A sickening whoosh made my head spin, and the sudden loss of gravity beneath my feet nearly made me scream.

And then, silence.

My feet slammed into the ground, and we were engulfed in darkness. We stood just outside the borders of Wrath, the trees above us swaying slightly. In the distance, Sam’s Gothic castle loomed, its spires reaching towards the sky. It was night, and no moon or stars were visible. It was pitch-black.

The air was thick with the scent of blood.

When I looked to the side, I saw the ground around us littered with bodies.

Dante immediately vomited into the bushes behind him at the sight. Even Reggie stepped back, his eyes wide with terror. After Dante finished emptying his stomach, he turned to us with a greenish pallor on his face.

We all stayed silent.

Sam's cold hand snaked around the back of my neck. His skin felt icier than usual, a sign that he was barely in control of himself.

"Time to go home." Sam directed the boys. "What?" Reggie instantly replied, disbelief

Another knock at the door made Sam throw a pillow at it."Sort it yourself, Burta!" Sam shouted from beside me.I grinned. This was the fifth time Burta had come round. "You've given him one week to sort a wedding for a King. Give him a break." I said, my voice muffled by the pillow. Finally, I lifted my head. "I'll be right there!" I called out to Burta.I swear I could hear a relieved sigh from the other side of the door."She won't be!" Sam yelled as his hand traced along my back. He pushed my head back down into the pillow with his other hand while his teeth grazed my shoulder. A soft grin escaped me, but I gently pushed Sam away, wincing as I felt the soreness in my body.Blood stained the sheets. My body was utterly used and broken, but in a delicious way. Teeth marks scattered along my skin, handprints decorated my hips, waist and neck, and every muscle trembled from the thorough exertion."Burta can handle it, wildflower. Stay in bed with me." Sam said in that entrancing voice

  • Captured by Satan   Chapter 169: Are you ready?

My heart ached to see Sam. Since we left our bedroom, we hadn’t crossed paths once. The entire week had been a whirlwind of decisions—tasting drinks and food, listening to music, picking colors, deciding on guests, drinking too much alcohol to calm my nerves, and talking non-stop with Nija.Sam had been just as busy. Occasionally, I’d spot his neat handwriting on decision notes, and it made me smile."It all just seems so..." Dante said from the treetop above me. "Extravagant," Reggie finished, sitting on the other side of the trunk. The three of us looked down at the demons running around, preparing everything for the wedding. "I always thought you'd be the one to elope in Vegas and tell us afterward," Dante said, his feet swaying near my head. "I always thought we’d end up together," Reggie chimed in, giving me a pointed look. I finally glanced at him. "In your dreams," I joked. Reggie shrugged, as if he really was dreaming about it."You and Satan... it somehow fits. I could never

We took one step into the maze, and the music stopped playing abruptly. The crowd fell silent at once.We moved through the maze in quiet anticipation until we rounded the first corner. Then, the violinist began playing again—a slow, sensual tune that wrapped around my thoughts like a wicked dance. The strings vibrated in my heart, and I knew my friends behind me were just as entranced as I was. When we reached the open field, I stopped dead in my tracks.Sam stood beneath the willow tree, his back to me.That was all I saw. The enormous crowd, the wildflowers, the fire, the snow—it all faded from my mind as soon as my eyes found him. My husband-to-be, his tense back clad in a black suit, seemed to ripple as if he felt my presence. My black veil made it a little harder to see.The violin's tune shifted, signalling that it was time for me to walk forward. The crowd turned to face me, their eyes finding me. Gasps, murmurs, and praises filled the air, and Sam tensed even more.I grasped

  • Captured by Satan   Chapter 171: Bet

"Can you remember your first day here?" Sam asked, his hand resting on my knee, a glass of red wine in his other hand. "How could I forget?" I replied, my eyes on the brutal fight unfolding before us. Two demons, both bleeding and snarling, seemed determined to kill each other. The match was close, and the crowd around them screamed and applauded in wild excitement. It was deep into the night, but the moonlight, along with the little lights scattered throughout the garden and around the willow tree, provided enough illumination to see everything. My head buzzed with a mix of alcohol and happiness. "Remember our bet?" Sam asked, giving me a sideways glance. Of course I remembered. If I won, he’d never drink my blood again. If he won, he’d drink my blood that very night—something that ended up happening after I almost lost my life during the hunt. "You mean the one where you cheated?" I asked, tearing my eyes away from the bloody spectacle to meet his gaze."A win is a win," he repl

My hope of winning plummeted when my fighter's face twisted in pain. He clutched his bleeding stomach and yanked out the sword in a swift, clean motion. "Hey," Lucifer whispered suddenly from behind us. "I'm in on the bet." Sam's fighter smirked at my fighter. The distraction cost him dearly. The third fighter abruptly wrapped his rope around Sam's fighter's neck, yanking on both ends to choke him. "That's my fighter," Lucifer murmured with an excited tone, like a toddler about to receive his favorite toy. "What are you betting for?" I asked, keeping my eyes on Sam's fighter who was struggling to breathe. Sam clenched his jaw, his furious eyes locked on his demon. A strangled breath escaped Sam's fighter as he clawed at the rope. "NO!" Sam shouted, slamming his fist on the table in front of us. I took another sip of wine, savoring the burn as it went down. My fighter advanced, grabbed the bloody sword, and swung it down to decapitate Sam's fighter. With a roar, Sam's fighter

"I guess we have no one to blame but ourselves," Sam murmured in my ear, his eyes fixed on his brother. Lucifer was still jumping up and down, his excitement almost infectious. I raised an eyebrow. "How often does he win a bet? He looks way too happy about this.""I've never let him join before. He's... quite theatrical," Sam replied."That'll be fun when we travel to another realm," I said with a soft sigh."But first, something else," Sam whispered in my ear.I glanced over my shoulder, looking up at him. His eyes sparkled with mischief."I'm rather thirsty. Fetch me a drink," Sam ordered, the excitement clear in his voice.I huffed loudly. "It's our wedding day," I objected. "I don’t want to—""Ssh," Sam said, placing a finger against my lips. "No arguments, no fights. My slave for twenty-four hours, remember? No date or time was set.""I'm in my wedding dress," I tried again."And soon you won’t be," Sam responded, his face inches from mine. "A drink, pretty girl, now.""You truly

"Now ride me." Sam commanded. I snapped my head up, forgetting his buttons, and stared at him with wide eyes. "You can't be serious—" "I thought we agreed on no arguments," Sam cut in quickly. "You're arguing quite a lot for a slave." My mouth clamped shut. "We're in public," I said, as if he didn’t already know. "Then I suggest you do it very discreetly," Sam replied. "And light me another cigarette, dear." He opened his cigarette packet and offered it to me. "Yes, my King," I said, almost shaking my head in disbelief. I couldn’t believe I was about to do this. I snatched a cigarette from his hand, lit it with my own fingers, took a drag, and handed it back to him. As soon as he took it, I pressed my lower body fully against his. My wet underwear rubbed against him, and my hands clenched as my mind screamed at me to lift myself off and escape. This was too much. Sam placed his hand on my hip, forcing my body down. "Continue," he directed. I swayed my hips forward, riding a

Bodies pressed close as Sam pulled me against him, my mind still spinning from his behavior. "What are you doing with me?" I whispered, fitting my body against his. "Making the most of this opportunity." Sam replied, twirling me elegantly. "The opportunity to do what?" I asked. Sam yanked me back, his lips brushing my ear. "To make you as crazy as you make me." I turned my face toward him, feeling his lips graze my cheek, feather-light. "The thought of touching you whenever I want, ordering you to touch yourself, getting you undressed, and having you touch me—it’s almost too good to be true." Sam explained. "But you can do that anyway." I pointed out, sliding my hand up his torso. His skin jumped at my touch, a shiver running through him, betraying how much I affected him. "Not really. I've never had full control over you." Sam responded. I almost argued, but his words struck a chord, and I pulled him closer. "Now, dance for me." Sam ordered, desire lacing his voice. I smirke

“Are we really sure about this?“ Elle asked, her voice thick with apprehension. “We’re sure.” Elyse replied firmly, her eyes brimming with hope. Neither Elle nor I could bring ourselves to object any further. There was only one wall between this room and the dungeons, which were currently empty since all the prisoners had been taken out for the hunt. That's why tonight was the perfect night to do this. Sam wouldn't be here, and nor would be any of the hunters. Adrian had been invited to the hunt, much to his delight, and so even he would be occupied for the entire night. “How exactly do we do this?” I asked, frowning as doubt crept in. Half of me was convinced it wouldn’t work. The other half—the rational part—was terrified that it might. “Did we really have to pick the creepiest place for this?!” I jumped at the sound of a male voice, my hand instinctively gripping the hilt of my knife. Dante and Reggie had entered, Dante carrying a thick black book while Reggie laughed, pattin

I smiled and tugged on Sam’s pants, pulling him closer until his body pressed against mine. The thick branch beneath us held steady, but offered no protection from the cold wind gusting over our bare skin. Sam’s lips captured mine once again, and as his hand slid across my skin, feeling my goosebumps, fire burst from his fingertips. I gasped when the branch caught fire. Sam quickly doused the flames with his ice, but I stared at the charred spot, shock coursing through me. My mouth fell open in disbelief. "What... What is this?" I asked with disbelief. “I... I don’t know,” Sam replied, his eyes wide with uncertainty. “Have you always had this?” I questioned suspiciously, turning toward him. He looked at me, clearly unsure. “No,” he admitted, glancing down at his hand in amazement. I did the same. “I think it’s you. Your fire... it’s in my veins now.” I blinked, trying to process his words. "I noticed it every time I had your blood in my system. I felt the warmth. But I couldn

  • Captured by Satan   Chapter 186: Fight

I bit my lip in torment, unable to tear my gaze away from Sam’s bare upper body. The fact that my body temperature was already too high didn’t help, nor did the way Sam moved in the fighting circle, calculating his next move to defeat his eight opponents. The scar I had given him long ago with a whip stood out starkly against his bronzed skin. The crown still sat firmly on his head, a testament to his rigid posture—even in the middle of combat. I almost groaned in desperation when Sam lifted the corner of his mouth into a smug smirk, taunting his enemies. Sam was intoxicated by the fight. It had been a long time since anyone dared challenge him, but tonight, nothing could stop him. He gave his challengers a simple choice: yield or die. A number of demons already lay dead at the corners of the ring. The vampires were nearly driven mad by the scent of blood, but Lucifer had kept them in check by giving each a bottle of blood wine. They lounged around, enjoying the company of several

  • Captured by Satan   Chapter 185: The moment is here

I followed Sam's gaze and was met with thousands of silent eyes. It was still beyond me how such a large crowd could remain so quiet. My eyes first landed on Lucifer's wife, who was yanked back harshly by her husband. Lucifer looked regal, wearing a massive crown. His purple attire suited his large frame, and he puffed out his chest proudly when our gazes met. Shea stood a few meters away with the Lust crowd, her expression disapproving. The moment our eyes met, she quickly looked down. Moving on, I saw Adrian with his arms around Elle, both beaming with happiness and pride. I forced myself to suppress a smile, wanting to appear serious, and looked further. Dagon stood with Ren, holding hands. Ren gently stroked Dagon's arm. I almost gasped when I noticed a slight bump in Dagon's belly. I nodded in acknowledgment, and Dagon responded with a serene smile, nodding back. Elyse stood near them, arms crossed, looking as fierce as any demon king. The numerous knives strapped to her bod

“Don’t be nervous.” Elle scolded me from behind. I huffed in response. “I’m so done with these public events.” I replied, wringing my hands together. “Well, get ready for a lot more. You’re going to be Queen.” Elyse commented from the side. I eyed her, furrowing my brows. Elle finished the intricate braid, adding small wildflowers to my hair. Their colors popped against my dark strands, and I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. Elyse applied a final swipe of red lipstick to my lips, stepping back to admire her work. "You look absolutely perfect. Like a true Queen." I smiled again. My throat was bare. It would soon be adorned with a ruby necklace, similar to Sam's. Small rubies dangled from my ears, and a simple gold bracelet wrapped around my wrist. My dress was black and red, massive and encrusted with gemstones. I could barely walk in it, but apparently, this was how coronation dresses looked in this realm. Except for Elle, considering she was dressed in lingerie and a see

"Two bottles and one pack of cigarettes a month. That's my offer. Take it or leave it." Sam said, turning to Rhazien. The vampire sucked on his teeth, his fangs just visible, sharp and menacing. A shudder ran through me. They looked lethal. And painful. Lucifer, leaning heavily on the table, looked desperate. Around him, the vampires shared the same tense, eager expressions. Rhazien paused, letting the tension stretch. He scanned the room, his gaze lingering on each of us before it finally settled on Sam. He nodded once. "Yes!" Lucifer cheered, immediately turning to point at random vampires—each of them stunning in their own way. Lucifer's wife was going to have a heart attack. "I'll have my own harem!" He announced proudly. Sam sighed, clearly exasperated. "Oh, hell... What have we gotten ourselves into?" I snorted, nudging his chest. "Let him have his fun." "My brothers won’t be happy about this," Sam muttered. "I just gave the King of Pride something to brag about

  • Captured by Satan   Chapter 182: Gifts

I watched with interest as everyone around me became increasingly drunk. I kept my distance from the wine, not wanting to cloud my mind, and leaned comfortably against Sam. The vampires danced with the grace and allure of professional performers, putting on quite the spectacle. “I have some gifts for you, Rhazien.” Sam said, cutting through my distracted thoughts. “Gifts?” Rhazien’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “For your hospitality.” Sam reached to his side, producing a packet of cigarettes and a bottle of wine. Rhazien gasped, his excitement palpable. “Is that…?” Rhazien asked, his voice full of wonder. “Yes,” Sam smirked from behind me, “enjoy them.” “What are those?” I asked, eyeing the odd-smelling cigarettes. I recognized the wine as blood wine. “Blood cigarettes,” Sam replied. I froze at the words. “A delicacy for vampires. They can’t make them themselves. The process is intricate and involves working with a lot of blood,” he explained softly. Rhazien twirled the cigare

Sam cleared his throat and turned to Rhazien. “We agree—on my wife’s condition. My brother gets to take a vampire of his choice home. I’ll supply you with at least a dozen humans every month, in exchange for a dozen vampires.” Rhazien glanced from Sam to me, then over to Lucifer, who was still dancing. After a moment, he sighed. “Deal.” “Perfect.” Sam said with a grin, extending his hand. They shook on it, both clearly satisfied. I looked ahead, noticing some women dancing sensually on the bar. Their bodies moved like snakes, swaying their hips seductively, the atmosphere dripping with allure. Sam and Rhazien clinked their glasses and downed their drinks in sync, slamming the empty glasses down with matching grins. I knew Sam was getting drunk when he suddenly pulled me onto his lap. I gasped, instinctively resisting, but his supernatural strength held me still. He pressed my hips against his and my back against his chest. His arms encircled me, and he placed another glass of w

The dark ballroom got even darker when Rhazien clapped his hands, and the dangerous tension in the room rose considerably. “Do you think they’ll dance with me?” Lucifer asked, his eyes fixed on a group of vampires. “They would be honored, King of Envy,” Credence replied. “Many of us have never had the privilege of meeting a demon.” "Why is that?" I asked with interest, glancing at the human girls twirling around in beautiful dresses, their vampire partners looking down at them like they were a snack. They probably were. “We're not foolish enough to venture into the demon realm. That would be suicide,” Credence explained, tapping her glass with her long, blood-red nails. “Nor do we invite demons into our lands. Demons are too bloodthirsty. For your King, we made a exception." "We won't shed any blood here." I promised her, even though I couldn't see her. "Don't make promises that aren't yours to make, Queen of Wrath. Your husband has quite the reputation. We know the risks we’ve
