The moment I fell into the water, I manage to swim deeper and hold my breath despite the pain stinging on my shoulder as they kept on releasing shots through in the water. Before I could run away from the showers of bullets, another slug dig my thigh, making me ache in torment.
I was running out of air and having a hard time extending my arm and thigh injured so I quickly decided to swim to the shallow yet hidden part of the cave beneath the falls, a bit distant from the cliff where I jump off. I closed my eyes in agony as the tormenting pain fill my sanity, I can hear my heartbeats and my fast breathing. As I glance at my thigh, it looks sore and slowly getting numb, yet the affliction remains.
I was losing much blood, my vision slowly blurs until everything went black.

Opening my eyes when a nightmare made me awake. As the bullets of sweats ran across my forehead. Damn it I tho
Two weeks had passed and we stayed in Mr.Kiko’s hut. We’ve decided to stay here for our safety, the island isn't safe for us if we’ll go back to the penthouse. Mr.Kiko’s place is hidden in the middle of the forest and it’ll be hard for them to find us here.I tried my best to remain cold to Achilles, he kept on apologizing but I didn’t budge. I wasn’t that kind of woman who’ll quickly melt just because of his looks, apologies aren’t enough without actions, that’s what matters most. Not because I like him, he’ll be exempted on my principles as a woman. Besides, I realized that liking him is the last thing I should do right now and focus on my battle instead.“Jada are you ready?” Mr. Kiko asked.I glanced at my right leg, it was healed already but there are times that an excruciating pain hunts me. Mr.Kiko s
“Achilles, the C. Organization!” I exclaimed. But he just shook his head.“Those were my men Jada, don’t worry. I have asked for some assistance as we will go back to Manila tomorrow.”“What? Is it safe to be back to the city now?” I asked as he helps me get up and guide me to the door to see his men.“We can’t stay here for long Jada.”I didn’t respond and put my gaze instead on these men wearing black suits and fully armored.“Was everything settled Maurus?” Achilles asked the man in front.“Yes, Mr.Coleman.”***The sun starts to rise but my eyes were fixed on the set of waves that the yachts create as we pass through it.They decided to leave the island as early as four in th
The bouquet slowly fell from my hands, as I tremble in fear. How on earth he was able to send this inside the Coleman Empire? The adrenaline quickly rushes in through my spine as I ran out of the building. Droplets of sweat anxiously fell from my forehead. The only thing in my mind is to get out of this place. I can’t afford to lose another life and dragged these innocent people to my mess.My feet took me to a place where me, Kendra and Trinity used to spend time together. As soon as I step my feet on the rooftop, memories of peals of laughter suddenly flashback. And from that moment, I fell onto my knees and shed tears silently under the light of the moon without anyone seeing breaking into pieces. I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m so weak. Can I fight against a notorious mafia leader?I’m so ridiculous to think that I can kill him when I can’t even pull myself together. Not knowing
Like what Achilles said, I undergo extreme training, and when I meant extreme, the farthermost and hardest priming it is.“Extend your arms out in front of you and prepare to aim in on your target with your dominant eye. Your arms should be extended but not locked. Keep a very slight bend in your elbows with your shoulders still square to the target. To do not blade your body sideways.”I gulped as he say all those words right next to my ears that fully sent shivers to my system. How will I be able to focus if he’s too near to me?It’s my second day of training after the whole day of self-defense training yesterday. To be honest, I can still feel the throbbing pain from the different parts of my body, not to add up my injured shoulder and legs. Achilles was so ruthless, but he told me that it’s for my own sake, and we’re running out of time to prepare.
My heart was beating so fast as I entered the elevator up to the fiftieth floor. What am I gonna tell if he asks why I am here?I shouldn’t have gone here, f*ck this. Liking someone is so much harder than I thought. The moment that the elevator opened tripled my anxiousness. No, Jada, you have to stand on your impulsive decisions. Despite the doubts, I chinned up and walk proudly towards the only room on the floor.I opened the door only to be greeted by a man sitting prettily on the couch. Damn this psycho, I thought I left him in the training ground. I didn't notice that he was able to get here first.“I thought you're a fast driver than me.” He uttered flashing his annoying grin.“What are you doing here Caleb?” I asked, with eyes piercing towards him.“I should be the one asking you th
Shuddering at their tight grip on my arms, “Let me go,” I menaced as I gave them my deadly glares.“Tomorrow is the day Jada, you should be resting now.” Achilles suddenly uttered. It took me a couple of seconds to understand what he meant by that. The transaction. F*ck it, how could that slip out of my mind.“Right, I’ll be going now Martini. Thanks for today. By the way, here’s the key.” I gently throw him the Bugatti’s key which he quickly catches, and turn away straight to Achilles’ car. After a couple of seconds, I felt his presence on the driver’s seat.He started the engine without a word.“Aren’t you gonna ask why I am giving him the Bugatti’s key?” I break the silence to kill the awkwardness building between us.“It’s your car,
“You don’t know what you’re talking about Jada.”Oh, so he’s gonna lie to me huh?“I saw you two Achilles, there’s nothing to hide. Spill it out, are you two dating?” I bravely asked. I witness how his chest waved heavily like he was in big trouble.“You don’t understand it, Jada. Let’s go home.”“No! Tell me why you chose to have dinner with her instead of me?!” I exclaimed, and before I could take back what I’d said. Silence fills us. Damn it, what did I say?“Seems like you’re the one who sounds jealous here.” His baritone voice breaks the silence before he turns his back. What an assh*le.“I’m not jealous! You freak!”“Hey! We’re not yet done talking Achilles!” I growled. If s
Waking up at the white ceiling, my eyes slowly dragged to the woman sitting beside me.“J-Jada you’re awake!” She screamed and my eyes slowly widened when she hugs me.“T-Trinity f*ck off.” I scowled as the pain triggers me.“Oh, I’m sorry.”“Are you feeling well? Do you want me to call a doctor?” She asked hysterically.I frowned and shook my head.“I’m fine. What happened?” I managed to ask even though I was having a hard time speaking.“What you can’t remember anything?”I closed my eyes, trying to remember everything, the images of two men in suits and wearing a mask escaping flashed back. Then the bullet unexpectedly get into my body, which was probably coming from them.“I r
