I reached the forest and sniffed, Brock had definitely passed here. The forest was dark now and the trees looked formidable in their silhouettes. I walked between the trees and raised my face to pick up his scent, feets away.

I trudged ahead until I saw him, sitting on a stone ledge, staring ahead. The wind whipped his dark hair and he tossed his head back. The move was so sensual I nearly moaned.

“What do you want?” He said and I jumped. Werewolves and their super abilities. His was specially unique.

“I want to talk” I said and watched a rabbit ran up to him and cuddled his leg. Brock rubbed the animal lovingly making me feel jealous. So he treated an animal more than he did to me.

“Brock?”

“I don’t want to talk to you” he snapped and I moved closer. He tensed as I approached. “Stay away from me” he added.

“Stay away? I won’t. You can’t make me.” I insisted and he growled. The rabbit beside him took off sensing hi

We sat in the war room examining the map Logan had laid out. We had reportedly caught a rogue wolf spy and it mean one thing. Vincent was still after us. Logan sat at the head of the table as the alpha, there was an empty chair beside him where Brock should sit but instead he was leaning on the wall on the far corner of the room. “We can attack them” someone suggested and Logan shook his head. “We can’t do that Morris, it’s not our style” Logan said, Morris scowled. “Stop being weak Logan” he said and everyone gasped, no one called the alpha weak. Logan stare was unreadable. “You’ve got guts” a cold deep voice said and everyone turned. Brock. He walked to Morris and told before him. Morris was tall but Brock was no at his level in terms of height and build. Morris stared back defiantly and I wondered if he had a death wish. “We need a strong alpha not some weakling” Morris growled and Broc

I cleaned my face with a bandanna as I twirled my fingers around my sword hilt watching Brock who was circling me. It was day five on my training and Brock was as ruthless as ever. Brock let out a fierce cry and bore down on me, I avoided the first blow only to be struck in the ass by the flat of his sword. “Seriously?” I said but he didn’t smile, if any he scowled. “You are fucking slow” he said. It was my turn to scowl. “I hate you” I said rolling my eyes and he nodded. “Good” he rasped and pointed his sword at my throat, “Now fight” he said and I growled. My wolf was getting impatient and angry. I let out a roar and attacked swinging my sword for his head then swiftly went for his legs. Surprise filled his eyes for a moment then he blocked the blow but I smirked when he fell for the trap. I pulled my arm back then launched a powerful punch into his face. His head snapped to the side from the impact and I went still f

“Why so glum Amy” Gwen called as she entered the room. I turned to stare at her offering her a small smile. “It’s nothing Gwen, it’s just mood swings” I said and she frowned her eyes studied me. “Are you pregnant” she asked seriously and I stared at her open mouthed. “Gwen” I screeched and she grinned and played with my blond hair. “Jeez Gwen I am not pregnant. Damn you.” She grinned at me and tugged on my arm leading me to the balcony. “Logan is organizing a remembrance party today. You are expected, no excuses” she said and I raised a brow. “How come you know this things before I do?” I asked and she grinned, her face lit up in the morning glow. “It’s my specialty” she winked at me. “Gossip” she added and I laughed and cuffed her in the head. “Of course. Gossip and Sex” I muttered and she nodded and smacked my ass in return. I glared at her but she waved me off. “What o

I grinned as Gwen showed me a dance move. Earlier, she had commented on how I sucked at dancing, not that I really cared but the way she put really made it sound bad. She smiled when she finished and did a mock-bow. “This is how we humans dance” she commented dryly and I frowned. “I don’t dance like a human?” I asked and she nodded and chugged down a bottle of water. “Come on, Amy. Are you asking me that? You dance like a frog” she said grinning wickedly and I pouted. “Did you have to point that out” I said and she shrugged. We walked out of the empty hall and went out to the open fields. The splendor of this place still amazes me, beside me Gwen yawned and stretched. “I am gonna crash. Teaching you is so exhausting” she said and I raised a brow. “More than exhausting than sex?” I asked biting my lip not to smile. She grinned and pinched my nose. “Yep.” She said and she waved as she walked away. I walked

I opened my eyes to find Brock’s side of the bed empty and I sighed. Not again! Did he regret already? I sighed and slid out of the covers putting on my underwear. I stared at the huge library of books on the wall and smiled. So Brock read books, how cute, a book caught my attention and I saw that I was an old journal written by Brock. “You know, you shouldn’t snoop” said Brock voice behind me and I whirled around, his journal fell from my hands and he smiled. “If you want to read that all you have to do his ask” he said and I gave a nervous laugh. “Umm…..no”’ “No?” Brock asked and I sighed. “Fine yeah. I want to see what a person like you writes in a journal” I said and Brock chuckled. “A person like me? A monster huh?” He said and I grabbed his hands and put them on my chest. “I’ll never think of you as a monster Brock I that’s what I thought I won’t be here” I said and Brock shook his head. “What d

I plopped on the grass sweating profusely, the sword in my hand felt like cement, my legs quivered and I glared at Brock for the fifteenth time this morning. “Why can’t you be nice? You are so mean” I said and his green eyes twinkled evily like he had wicked plans for me. “I know you Amelia, if I get soft on you. I’ll be in your bed instead of whooping your ass in training” he said seriously and I blushed. Ever since I had successfully seduced him, he had been secretly been teasing me about it, calling me a vixen. “It’s takes to two to do it. You were a willing participant” I said and he nodded, his eyes darkened a bit and I sighed; here it comes. “I’ll really don’t want to hurt Logan, he loves you” he said and I sighed. I was getting tired of this honestly. If it wasn’t for him, I would have told Logan since. “I don’t love Logan. I care for him and respect him, but…….” I took his hands and he watched me with his gr

The sun beat down mercilessly, turning the training grounds into a furnace. Sweat plastered my hair to my forehead, stinging my eyes. My muscles screamed in protest with each swing of the wooden sword, but I pushed myself harder. Every clang against the practice dummy was a silent scream, a release of the frustration simmering beneath my skin.Brock, my infuriatingly handsome tormentor, parried my blows with practiced ease. His green eyes, usually sparkling with mischief, held a hint of seriousness today. Every so often, his gaze would flicker towards the entrance of the training grounds, sending a jolt through me."Enough for now, Amelia," he finally said, disarming me with a swift flick of his wrist. "You're going to tire yourself out before tonight."My breath hitched. "Tonight?"A slow smirk spread across his face. "Didn't Gwen tell you? Logan's throwing a little get-together to welcome the new arrival."My grip tightened on the hilt of the practice sword. "New arrival?""Yeah," B

The morning sun glinted off Brock's sweat as he sparred with Sage. I watched from the sidelines, my heart doing a nervous flamenco routine in my chest. Sage, all toned arms and confident steps (for a supposed newbie), danced around him, dodging his practice sword with surprising grace. But it was the way her body brushed against his every now and then that made me want to grab a sword and yell, "Hey, personal space much?"Then, disaster struck. Sage stumbled back, landing right in Brock's arms. For a second, they were locked in a hug that seemed way too friendly for a training session. My breath hitched. Sage giggled, a sound that sent shivers down my spine, and stepped away, shooting me a look that could have melted steel."Whoa there, drama queen," Brock chuckled, finally noticing me. "Looks like you tripped over your own two feet."Ignoring him, I marched over, my voice clipped. "This isn't a flirting session, Sage. Need I remind you we're training?"Sage's smile faltered for a sec

I woke up with a start, my head throbbing and my vision blurry. The pain in my skull was sharp, but the overwhelming sense of dread was sharper. I struggled to sit up, my hands and feet bound tightly, and tried to make sense of my surroundings. Dim light filtered through cracked windows, casting shadows on the walls of what looked like an old, abandoned warehouse.Just then, I heard a familiar voice in my head. Brock.“Amelia, where are you?”Relief and panic mingled in my chest. I focused on our bond, trying to project my thoughts clearly. “I don’t know the exact location. It’s a warehouse. It’s old and looks abandoned.”There was a brief pause before Brock’s voice came through again, calm but laced with urgency. “There are hundreds of warehouses around here, Amelia. But I can track your scent. Hold on. Logan and I are coming to get you.”The telepathic link went quiet, and I was left with my racing thoughts and the oppressive silence of the warehouse. As the minutes ticked by, the pain in my head began to subside, replaced by a growing sense of stubbornness . I wasn’t going to let Vincent intimidate me. Reagan’s life depended on me staying strong and thinking clearly. I could hear the faint hum of the city outside, a reminder that we weren’t completely isolated, even though it felt that way.Vincent reappeared, striding into the room with an air of confidence that made my skin crawl. He looked down at me with a cold smile. “Ready to talk, Amelia?”I met his gaze with as much defiance as I could muster. “I told you, I’m not giving you any information.”He chuckled, shaking his head. “You’re brave, I’ll give you that. But let’s not play games. Who did you come with?”I swallowed hard, hoping he couldn’t see through my lie. “I came alone, just like you told me to.”Vincent’s smile widened, but there was no warmth in it. “Is that so? Alone, all the way from your little village?”I nodded, trying to keep my expression neutral. “Yes.”He

We decided to leave for New York that night. The urgency of Reagan’s situation weighed heavily on me, and the fear of what could happen if we didn’t act fast was like a constant, gnawing presence in the back of my mind. Logan, Brock, and I piled into a black SUV, the kind that would blend in anywhere without drawing too much attention.Logan glanced at me from the driver’s seat. “You sure you’re up for this, Amelia? Going in alone is dangerous.”I nodded, trying to muster as much confidence as I could. “I don’t have a choice. If they see you two, they might kill Reagan on the spot.”Brock, sitting next to me, reached over and squeezed my hand. “We’ll be close by, ready to jump in if anything goes wrong. Just get Reagan out safely. That’s the priority.”“I know,” I said, giving him a small, grateful smile. “Thanks, both of you.”The drive to New York was tense and quiet. We went over the plan a few more times, making sure we were ready for anything. Logan and Brock would stay nearby, h

The sky was darkening, and the air was thick with tension. We could sense them before we saw them, the rogues moving in like a dark wave, ready to crash against our defenses. Brock stood beside me, his grip on my hand a reassuring constant. “They’re coming,” Logan’s voice was low but steady as he addressed the pack. “Everyone, to your positions.” We scattered, each of us moving to where we’d been assigned. Brock and I took up a position near the main gate, where we knew the fighting would be fiercest. My heart pounded in my chest, but I felt a strange calm wash over me. This was it. We were ready. The first rogue hit the gate with a deafening crash. The force of it reverberated through the ground, but our defenses held—at least for the moment. More followed, their growls and snarls filling the air. “Hold the line!” Brock shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos. We fought with everything we had. The night was a blur of fur, claws, and blood. Despite our preparations, the rogu

The news hit us like a ton of bricks. Vincent's attack was imminent. The war room was a hive of activity. Maps were spread out, strategies were being debated, and faces were etched with worry."We have to be ready for anything," Logan said, his voice low and determined. "They could come from anywhere."Brock nodded, his eyes scanning the map. "We need to strengthen our defenses everywhere, not just the south."I felt a lump in my throat. This was it. The moment we'd been dreading. "We can't let them win," I said, my voice barely a whisper.Logan looked at me, his eyes filled with concern. "We won't, Amelia. We won't."Days turned into nights as we prepared for the inevitable. We trained, we planned, and we waited. The tension was palpable. Even the usually cheerful faces in the village looked grim.Brock insisted on ramping up my training. He argued that I needed to be able to defend myself, not just rely on others. I groaned and complained, but deep down, I knew he was right. Our t

My head was pounding. Everything felt like a nightmare. Vincent, that crazy guy, wanted me. Bad. Brock and Logan were trying to figure out what to do, their faces all serious. It was like we were in a movie, except without the popcorn. Logan was the first to speak. "We need a plan," he said, his voice low and serious. "Vincent won't stop until he gets what he wants." Brock, my knight in shining armor, jumped in. "Amelia needs to be safe. I'm her bodyguard, 24/7." My heart melted a little. He looked at me with those intense eyes of his, and I felt safe for a second.Logan nodded. “Agreed. We double the patrols. No one gets in or out without being checked. I’ll station more werewolf soldiers at the borders. We need eyes everywhere.”Brock’s gaze never left mine. “I’ll be her personal guard. Wherever she goes, I go.”I couldn’t help the swell of affection I felt for him. “Thank you, Brock. I feel safer already.”Logan’s expression softened slightly. “It’s settled then. Brock, you’ll be

The morning after was like waking up in a bad dream. My body ached like a kicked puppy, and my head felt like it was stuffed with cotton. I tried to ignore the growing bruise on my shoulder, but it kept reminding me of the rogue rumble.Brock was nowhere to be found, probably nursing his own battle wounds. But I wasn't exactly feeling up for a pity party. Instead, I focused on the rogues we'd captured. We'd tied them up good, but they were still a bunch of grumpy, smelly wolves."Hey, furballs," I greeted them, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "How's the view from the ground?"They just glared at me, their eyes full of rage. Great, a captive audience with a serious attitude problem.Logan strolled in, looking like he'd just stepped out of a photoshoot. "Morning, champ," he said, a grin spreading across his face. "You look like you could use a nap."I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for the pep talk, Cap. Any idea what to do with these grumpy guests?"He shrugged. "No clue. Maybe we should ask

Creeping through the bushes felt like I was starring in a bad spy movie. Guilt gnawed at me worse than a hangry wolf. Here I was, playing secret agent on my own packmate, all because I chickened out on telling Logan about his little romance with Sage.Peeking through the leaves, I watched Sage lead Brock deeper into the woods. Talk about awkward. This wasn't exactly how I pictured breaking the news.Suddenly, Sage leaned in and planted a kiss on Brock. My jaw practically hit the forest floor. Before I could even process that, my traitorous fingers fumbled for my phone, snapping a pic faster than a squirrel on Red Bull. Hey, evidence is key, right?A tangled mess of emotions wrestled inside me – anger, hurt, and a weird flicker of… relief? Like, major relief that Brock wasn't a lying cheater. But the image of him smooching Sage, the raw emotion on her face, left a sour taste in my mouth. They pulled away, foreheads touching, whispering like teenagers on a first date. I strained to hear
