CHARLES

To my great relief, Bianca leaves my house the morning of the next day after I threaten her. I wasn’t kidding with the threat though. I know that I haven’t heard the last of her though, but at least, for now, I will have some rest.

On my day off, I fly over to see Sebastian at his house. We heartily exchange pleasantries, and I play with his son, who is almost one for a while. His wife Carol, is around, as are her dad and my stepmother, who are seeing each other and are even almost at the stage where they’ll get married.

Unfortunately, Thomas’s estranged wife, Belinda is making a nuisance of herself and making the whole thing difficult for them. Still, they love each other, and their love waxes strong by the day. Dinner that night is a boisterous and lively affair.

After dinner, Sebastian and I go to the garden, where we talk about everything and nothing, from business to sports and other trivial things. Finally, he asks about my private life.
