“What?” Anna exclaimed. “That's a big lie. I did no such thing.”

I ignored her and kept my eyes on the kitchen maid. “I'll ask you again, who ordered you to poison my wife?”

“I already told you, it was Princess Anna. I was forced to do it because of my mother's hospital bill. Please forgive me.”

My eyes closed in anger and I turned to face Anna before opening them. “Are you still going to deny it? She just admitted it to your face.”

“I swear I didn't do it. I've never even spoken to that maid before, you have to believe me.” She grabbed Esteban's arm. “Please tell them I didn't do it.”

“Dad, I don't know what she's talking about, all I know is Anna wouldn't go as far as try to kill someone,” Esteban inputted.

“Will you two shut up?” I yelled, making both of them keep quiet. “There is evidence right in front of you but still choose to deny it.”

“That's because I didn't do it.”

Dad stepped forward and whispered to me. “We can't make decisions based on the words of a mai
