Andrew stepped off the plane, his expression as cold and unyielding as the steel-gray suit he wore. The Mexican heat was oppressive, but it did nothing to melt the ice in his veins.

He was a man driven by one purpose: to discover the truth about his wife's disappearance, no matter the cost.

“Are you sure you want to do it?” Sebastian made an effort to stop him. Still, Andrew was fixed on getting his answer.

Why stab him in the back just to come back and help him? He had to know.

They both got into the car and the driver navigated the winding streets of the small town with military precision, his destination a run-down villa on the outskirts.

The villa was surrounded by an air of decay, the walls crumbling and the garden overgrown. It matched the desolation he felt inside.
