The Grandfather's wish

Pordenone, Italy.

The sound of coughing in a spacious, luxurious room was intense. It was accompanied by the warning voice of a family doctor who had often dealt with the grandfather's illness.

"Great sir, it's time for you to rest or perhaps to hold a great-grandchild," the handsome middle-aged doctor with his firm jawline said with a charming smile.

"You're right; maybe when Sevariano comes back here, I'll force him to get married to give me a great-grandson," said the white-haired old man with a wrinkled face half-lying on the king-size bed.

"I'm sorry, I'm not interfering in the Del Vecchio family's affairs, but perhaps it would be better for the young master to return to Milan and assist you," the doctor interrupted.

The older man just nodded in understanding. There was a twinge of guilt as he kicked out his grandson and blocked Sevariano's facilities. Eventually, though, after two years, he opened one of his grandson's cards.
