Chapter 29: Punishment

It took us both a while to find what we needed. A saleslady there even helped because we couldn't really find the brand of mayonnaise that Edith was buying. It was at the top so we didn't notice.

I fell on the bed when I got home. We even had a late lunch at an eatery, where I also washed my legs.

We were interrupted on the way because we met two children, one of whom was bleeding from the head. The only doctor at the island's hospital said it was just a small cut, but because I panicked, we took him to the emergency room. We waited for the parents and settled the bill before leaving.

"There will be dinner..." Edmund reminded.

He just came out of the bathroom, already showered.

"I'll set the tub on warm water, do you want?" he asked while combing his hair.

"Yes please..."

He returned to the bathroom and prepared my bath. I almost fell asleep there if Edmund hadn't knocked to say that dinner was ready, I wouldn't have moved to take a shower.
