Chapter Thirty-Three

Nikolas shut his laptop and strode out of the conference room.  The ordeal was over and he was now free to go home to Brooklyn. After the threat that still loomed before them, Nikolas had called a meeting with his Administrative Staff to step up the security system around the estate. He had received a call from officer Warner that they had arrested three more of Freddie’s men who were trying to break into his Willamette Valley house. He was at his wit’s end. Did Freddie seriously feel that the money that Benjamin Davis hid was at his house? He called Shelburne to increase the security there as well.
