“It could be a coincidence, Martini.” I insist. A part of me wants to believe that it’ll never be Achilles because I knew him, and I believe he’s still the same person I met.

“You’re unbelievable Jada, but fine I’ll give you time to prove to me that it wasn’t him.” He replied, I shifted my gaze back to my pastries.

“Go to the auction.” He added before he turns his back and walk away. I heard Amari’s excited voice greet his father but my mind is flying somewhere.

And if it’s him, what would I do? Eight months had already passed, and there are a lot of things that could change within that span.
