Lillian's POV

I froze when I heard Amari's question.

I felt my hands getting cold and the pressure to answer her question suffocates me.

"Amari go to your room please," I said but she remained standing in front of me waiting for an answer.

"Amari please," I pleaded.

Before she could even run to her room the guards that Alexander's mother brought pushed me aside and carried my Amari.

"No please don't!" I tried stopping them from taking Amari but they kicked me and pushed me on the floor.

I turned my head at Mrs. Montgomery. "Please Ma'am don't take my daughter away," I pleaded but she flashed an evil smile.

"Your family took my son and it's only right to take your daughter. I don't care if she's Alexander's daughter or not, I will take Amari with me. She will be the payment for killing my son!"
