Hello all! It is me again and I have a good news for you all. The second part of this book will continue as second volume in this book only. I wanted to keep it hassle free, that's why I merged both the books together. Those who don't want to continue with the second part of the book can feel free to do so. Other than that, I hope you all enjoy the updates. The story will continue with the same characters and new characters will be introduced in the story who are vital for the development. The new chapters of the second volume will be totled as Second Volume: chapter one--like this. So I hope no one will be confused as to which part is the first and which is the second volume. Please do vote with gem stones and comment to help the story reach more people.
“You are not doing it right,” Dominic said as I tried to lift my leg high enough to punch his hand.I huffed and held my hips, “I have been trying for the last forty minutes. Can I take a break?”“No,” he replied with a serious face and I pouted. It has been two weeks since we were together and things had been going really smoothly between us. I had come to accept the darkness in him and the fact that he would never leave me, no matter what. And his actions had proved me right enough. His behavior after our steamy night did not change, rather he turned more openly romantic and I loved it. Who would have guessed that this man, the strongest Alpha, could show love to someone like me: a witch?Regarding that, Dominic said that he would look into my the town’s history and see if he could find anything. But the best option was something that I did not want to do. Talk to my parents. I was born and brought into a normal household. There was no sense of magic around me.I would have felt it i
A harsh wind blew against my face as the car rode towards the pack borders. I had never seen the pack borders before because there never had been a necessity to step out of the town. Initially, I did have plans for it but after being with Dominic, I had no interest or reason to step out of the town unless he was planning to move elsewhere.“Quite the weather, don’t you think?” Dominic spoke from the side and I hummed as I stuck my head out of the window. The weather was gloomy as usual, with dark clouds hovering over the sky, cold air biting at the skin, and fog sweeping on the roads, flowing between the leafless trees. We reached the borders and once I stepped out of the car, my eyes fell on the group of men and women standing around us. From the looks of it, I could tell that they were of the Crescent Star Pack. I could feel their powerful auras and among them, one guy stood out. He had black hair that was spiked up with gel and he was chewing a piece of gum in his mouth, while his g
DOMINIC’S POVThe sky flashed with thunder as I transformed into Asphalt. Asphalt and I were both enjoying the fight with Mathew’s wolf, Mark. Mark was a good competitor, so it was always enjoyable to tackle him. All the blood spilled, the screams of the wolves who were being killed…it just made me ecstatic.Adrenaline pumped in Asphalt’s wolf as he lunged forward and attacked Mark, who was struggling like a puppy. Mathews knew he was no match for me, still, that dickhead had to challenge me every single time. I did not care to comprehend why he still tried to challenge me, knowing very well that one of the fights would lead to his death. But I was also concerned about Avery. There was no doubt Victor already knew about her and certainly was having tea in my mansion, waiting for my arrival. If Avery got there by now, he would try to sabotage her. I would have to make this quick. My thoughts were interrupted by Mark howling and his canines pierced into Asphalt’s skin. It was nothing dif
A growl tore through the air, piercing into my ears. Dominic lunged at me with his canines, but Sky came in between and pushed Dominic back. “Alpha! She is Avery! Try to recognize her.” he said while saliva dripped down his canines as he stared at me hungrily. My face turned pale when I saw black veins appearing on his body. It was like he was not in himself anymore. So this was why he was telling me to run.Dominic growled at me before he shook his head and held his taut temples with his hands. He gritted his teeth and it seemed like he was fighting himself. Shivers ran down my body as I stood behind Sky. It pained me to see him attack me like this.“I need to…sleep,” his raspy voice came, but he did not spare a look in our direction.Sky turned at me, “Leave the room. I will make sure he gets to sleep.” he said and I stared at Dominic once, who was looking down at the bed sheets. Gathering some strength in me, I slowly walked out of the room.Things would be alright. They would be f
His eyes were narrowed into slits, a look of anger on his face as if his sleep was disturbed. My heart drummed in my chest as I wondered if he was in himself or not. His behavior in the bedroom had scared me a little, but I was not going to give up so easily.I moved up from my seat and approached him with alarmed senses. His eyes followed every move of mine until I stood in front of him. “Dom? Can you recognize me?”He tilted his head, and a frown settled on his forehead. He raised his hand and caressed my head, “I do. Did I try something in the bedroom?” he asked and I exchanged a look with Sky.“Seems you don’t remember what you did. Anyways, we have bigger problems now,” Sky jerked his head at Victor who looked nonchalant about Dominic’s presence in the living room.Dominic held my hand and tugged me along with him toward the sofa. He stopped in front of Victor who was busy reading the newspaper, “It seems your hunger levels have elevated. It will be exploding in time and you will
“I was declared rogue because I had no wolf. I was born wolfless. It's a rare case that an Alpha’s son is wolfless, but it does occur once in a blue moon. My father couldn’t accept that, so he got rid of me. Victor saw an opportunity in me, so he took me in.” Dominic explained while my forehead was creased in deep lines of contemplation.I had not expected Dominic to be born wolfless.“Asphalt, as you had seen, is no normal wolf. To be precise, he is not a wolf at all,” he said and my frown deepened. He looked at me, “The day we mated, Asphalt took in a human form. Have you ever seen a wolf take a human form, except its owner?”I shook my head, “Nope. Never heard of that.”Dominic sat upright from my lap and his eyes were quick to change color. From obsidian to blood red, it glowed under the ceiling lights and black veins appeared on his face. For a second, I turned alarmed, wondering if he was going to turn feral again. But instead of attacking, he leaned closer to me, his cold breat
“Dominic’s father, that useless prick…he came back and started to lie that he wanted Dominic back. When in reality, all he wanted was to kill him.” Asphalt stated.“Kill him?! But why?”“He learned that Dominic was hosting a demonic wolf within him, which is me. He thought that as an Alpha, it was his duty to eradicate all the abominations. He started killing all the rogues and went for Dominic next.”“That is so cruel!” Anger boiled inside me at the thought of Dominic being targeted by his father, the same person who had thrown him out of the pack when he was just a kid. How could someone be so heartless as to want to kill their own son?“The whole thing affected Dominic a lot and he finally succumbed to the fact…that to survive and be at the top, he has to take lives. So we killed his father.” Asphalt spoke and something glinted in his red eyes. “His family tried to kill him too, so we had to wipe them all out.”I pursed my lips. So that was why their graves were present in the ceme
SKY’S POV We had a funeral for Aisel after he… I blinked back the tears as I stared at the garden through the window. I hadn’t expected him to go away like that. If I had known, my words would have been different. I wanted to say I loved him and missed him and I forgive him. “Sky,” I smelled hot chocolate and turned behind to find my white chocolate holding a cup in her hand. She extended the cup towards me, the hot fumes touching my soaked cheeks. “Thanks lovely.” I said and took a sip from the cup. It tasted heavenly. Jannet was amazing at making hot chocolate and I was a fan of hot chocolate now. She took a seat beside me and rubbed my shoulder, “Wanna talk about it?” She had given me some space after dad passed away and told me she was here to talk if I wanted to. I couldn’t ask for a more understanding mate. It was her maturity which influenced me to a great extent and Silver had told me how he I was slowly changing into a more responsible man. Was I? I didn’t know. But I wa
JANNET’S POVDuring the wedding celebrations, I felt Sky’s constant gaze on me. I slowly looked at him and was met with his blue eyes eye-fucking me. If his gaze could burn clothes, I would have been naked by now.Avery danced with the Alpha and Sky walked towards me. He looked hot in a black blazer over his black turtle-neck top. He leaned down and whispered, “I should have paid the priest to get us married here too.”I blushed and tugged the ends of his blazer to straighten it. His face hardened a little, “I will be waiting for you outside the gates once the party is over.”“Okay.” I was excited to meet him. After Avery finished her dance with the Alpha, one of the warriors played Shape of You and a lot of them joined the dance floor, showing off their moves.Avery ran over to me and pulled me in a hug. She had freed her legs from the heels and was bare feet. “Goddess, they hurt.” She said and I wrapped an arm around her shoulder, watching everyone dance to the beats.“You wanna dan

AVERY’S POV I couldn’t move, I was too tired. Before my eyes closed, the last I remembered was the doctors pulling out the baby. I wanted to smile and get a look, but my vision was blurry. When I fluttered my eyes open, I was resting on a hospital bed. In the corner of the room, I saw Dominic leaning against the wall. His eyes looked puffy and red as if he had cried before this. What happened? “The baby!” I sat up and an excruciating pain shot through my back. Dominic came to my side and made me lean back on the bed. I looked at him, “Dom…the baby…” “Hush, calm down. You just woke up. Take some rest.” his eyes held no expression, they were blank. Why was he behaving like this? His behavior scared me. There was a certain emptiness in my heart that I couldn’t comprehend. “Dom. Where is the baby?” I asked, the impatience clear in my voice. I just wanted to see my child. Was that too much to ask? Dominic did not respond and turned his back on me. He approached a crib on the other
DOMINIC’S POVAvery slowly sat on my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck. She looked nervous.“And smells different.” Asphalt added.I frowned and pulled her closer to me, sniffing her neck. She had a soft tint of rose on her cheeks while I sniffed her. She indeed smelt different. It was not a perfume, it was her natural scent mixed with something…strange.“Dom, what are you doing?” she asked, the nervousness not lifting from her face. I could hear her heartbeat pacing, feeling her stress crawl through my skin. As mates, we could feel each other’s emotions. But why was she so nervous?“Did any of those bitches stir any problem in the coven?” I asked, my face hardened. Avery ran her own coven with thousands of witches under it. Some of them were not very trustworthy, so I always stayed alert. She shook her head and my frown deepened. Then what was the problem?Sean walked in and bowed his head, “Luna, two wolves have initiated a brawl in the fighting grounds and it is hard to stop
DOMINIC’S POV “Stay calm, Alpha. Repeat with me. Breathe in, breathe out.” Sky’s annoying voice buzzed in my ears like those mosquitoes you want to squash with your hands. I wanted to do the same. But he wouldn’t die and whine later like the child he was. I shot him a deadly glare and he retreated, knowing well my anger was at its limit. It had been fucking four hours since I saw her. When I woke up in the morning, I expected her to be beside me, lying naked, but she wasn’t. That’s when I learned she was stolen by her best friend for the wedding. I didn’t understand the hype of wasting so much time on make-up and shit. I would have married her if she walked down the aisle in her pink pajamas. She was beautiful to me, no matter what the circumstance. “I would have liked her to wear no clothes,” Asphalt chuckled and a sinful smirk lifted the corner of my lips. No clothes were better. But it was reserved for us. “Right. How long?” he growled and I looked at my Rolex. “How long, Sky
I breathed a sigh of concern and stared at my eyebags reflecting in the mirror. I was so excited for this day, and Dominic wasn’t feeling sleepy either. So…we kind of spent the night making love to each other. I only got two hours of sleep after that.Jannet was standing right behind, her hands on her hips, disappointment clear on her face, “Which part of a beauty sleep consisted of having sex with your man last night?”I gave her a sheepish smile, “It's good excercise. I slept like a log after that. You should try it too.” I got a smack on my arm in response from her. There was a knock at the door. Jannet answered it and didn’t let me see who it was. I didn’t need to. I could feel them outside the door.“With due respect, Alpha Dark. We agreed on you not seeing her before the wedding,” she said, her voice a little shaky.“Fuck the agreement. I can’t wait this long,” he said and a grin shaped my lips. It was fun to torture him, though I missed him too. I might get punished later for i
AVERY’S POV It all made sense now. Asphalt and I were bound together. But the strange thing was, it was because of my past self’s love for him. In this life, I was scared of both of them and they chased me but in the past, I was the one chasing after them. Aisel was right. There were certain things we would never understand. I smiled at Asphalt who look concerned after he saw my eyes turn white. “What happened to you?” “Nothing. Just saw our past,” I said and pulled him in a deep kiss. If I ever met the Moon Goddess again, I would thank her for giving me this blessing. There were a lot of hardships, but we crossed them together. The past was not necessary, it was the present that mattered more. So I opted to not speak about it to them. Asphalt broke the kiss and whispered, “Time to punish you.” I blinked in confusion and he pulled me up in his arms. He took me to our bedroom and placed me on the bed. I kissed him passionately, our tongues clashing inside for dominance un
AVERY’S POVI sat with Dominic on the portico, overlooking the training of the pack members. He had his arm wrapped around my waist while I rested my head on his shoulder. It felt good to have everything go back to normal. After I pulled the soul of the witches out of Castiel, his body couldn’t take the toll and he died. His soul was consumed by Asphalt and we buried his body in that forest. Dominic took responsibility of the town after some of it was ruined. It took a month to get everything restored, but with my powers, the town was able to breathe again. There were no dark clouds on the sky and sunlight shone over us, welcoming us with its warmth. Since my body was revived from death, Dominic and Asphalt had me staying extremely close to them. If I walked into the bathroom for a minute, they would get worried.I chuckled at the thought. They were getting overprotective, but I didn’t mind it. I loved every second of their presence and wouldn’t ask for anything less. But there was so
