reception, I down drink after drink, the champagne flowing freely. I begin to feel tipsy, and that’s when I notice him—the man from earlier. He’s tall, confident, and undeniably attractive, with a commanding presence that draws attention. His strong jaw and piercing blue eyes seem to see right through me. He’s impeccably dressed in a tailored suit, his broad shoulders and athletic build shows he works a lot.
He watches me intently, and when our eyes meet, he smiles, revealing his dimples. My heart skips a beat. Without thinking, I walked over to him. "Hi, handsome," I say, my words slurred
"Hello," he replies, his voice smooth and welcoming. "How are you?"
"I’m fine," I responded, leaning in closer. "You know, you’re quite..."
"Good-looking?" he finishes my sentence with a smirk.
I nod, my cheeks flushing. "Yes, exactly." I rest my hand on his broad shoulder, sparks I couldn't deny erupting
Leaning in even closer, I whisper, "It’s getting pretty hot in here. How about we find a place to go?"
His smirk deepens, and he stands, offering me his arm like a true gentleman. "Shall we?" he asks.
Without hesitation, I take his arm, and together, we leave the venue, then my lips crash on his lips.
We walk hand in hand out of the venue, and I can’t take my eyes off him. He is devilishly handsome. Everyone stares, in shock. I know it’s because of the Greek god by my side.In my tipsy state, I feel bold, clinging to him like a schoolgirl. "Take all of me tonight, make me feel whole again," I slur."As you wish, my lady," he replies with a grin.My cheeks flush as I lean in and kiss him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He responds eagerly, his lips warm and inviting."You taste divine," I murmur, lost in the moment."You are beautiful," he says softly, his gaze intense. We stroll down the street, his hand in mine. The connection is exciting and comforting. Without a word, we seem to understand each other perfectly as we stop in front of a hotel. It feels like a spell has been cast on me, making me throw caution to the wind. The hotel lobby is grand, with high ceilings, marble floors, and a majestic staircase. Expensive art lines the walls, and the air smells of fresh flowers.I
Logan's POVWhen I wake up, I can’t stop thinking about what happened last night. I reach out for her in bed, hoping to feel her close to me, but she’s not there.I jump out of bed, calling her name, but there’s no response.I walk to the bathroom, but she’s not there either.Back in the room, I spot an envelope and a note on the nightstand."I need time to reflect on what happened last night between us. Please understand that my choice isn’t about you. I left some money to cover my part of the hotel costs. Take care, Nadine."Immediately, I pick up my phone and call one of my men."Good morning, sir.""Good morning, Mark. Find that lady from last night.""Yes, boss."I head to the bathroom and freshen up, then my phone rings again. Mark’s voice comes through the line."Did you find her?" I ask, praying for a positive response."Yes, sir. She’s at the bridge.""Damn it, tell me the location now."I rush out of the hotel, one of the many I own. My chauffeur is already waiting in the ca
Nadine's POVI wait eagerly for his response, but he stays silent for some time, his eyes locked on mine as if trying to read my thoughts. His intense gaze makes me uneasy, but I gather the courage to ask, "What is it?"He leans back, a smirk tugging at his lips, and finally reveals his proposition. "A contract marriage with me for two years. I'll help you get the revenge you need and settle your mother's medical bill," he says matter-of-factly.I’m shocked at how much he knows about me. My mother has been ill for quite some time, and my father has shown no concern whatsoever. Despite my father’s indifference, she still loves him unconditionally.I’ve tried several times to raise money on my own, but every attempt has failed. My mother’s health continues to deteriorate, and I feel helpless."How do you know so much about me? We’ve never met before," I blurt out, unable to contain my curiosity."I take pleasure in knowing about people who pique my interest," he replies with a stoic exp
Sinking into the softness of the couch, I gaze at the shimmering ring on my finger. How did my life change so suddenly?I was supposed to be Mrs. Nadine Bennett, but fate had other plans. Now, I’m married to none other than Logan West. He’s undeniably the most powerful man in the city. Though he keeps a low profile, his name alone strikes fear into the hearts of many. No one dares cross him; his presence commands authority and his very stance radiates power.Life with Logan has been a whirlwind of emotions. True to his word, he stays out of my affairs, and I do my best to stay out of his.I’m grateful I took a month off while preparing for my wedding with Jake. Now, I have time to figure out what it means to be Logan’s wife. After signing the contract, a priest came in to marry us, and a stranger signed as our witness. I went to see my mom afterward, and thankfully, her dialysis treatment for chronic kidney disease is going well. The media has been buzzing about Jake’s marriage to Na
She evaluates me with a piercing gaze as if sizing me up to see if I’m fit to be her son’s wife. I shake it off and square my shoulders, take a deep breath, stretch my hand, and say, “It’s nice to meet you, ma’am.”Suddenly, her face brightens into a warm smile, and she pulls me into a hug. I’m startled that she accepts me with open arms.“Logan, are you sure about her being your wife?” she asks, needing to confirm she heard correctly.“Yes, Mother, she is my wife. We’ve been married for quite some time now,” he explains, looking at me with emotions I can't put into words, with Logan one can't be sure he draws me closer and kisses me softly on the lips. It's like my heart stops breathing for a while as I stand there frozen taking in his kiss slowly and steadily like I have been expecting it.Logan’s kiss lingers, leaving me breathless, my heart racing with emotions, I can't put into words. I wonder if he feels this strange pull between us or if it’s just an act for him.“Oh, stop it,
Logan notices my unease and pulls me close in a protective way that makes my heart swell. Despite his stoic nature, he can tell that something is wrong. "Are you alright?" he whispers, his breath warm against my ear.I nod my head because words are caught in my throat. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the man who just entered. His gaze locks onto mine like he's not expecting to see me here. Of course, I didn’t think I’d meet him here. His eyes have always been my weak point. When I stare into them, I am always lost in those eyes. They held so many secrets. I remember how my heart pounded loudly in my chest with just a look from him. He’d been my crush for what felt like forever until he finally asked me out.But like every fairy tale, I foolishly clung to him, thinking he felt the same way about me.Even now, thinking about my time with him makes my stomach twist in disgust. It later dawned on me that I was just a pawn in his game, foolishly in love with someone who never cared. As D
The kiss is slow and sensual. I can tell whose lips are on mine as sparks erupt all around me, my body aching more for his touch. The feelings I had for him during our first night are still etched in my mind, and it's so damn hard to shake them off, no matter how I try.I know I shouldn't encourage this, so I slowly open my eyes. I'm not mistaken. It's Logan. My hand presses against his chest. My hands are weak because of how he makes me feel, but I try, gently pushing him away.“What’s wrong with you?” I whisper, but you can tell my voice is sharp, trying to hide how shaken I am by the inflow of emotions. His eyes are dark and filled with lust as they roam my body in a way that makes me shudder under his gaze. I can tell that he knows the effect he has on me.“This can’t happen.” Clutching my towel tightly, I back away, putting distance between us.I take a deep breath, fighting the pull that wants to drag me back to him. No matter how strong the attraction, I can't afford to lose c
The air in the room feels heavy with tension as I take my seat between Daniel and Lily. Daniel’s intense gaze follows my every move, while opposite me, Logan's eyes are fixated on me with a silent intensity. Around the table, they discuss lively, but I can’t shake the feeling of being out of place. I notice that Logan isn’t contributing much to the conversation; his answers are monotone. It’s evident that they all share a close bond that I only admire from the sidelines.“Nadine, I hope you’re enjoying your meal,” Florence says, her face lighting up with genuine happiness that I’m in Logan’s life.“Yes, ma,” I reply, bringing the glass of orange drink to my lips and taking a sip, trying to focus on the food in front of me as a distraction from the tension swirling around the table. Lily’s voice pulls me back to the present moment. “You know, Nadine, I was wondering how you and Logan met. I’m so glad love has finally found him.”Summoning every ounce of courage I can muster, I fix my
Nadine's POVThese past few weeks have been the best of my life. Shawn knows Logan is his dad, and it’s been a smooth ride. He sticks to Logan's side all day, and Logan, being the doting father, has no other obligation than to satisfy his son’s desires. Our dates are magical, and we’ve been on so many more since then. Logan spoils me silly, making every moment feel special. During one of our outings, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I couldn’t care less about the label because I knew he wanted to woo me—that’s how he puts it.Logan’s family is eager for us to bring Shawn around so he can get to know his father’s side. I see pure love in their eyes as they bask in Shawn’s presence. Later, I find out that the blonde Logan pointed out at the restaurant with Chris is Lucas’s girlfriend. I feel a flush of embarrassment when I remember how I wanted to march up to her and stake my claim on Logan. Thank goodness I didn’t do that! I turn to Logan and playfully smack his chest. “Ouch!” h
Logan's POVI can’t get enough of Nadine. She’s like a soothing balm for my aching heart, and after giving her multiple orgasms, I feel like I’ve been on one hell of a ride.I want every part of her to bear my mark, so no man dares to come close to what is mine. I trail kisses over her body as she slowly opens her eyes. “No, not again, Logan,” she murmurs, feeling my erection pressing against her.I can’t count the number of times I’ve had an erection just from kissing her, and each time, it leads to amazing sex—an explosion of pent-up desire finally released. “I need to see my boy,” she whines, making her way toward the bathroom.I smile as I watch her. I want to see my boy too, but I dream of us being a family, all under one roof. Waking up each morning with Nadine by my side, peppering her with kisses and sending her into ecstasy before I head off to work. I imagine my son jumping up and down on my bed, trying to wake us up. The picture brings a smile to my face.Suddenly, I real
Nadine's POV.He pulls away and asks me a question I wasn’t expecting. Things are moving faster than I thought, but I know we’ve been avoiding our feelings for too long. We’ve both suffered in denial.“Go on a date with me,” he says softly, his eyes searching mine for a reaction. But I know I’m ready to take that leap of faith for us.I smile warmly, letting him see just how open I am to his request.“Of course, yes.”The smile that lights up his face is beyond ordinary, it’s captivating, pulling me in like a spell. He draws me closer and kisses me gently, and I savor the bliss that washes over me. Then it hits me—I need to call Rosa to let her know I won’t be home tonight. There’s no way I’m leaving here; I just want to stay in his arms all night. He notices the shift in my mood and asks, “What’s wrong?”“I need to call Rosa.”“Oh, how’s our son doing?” he asks, watching closely, testing if I’ll show any vulnerability.“He’s fine, but he wasn’t too happy with us leaving so suddenly.
I can’t believe what I just heard. My heart leaps with joy, pounding so hard I feel it might burst from my chest. “I’m right where I should be,” she whispers. It feels surreal. “Say that again, Nadine,” I urged, my face lighting up with happiness.“Oh, stop, Logan,” she replies, covering her face with her hands.Unable to contain my excitement, I scoop her up in a bridal carry and head up the stairs.“Drop me! I can walk by myself!” she laughs, but I can’t help my joy as I carry her with happiness.“Where are you taking me?” she asks, laughing.“To my bathroom. Remember that day you had your bath here?” She nods her head against my chest, a playful smile on her lips.I can’t seem to have a bath without thinking about that day. I kick the door open and step inside, gently lowering her to her feet under the shower. As the warm water cascades around us, I slowly start to remove her clothes, then peel off my own until we are both naked, feeling the heat envelop us.I take a moment to ad
He moves his hand down, sliding my pants aside, and finds my clit with his fingers. I shudder, arching my back as he continues to press deeper. He adds another finger, fucking me with it, but it doesn’t come close to satisfying the longing that’s consumed me for years. No amount of self-control can hold back the desire that surges through me.His fingers alone can’t quench my thirst. All I want is his dick inside me, filling me, while my clit clench around him.He slams into me with all the raw power I remember from our first night together, igniting a fire deep in me.That night is etched in my memory, and each time I use my toy, I picture him, as I thrust in and out reliving the raw connection I feel that reckless night. As he drives deeper, sensations flood back, every gasp, every moan, every brush of his skin against mine. I remember the way he looked at me, his eyes dark with desire, as if I were the only thing that mattered in the world.I think of how desperately I craved him
"Nadine," he calls my name, and my knees go weak. I can’t help myself; I lunge at him, pressing my lips to his. He swings into action immediately, without hesitation, as if he’s been waiting for this moment. What does this man do to me? He kisses me back, matching my intensity, pouring as much desire into the kiss as I do.I know this man. His presence etches itself into every part of my being. I can’t stay sane without him. I know it sounds cliché, but it’s the damn truth. He owns me, and I’m sure he feels the same. My encounter with Chris is a wake-up call, reminding me to hold on tight to what I have. Rosa’s words echo in my mind, even if she thinks I didn’t hear: I shouldn’t let a good man slip away.“Oh, Nad,” he whispers, his hands roaming over my body, cupping my butt. I wrap my legs around him, keeping our lips locked. He carries me to the couch, laying me down gently before finally pulling away.“What the hell, Logan?” I snap, frustration bubbling up like a child denied th
Nadine's POV I'm still reeling from Logan's sudden appearance and departure. My heart was racing, and my body trembling with desire. How does he do this to me? I feel like I'm trapped in a web of longing, unable to escape. The way he touched me, his fingers tracing my skin, sending shivers down my spine. His eyes, burning with intensity, seeing right through me. And that whispered question, 'What do you want?'... It's as if he knows I'm powerless against him.I try to shake off the feeling, telling myself I'm on a date with Chris, but Logan's presence has awakened something deep within me. I can't deny the connection between us.Chris... poor Chris. He has no idea what's going on. I feel guilty, about using him as a distraction from Logan. But Logan's games are exhausting. Why can't he leave me alone? As I return to the table, Chris notices my flushed cheeks and asks if I'm okay. I force a smile, trying to brush it off, but he sees right through me.'Everything alright?' he asks, con
Logan's POVI keep tabs on her, my men tracking her every move. But tonight feels different. I'm told that she’s going on a date with Chris Meyers, the kind of guy who can charm his way into anyone’s heart. I know he won’t stop until he has Nadine under his spell, and the thought twists my heart with disgust, a sharp pang of jealousy tightening my chest.Even from afar, I sense her unease. Her eyes darted around, searching for someone, anyone, watching her. Little does she know, it’s me.Kelly, my brother Lucas’s girlfriend, is nearby. Lucas has been pushing me to meet her, and as soon as he steps away to take a call, I know it’s my moment to move closer. When I point at Kelly as my date, I see it in her eyes—she’s ready to tear her apart from miles away.Returning to my seat, I feel Nadine’s gaze follow me, tracking my every move. When she finally stands, I slip away, quietly following her.She heads toward the restroom, and I follow, keeping my distance as I move discreetly in the
The past few weeks have been a wild ride, just as I expected. I've spent more time at my flower shop and squeezed in several dates. Some of them? Total snooze-fests. They drone on about themselves—their accomplishments, their families without ever asking what I want. One guy bragged so much that you'd think I was lucky just to be sitting across from him.Another couldn’t stop talking about his mom and his pet, which screamed a red flag from a mile away.Logan’s been away a lot, but he still checks on Shawn when I’m not around, always making sure to send flowers. This time, though, he didn’t come by in person to place the order. But his absence is obvious even Ava can't stop talking about the gorgeous man who ordered flowers which I know she is referring to Logan Even Shawn has noticed, asking where Logan’s been. I just shrug, unsure of the answer. He followed up the flowers with a sweet message that had me grinning from ear to ear.Lately, I’ve been exploring more—going on dates, unw
