The Landing

Julian’s POV

I sighed. “Oh, come on, Mia. Don’t turn away from me now.”

She didn’t look at me. Her voice was sharp. “Do you know that you’re a pathetic man, Dylan? You can’t just say things like that to me anymore, so please stop. I’d rather talk about anything else.”

Her words hit hard. Not because I didn’t expect the anger. I did and I know I deserved it. But hearing the girl who once loved everything about me express her hatred for me, made it worse.

She was done with me. No.

I can't accept defeat.

I sat there, staring at her, wondering what I could say to her to make her love me again. The way her body turned slightly toward the window, like she couldn’t even bear to look at me. It hurt more than I could say.

Why didn’t she believe me? I wasn’t lying. I wasn’t playing games with her.

I was here, telling the truth.

But she couldn’t see it.

She didn’t want to trust me anymore.

I hated the silence that started to stretch between us again. I hated how easily we kept falli

I hadn’t been back here since I entered college and moved into an apartment with Michael but it still felt familiar. It felt like home. Mia nudged me a bit and said quietly. “Remember you have to smile and be friendly, Mr. Scott. There are little kids here, you don’t want to scare them, do you?”I scoffed. “I'm a freaking billionaire. They should kiss the path I walk on and fear my presence.”“Oh, please, Mr. Scott.” she laughed sarcastically. “You’re not that important just because you're rich.”“What do you mean by I'm not that important?”“I said what I said. Mia's POV "I can't do this anymore, Mia; I'm done with you." I'm done with you? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. No. We can't be done this way. "You're done with me?" I asked sarcastically."You can't do what exactly anymore? Tell me what it is you're not doing anymore Dylan! I want to know. You know how much I like you and you know I kept my virginity for you. I kept it for you, and you gladly took it; now you're telling me you're done? Is this some sick joke?.""I'm not joking right now Mia, and you should get over this whole "I let you take my virginity" shit for f*cks sake. I didn't beg you to keep it for me and it's not anything special anyway. It was just a tight fresh p*ssy then. Now it's less tight, thanks to me", he smirked.I scoffed, feeling my cheeks heat up. "It's nothing special? Really? That's all you have to say? I can't believe this. Are you ending things because you can't stop seeing me as your best friend's sister? Is that it?"He laughed. Ten years later Mia's POV"Welcome, Miss Jason. We're so excited to finally have you here with us. Thank you for making it" I smiled at her. "Thank you, too, for welcoming me. I'm glad to be here, and I can't wait to work with you all." They had no idea. She laughed a bit, using her hand to cover her mouth. "Although we've already spoken a couple of times on the phone, I'll introduce everyone to you, starting with myself!"She touched her chest. "As you already know, I'm Kira, the head of resources and welfare, and I've been working here for the last six years, then this is Mr. Scott's assistant, Bella. She's been here for four years" She gestured to a petite pretty woman sitting beside her who looked bored. Of course, his assistant is this pretty; I'm sure he's f*cked her, too.Kira nodded toward a man sitting nearby. "This is Sheldon, our Vice President. He practically started the company with Mr. Scott, so he's been here the longest out of everyone in this board meeting, and he k

Dylan's POVI didn't know I'd missed seeing her beautiful brown eyes this much and for a moment, I'd lost all control of my senses. I wanted to rush over to her and kiss her, but the indifferent look on her face brought me back to my senses."It's nice to finally meet you, Mr Scott.", she said smugly"It's Nice to meet me?", I scoffed in disbelief. How can she comfortably act like this is the first time we're meeting each other? She nodded slightly, with a faint smile on her face. I couldn't help but notice how damn gorgeous she was now. She'd always been a pretty girl, but now– she was a full-grown, sexy woman with perfect curves. I wonder how she'd look beneath me again."Dylan, Miss Jason here is-""Save it. I know who Mia is, Sheldon.""That's Good then. Although, I wasn't aware you knew who she was.", Kira said with a confused look on her face."I know her very well, Kira", you all have no idea.Mia showed no emotion over me or my claiming to know her. • Chasing After My Best Friend’s Sister    Still Insane

Mia's POV Dylan is still a horrible person; well, it's not like I expected him to be a changed man or anything by now, but how could he act all familiar and cosy with me like we're long-time friends? Okay, maybe we were, but not anymore. Not after what he did to me.I'm only here to do my job, and when I'm done with that, we'll go our separate ways again. This is all about business so I'll just have to do my best to put up with him for as long as we're working together. I keep having this feeling he's going to be unnecessarily difficult, but that's fine; I came prepared for his bullshit.I was more than exhausted by the time I got back to the hotel room Dylan's " assistant" kindly arranged for me; I could bet anything he was fucking her secretly, though, but I don't care; that's the kind of man he is. I just hope she doesn't make the same mistake I made.I groaned as I threw myself into the bed. Another day, another stuck-up, arrogant client. This has been my life since I graduated b

I know her better than she knows herself, whether she'd like to admit it or not."You do know you shouldn't be here right now?" She said as I walked in, "We are business partners, but this isn't in any way part of business.""We were more than just business partners at one time, weren't we?", I smirked."Oh my gosh! That was ten whole years ago. Can you not bring that up?" She slammed the door behind her in annoyance."Well, you can't blame me for remembering our beautiful past, Miss Jason." I said as I took a seat by the table."Can you please just leave already?!" She paced the room muttering stuff to herself, one of the things she did when she was pissed. My eyes watched her full boobs with pointed nipples, bouncing up and down as she marched round the room. When she looked up at me and noticed where my eyes were, she stopped moving and f

PRESENT [After the Photoshoot]Mia's POV We were sitting in Scott’s private jet. I was as far away from him as possible, my back against the seat. After everything that had happened at the photoshoot three days ago, and then the uncomfortable meeting with the woman he’d brought to my brother's birthday party to rub in my face, I needed space from him.The last two days had been jam-packed with press interviews, more shoots and foster home visits, leaving no time to talk.Today was going to be the hardest day we’d faced so far. I didn’t want to talk or think about the past, but here we were, about to face it head-on. Dylan was going home with me to California for the first time in more than ten years.I was hoping word didn’t get round this time because I wasn't in the mood to get rushed my journalists and photographers when we land. I thought I was prepared for everything, but l feel like my feelings for him started to change during that photoshoot. It was the way he looked at me wit

I couldn't wait to see him and maybe even kiss him again. I wore a blue sundress, my heart racing as I waited for him to arrive. It was my brother's birthday, and my parents were throwing a huge party for him even though he begged them not to. I knew Dylan would be there. He wouldn’t miss his best friend's party.“You look so beautiful, Mia darling!” my mom said, stepping into my room with a smile. “And you're really starting to look like a woman.”I smiled back. Of course, I looked like a woman; l am one now.Did Dylan see me as one too?“Your brother was looking for you a few minutes ago, so I came to find you”, she added.“What did Michael want this time?” I rolled my eyes.“I can’t remember much but it's something about the fr

She's always had a soft spot for children and so I decided to use that to my advantage somehow. She shook her head and looked away, “There's no way I'm falling for this, so just get yourself ready and let's go.” “But I wanna take pictures with my Mia,” I whined, trying to make my voice sound weak and cute, which was really hard because I'm a full-grown man now.She sighed and looked at me. “Didn't you hear what I said? Haven't you read the articles and blog posts about us? This would give them more to talk about!”“But-”“But nothing!” She looked pissed, “This doesn't affect you but it will clearly affect me in a lot of bad ways. Not here.“We're back to you calling me Mr. Scott again? what the hell do you want me to say or do to-”“I want you to stop talking nonsense and start getting ready for the photo shoot and interview.” I crossed my arms across my chest and sighed while trying to calm myself down. He was really getting on my last nerve. He scoffed then said in a childish tone, “Alright then, Mom! I'll get changed first.” He quickly removed his tie and unbuttoned his shirt.“Your clothes for the shoot aren't even here yet and you could've waited for me to leave the room first.” I shook my head and turned round to leave.“Why would you want to leave the room, Miss Jason? She stormed out without waiting for a response. The ride there was twenty minutes of tense hell but I could understand why she was this upset. I guess I gave out too much information about our past, but I couldn't help it.When we got to the waiting room, I grabbed her hand and pulled her in close to hug her but she managed to drag her hand out of my grasp.
