I spent the night alone in my room. Payton tried to comfort me, and Arabella tried to get me to eat, but I refused to open the door for either of them. I was feeling sorry for myself and I didn't want to deal with anyone. A bubble bath sounded nice, so I took one and soaked in it for hours. By the time I got out, the water was stone cold, making me think I might have fallen asleep at some point. After I dried my hair, I headed to bed, only to be woken in the morning by banging on my door.

I groaned and rolled over in bed, pulling the duvet over my head. I didn't even bother to ask who was there because I just assumed it would be Payton or Arabella, and I didn't want to listen to their pity or pep talks. The banging on the door got louder and louder. They wouldn’t take no for an answer, I guessed, but they were going to have to.

"Aubrey, open this damn door!" Chase yelled.

"Chase?" I said, shock making the word come out slow.

"Yes! Now, are you goi

I laid there in Chase's arms after a night of the most incredible sex I'd ever had. It was strange, since becoming Alpha he was more animalistic than usual, and I wouldn’t lie, I loved it. But this morning, I was aching and completely exhausted. He, on the other hand, was raring to go. He kissed my neck, sending tingling shivers down my spine. I groaned a little."Chase, no. I'm exhausted."He growled lightly against my neck, sending another wave of shivers through me."Please, baby. I'll be gentle, I swear. Just one more time. I want the feeling of you cumming all over my cock to be etched into my mind all day. I need it to get me through. It should be us spending the day together before our wedding."Without saying a word, I grabbed his face and kissed him. My tongue slipped into his mouth to greet his. I swung my leg over him and reached for his excited cock, placing the tip at my entrance. As I eased it inside, he groaned into my mouth, so I grinded

When it got to seven a.m., I decided it was pointless trying to sleep. I got up and went for a shower, before getting dressed. Sitting on my bed, wracked with nerves, I glanced at my phone. No messages. I thought Chase might have messaged me, considering he was trapped in the house in the woods. But he didn't. Then I remembered how drunk he was last night and figured he was sleeping off a hangover.I startled when I heard a tap on the door. Heart pounding, I hoped it was Chase."Brie?" Payton called out.My heart rate slowed back down. "Yeah, come in."She walked in holding a dress bag. Looking elegant, she wore a dusty aqua blue bridesmaid’s dress. It was long to the floor, but nipped in at the waist, showing off her curves. It also had one thick strap that went across the top of her chest and over her shoulder, and as she walked past me, I could see that the strap flared out into a train at the back.It was stunning, and I smiled afte

“You don’t get to talk to her like that,” Chase snapped while reaching his hand around to pull me behind him. “Not anymore. She’s my wife, not an object to be won or lost.”Jesse threw his head back and let out a booming chuckle, which was promptly followed by the mocking laughter of his pack of misfits. The guests from the wedding were silent and I could tell that many wanted to leave, but they couldn’t pull themselves away from the car crash that was my life. Tears rolled down my cheeks as every ounce of the happy future I’d been dreaming of faded away. My heart was elated and broken all at once, and I couldn’t handle the magnitude of the emotions that were bombarding me. Jesse was alive and well, but my marriage was over before it had even begun. While the pair of them continued their Alpha pissing match, I began to walk away. They hadn’t even noticed that I’d gone until I was nearly at the trees. I could hear them calling after me, begging me to come back, but every time I thought

“Hey, Kiddo?” My dad’s whispered words pulled me from my slumber. With a fractured groan, I stretched my arms into the air, trying to relieve some of the muscle aches that plagued my body. Sleeping upright in the car wasn’t the most comfortable and my joints hurt like a bitch. A few cracks here and there relieved some of my discomfort. I peeled my eyes open when my dad opened up the car door, and I was glad that the sun had long since set in the sky. I didn’t look at him, my gaze dropped down to my twitching fingers. They seemed to be rhythmic in their movements and I remembered that I had fallen asleep stroking my brother’s fur.“Where's Austin?” I asked in a croaky voice.“He didn’t want to gross you out with his naked ass, so he ran off into the house to get dressed.”A smile spread across my face. He was right, that would have grossed the hell out of me. When Austin was in his wolf form, I didn’t see him as my little brother, but if he shifted at any point during our trip home, I

I laid down on the floor and gazed up into the beautiful night sky. The stars twinkled, and it was the first time in weeks that I felt at complete peace. I sensed something in the distance towards the trees, so I turned my head to look at what was there. My eyes grew wide when I saw them. Just outside of town lines were Chase and Jesse. Behind them were their packs. They were waiting for me, calling to me, although now I couldn’t hear them.My heart began to beat faster and faster as excitement and joy took over me. Seeing them made me happier than I could have imagined. Their beautiful, sparkling green eyes and their dimpled smiles drew me in instantly. I loved them more than anything in this world, but now that everything was silent, I could think clearly for the first time in weeks. Had they been there the entire time? Was this all happening because of them?I stood up and they both edged forward but stopped dead like they couldn’t cross an invisible barrier or something. I moved f

“That should do the trick,” she announced in a chirpy voice. “You'll need to keep those earplugs in for at least a week while your eardrums heal. Otherwise, the noise will be too much for you and they won’t heal. Your hearing is super-charged, so hearing us through the earplugs shouldn’t be an issue.”I nodded at her but she didn’t give me a chance to thank her, or say anything at all, really. She turned to my parents and said,“Right ... I’m going to need you to capture both men for me. Can you do that?” She asked my father and he nodded in reply. I didn’t know what she wanted with them, but she did just fix my ears, so there was some trust there.“If I just erase her memories of them, they can still cause her significant harm by hanging around and calling for her. Eventually, it will drive her to insanity. Their bloodline is strong. Usually, the blood would have faded from her system, but theirs is too powerful. With their family's blood in her system, it has merged with her own DNA

“Shhh!” She held her finger to her lips for a few seconds while scanning around one last time. With a deep exhale she finally began to speak. “I only saw green auras, Aubrey. What other color did you see?” She asked in a whisper, while still darting her eyes around.“Blue… Why?”She gasped and threw her hands up to her mouth. With a shake of her head, she lowered her hands and replied,“No! That’s impossible. Are you absolutely certain you saw blue?”I nodded my head in reply, but she wasn’t convinced. Gripping a hold of my shoulders once more, she leaned in a little too close for comfort.“Now, Aubrey, this is extremely important. Are you sure?” She asked slowly, like all of a sudden I’d had a knock to the head and was a little on the dim side. With an exaggerated roll of my eyes, I replied,“Yes, Mom, I'm sure. Blue around their feet and legs, blending into an aqua color around their waists and finishing at a dark green around their head.”I thought I best explain exactly what I’d s

I would have taken her apology seriously if she didn’t still have that stupid smirk on her face. Oh, and not to mention her condescending tone. Who was I kidding? She was doing it all to wind me up. I didn’t know why she had something against me, but it took everything in me not to blurt out about her being a hybrid. I didn’t know what it meant, but I knew it was a secret that she wanted to keep on the down-low, because why else would she and her brothers have a cloaking spell on them? There was a reason why they were trying to conceal their true aura from Scions and I could have exploited it, but without my parents or brother here, I couldn’t risk starting a fight.I was sure that my pack would have my back, but I wasn’t sure how powerful the triplets were and if I did take them on, I couldn’t be sure that Shana would be on my side. I knew she worked closely with my father and our pack, and that she and her coven were classed as pack members, but if her loyalty lay with the other wit

I sat on the porch wearing my fluffy socks, fleece pyjamas, gloves, hat and a super soft grey blanket that I'd wrapped around me. Our beautiful winter was in full swing and Christmas was only a few days away. I had my hands around a large mug of coffee and took occasional sips as I gazed out over our immense snow-covered yard. Chase and Jesse, we're in the middle of a snowball fight with the kids and usually I would be joining right in with the festive fun, but being heavily pregnant meant lots of rest and sitting on my ass. I didn't mind though, I'd so can't the last few winters making snow angels and building snow men with the boys. So, it wasn't like I hadn't mad memories with them in their five years on this earth. We’d been through a lot, but life had been pretty perfect. Our relationship was sealed when I had the twins and even though we didn't know which kid belonged to who, Chase and Jesse didn't care and neither did I. We were a family and that's all that mattered. All the pa

The guys continued their game and every time I guessed the wrong guys touching or kissing my body, I was punished. From being whipped, slapped, and bitten, but how sexually aroused I was they didn't seem all that much like punishments. I didn't know if it was the heat or the fact that Jesse's sexual preferences had finally rubbed off on me. I was drenching the bed by this point and a knot had formed in my stomach from the insatiable need for them to ravish me. The treats I got for guessing correctly went from a kiss, to full on licking me out and even though I came a few times, I still needed more. I wanted them inside of me. My body wanted their seed. Chase was currently licking and gently hitting the inside of my thighs. My legs were shaking uncontrollably and I knew my body had gotten to the stage that it couldn't take the teasing any longer, so I begged Chase.“Please! Fuck me!” My words were released on the end of deep breaths and those were the only words I could manage to get o

I’d been visiting Chase and Jesse at the medical centre where they’d been kept for a few days. When I first saw them, I was in complete shock. They were black and blue, and their faces were so swollen that I couldn’t even tell who was who. Fast healing was one of the things I definitely appreciated about our breed and with them being Sentinels, they healed even faster. Today was the day that they were both due to come home and I’d worked my ass off all morning making the house perfect for their return. I wanted them to come home and us get straight on with the mating ritual, because my heat was in full swing, but the packs needed to see them too. So, I let them organise a party for them. Of course, I couldn’t attend because of my excessive pheromone production. They had been under sedation when I visited them, and we made sure no male doctors or staff were around during my visits. We sorted it out that they would have the party at my parent’s pack house rather than ours, so I just had

I was thrown onto the bed and I still didn't have a clue who was with me. I prayed to God that it was Chase and Jesse, and that my what was in full swing so I wouldn't go bat shit crazy on them and literally bite their heads off like a praying mantis. I couldn't understand why we couldn't catch a break. If the universe or fates or whoever wanted us three to be mated together and be strong Sentinels, then why the fuck were they ripping out lives apart now? Maybe it was a test to see if we deserved to have this life and be together? It didn't matter, I was fed-the-fuck-up of dealing with all this shit. I just wanted an easy and calm life. Was that too much to ask for?Whoever had thrown me on the bed placed his hands either side of my legs and leaned over me, sniffing my hair and my face. His warm breath on my cheek made my skin crawl, and that was when I knew it wasn't Chase or Jesse. I had to think fast before they had their way with me. I could feel my Sentinel powers tingling in my

I yanked my hands away from the guys and just managed to jump out of my chair and dive across the room as the wild men launched themselves at me. They weren't themselves any more, their feral instincts had taken over them. I'd seen it once before my cousin was at our house for dinner with her new mate and he ripped the whole dining room apart trying to get to her. I was only a young teenager and it scared the crap out of me. When I bonded with Chase and Jesse, I never thought about coming into heat, especially not this soon. Usually, it takes around six months, but I forget that the women in our family come into heat early. Although, never this soon. It's been less than twenty-four hours for Christ’s sake, I haven't been able to enjoy them as the men I love.“Mom! I'm in heat! Help!”While mind linking my mom, I sprinted toward the basement door. Every pack house has a safe room and ours has a nesting room. We had it set up the way me and Jesse wanted it, bit I wasn't expecting to use

I’d managed to fall asleep somehow. How I did with all that anxiety and embarrassment running through me, I don’t know. When I finally awoke the sun was rising in the sky. I could smell the morning dew and hear the birds chattering outside. Their songs were sweet, some what enthusiastic and it bought a smile to my face. But the smile was short lived. As soon as I remembered our naked escapades, the embarrassment took over again. I wondered if everyone had left. Well, I hoped they had. I couldn’t bare to face my family or the packs this morning. I dragged myself out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Once back in my room, I didn’t feel like getting dressed properly so just pulled on some boyfriend style panties, then tugged on a pair of black three-quarter length leggings and a gray tank top. I finished the look with an over sized gray cardigan and a messy wet bun on top of my head.I could have easily of jumped back into bed and slept the day away, but something

Chase and I kept running through the trees like giddy fawns. We couldn’t believe how lucky we'd been. Irene turning up, right when we were trying to escape seemed like fate had planned it all out for us. It felt great knowing we had a higher power on our side. Sure, I knew that if Irene and her brothers survived the Soulderians, they'd hunt down Chase. She won’t let him go that easy. I mean if she was willing to sacrifice her life by fighting the black witches, there was nothing that could stop her from getting Chase back. The triplets had been running from the Soulderians all their life, so risking her own life and her brothers meant that she did Love Chase, in her own murderous and twisted way.If it went the other way and the triplets lost, I would be next on the Soulderians list and if they managed to extract the Titagel’s powers, I doubted that we stood much chance against them. They were power-hungry and beneath Irene and her brothers, I was classed as the next most powerful bei

I didn’t sleep well at all. The stone floor made places hurt that I didn’t even know I had. But when I opened my eyes and saw my crazy bearded soul mate, my pain didn’t matter any more. All that mattered to me, was getting us out of there. I sat up and stretched. My aching bones clicked and cracked and it felt good. My noise made Chase wake up.“Morning, babe,” he said sleepily.“Morning.”I knew he'd only just opened his eyes, but I needed answers and wanted to go over some ideas on how we could escape.“How do you remember me?”“Irene cast a spell so I could remember her, but it let me remember everything.” He sat up and stretched his legs out. With his back pressed up against the wall he continued, “I had to pretend that I loved her. She was highly jealous and killed any girl that showed interest in me.”“Oh God, Chase. I am so sorry you had to go through that.”“Well, it is what it is.” He turned his body to face me and pulled his knees up and wrapped his arms around them. I faced

I could hear my heartbeat pounding in my ears, everything seemed to slow down and Shana's screams became deep and dragged out. I knew I had to do something but I had no idea what. Without even thinking about it, I ripped my hands away from my eyes and screeched into the air,“Stop!”Shana's screams ceased and all the cloaked men turned to face me. I glanced down at my hands and they had a glowing gold aura around them. Two of the men whispered to someone in a red cloak.“She's a Sentinel,” one said.“I thought they were a myth,” the other added. The red-cloaked man raised his hand to silence them, then approached me. When he reached me, he grabbed my face and turned my head from side to side, then stared into my eyes like he was looking for something.“Curious.
