Chapter 123 Talk (I)

That day, Julian Sterling was unaware that his mother had disrupted his plans, thinking his parents had gone to Turkey with a delegation. Having arranged for people to be around Lily and her parents, he felt at ease and drove to sanatorium outside of town to visit his grandfather, Edward Sterling, who was resting there — the grandfather who adored him the most.

Halfway there, a heavy snow began to fall, slowing down the traffic. As he approached the toll station, there was a bit of a jam. Julian's brow furrowed slightly as he turned off the engine and gazed out at the snowy landscape, lost in thought. His eyes were as deep and unfathomable as the ocean. It wasn't until the honking of a car behind him that he slowly moved forward. Feeling a bit stuffy in the car, he turned on the radio, and the DJ's magnetic voice floated out:
