Elyse's eyes widened in utter shock.

Around me, everything fell into a deadly silence.

Standing on the stage, I slowly lowered the thick paper in my hand, the other clutching the microphone. Every eye in the garden was fixed on me. Somewhere close, a female voice erupted.

"LIAR!" She yelled.

I snapped my head to the side, meeting the gaze of the Queen of Greed, or rather, the Ex-Queen of Greed.

"That's what is written here." I retorted, lifting the paper in my hand.

Before I could say anything else to her, the paper was snatched away. I glanced up at the Greed guard, the earlier speaker, and heard a loud growl from the crowd. Sam.

The guard hadn't heard him. He was focused intently on the will, his eyes darting back and forth. He narrowed his eyes in concentration at the bottom, where Micah had put his signature and a drop of his blood. The guard sniffed the paper, glanced at me, and slowly lowered the paper again.

He turned to face the crowd. "It is true."

"FAY!" Adrian's voice thundered through the chaos. With a single step and no thoughts in my brain, I plunged into the heart of the turmoil, my resolve unyielding. As the clamour of battle raged around me, I knew that I would stop at nothing to ensure Elyse's safety. "SAMMI! IT'S FAY!" I heard Adrian shout angrily through the chaos. I pressed forward, ignoring the demon behind me. A flash of light brown hair caught my eye, and I instinctively surged towards it. A blade flew through the air, aimed for my head, but I swiftly dodged it without even looking to the side. A demon snarled from close-by, but my attention remained fixed on the path ahead. Elyse. Where are you? Please be alive. When I saw the amount of bodies laying around, fear settled in my bones. What if she was already dead? What if someone already hacked off her head, and was now showing it to everybody- Elyse is alive. She had to be. Elyse is alive. I kept whispering the words to myself. The demons around me started

"Let this day be etched in the history books of Greed. Let this day be a reminder of King Mammon, and everything he has achieved." Elyse proclaimed, her voice brimming with confidence. I watched as all the demons hung onto her every word, entranced by her speech. "For he truly was a fierce leader," Elyse half-yelled, "and the wisest King of all." I could tell Sam rolled his eyes, I felt it in my bones. But he remained quiet, and allowed Elyse have this important moment. He even stepped aside for her, but stayed on the stage with her, looking like a strong ally. "The days of King Mammon are over..." Elyse announced with a strong voice, "But the days of Greed are just beginning. Today marks the end of an era, but the start of a new chapter. Today is the day, that Greed will rise as the strongest kingdom of all!" The demons of Greed erupted into cheers, fists raised in celebration of their new queen. "Everybody is welcome to gift King Mammon one personal item. It will be placed

My senses stirred as Sam's feet met the ground, rousing me from slumber. The night sky stretched above us, adorned with countless shimmering stars. The castle loomed before us, its dark silhouette commanding respect. As I reached out to touch its smooth stone, a shiver seemed to ripple through its ancient walls. Burta's beady eyes fixed on me, and I responded with a playful gesture, sticking my tongue out at the bat. His squeal of amusement only fueled my mischievousness. "I prefer you this way." I teased. Sam's wings vanished as I slid off his back, just as the bat darted toward me, coming straight for my face. "No time." Sam intervened as he grabbed the bat mid-air. In an instant, the creature transformed into the man I knew, bowing respectfully. "Yes, my King." He acknowledged, before swiftly leading the way. Sam's hand enveloped mine as we followed. "Do not speak to him, flower. Let me do the talking. In fact-" "I'm coming." I interjected, knowing he was going to orde

"Being poor." Sam announced next, "Poor like one of the beggars in your kingdom. He had vivid nightmares of begging for food. He despised the beggars."The pink demon kept his gaze on Sam, his expression a professional calm mask."Losing his crown. Losing his status." Sam said with a final tone. The pink demon nodded. "Thank you-""In particular," Sam interrupted him, silencing the pink demon instantly "To his son."The King's eyes widened slightly. He furrowed his brows, an almost angry expression taking over. "Let me guess." He spat out, "Losing his precious crown to his... Pink son?""His worst fear was that you would take over as King, would he ever die. He thought you the weakest, incapable of leading his kingdom." Sam replied, his words harsh. The words must've stung his soul, though he didn't show it. Instead, he just shook his head with his jaw clenched tightly."He wasn't the brightest of Kings." He muttered."That, I know." Sam answered. "I heard you defeated all of your twe

"She is pregnant." Dasmien spoke, his eyes on the Wrath demon. She looked back at him with hopeful eyes. "I want to make her my wife." He said, turning to Sam. A stunned silence filled the room. "What?" Sam asked, his hand finding mine again. Dasmien glanced down at our intertwined hands. "I want to make Guirita my wife. Marine demons are not monogamous. I will have several wives. Guirita will be my first." Sam stayed silent, scanning the two demons in front of him with slight disbelief. Guirita looked back at Sam, her eyes filled with worry and fear. "With her being a Wrath demon, our kingdoms will forever be connected. Her child is my child, our child is half Wrath." Dasmien said. Shock poured from Sam into me. Shock, but also wary relief. "I am still married to her. She is the current queen of-" "She's not, though. You have never crowned her as Queen." Dasmien interrupted Sam. "She's with child of another man, who was not from Wrath. He stopped at my bra, and flicked it open with two fingers."Tell me the secret." I urged again, my fingers pushing into the cold glass in front of me.If he undressed me here, everybody would see my naked body with just a glance upward. Guards patrolled below, heads bowed, weapons at the ready.Sam eased the dress off my right shoulder slowly, ignoring my question. Then my left side, and I turned to look at Sam. His gaze was dark and hungry."Please tell me." I whispered, locking eyes with him.As he looked at me, he pulled on my dress. It slipped down, exposing me to his kingdom. I fought the urge to grab the slippery fabric, which was sliding lower and lower over my body."Secrets ARE very powerful, I see." He whispered, his breath warm against my skin."What if someone sees me?" I asked him.The dress was pulled down more as an answer. It pooled at my feet, a cloud of blackness. A chill ran down my spine as his cold hand trailed over my back, while the other gripped my hip and sli

He sensed my need, and his teeth sank into my neck. A rush of adrenaline raced through my veins. I fell apart, a moaning scream escaping me. My body, overwhelmed by lust, seemed to shatter and then reshape itself. Sam was a steady presence behind me, holding on as if his life depended on it. A wave of pure lust had slammed into me as I came together with Satan. My skin prickled. My forehead rested against the cold glass. Sam slowly peeled me off the sticky glass. "How does it feel being owned by the devil?" "How does it feel being owned by a human?" I replied with closed eyes and a soft smile around my lips, feeling more powerful than ever. A strange energy coursed through me, my fingertips tingling with life. I was uncontrollably sensitive to Sam's presence. It was like he was my life, a part of my soul. Sam guided me down on the carpet, right next to the glass. "Like I'm owned by heaven itself. Fucking incredible," Sam said, running his fingers over my skin. I smiled softly.

I tried to run as fast as I could, but my legs ached from the torment Sam had put me through. My body burned and protested, but I pushed through the pain. It was too soon. "My King! Please! No one is allowed in!" A guard wailed behind us. Sam was right behind me, fighting off any demons who tried to stop us. "Try to come closer, and see what happens." Sam snarled over his shoulder to the servant. The guard slowed his run, a panicked look on his face. He had a knife in his hand, an automatic reaction to our sudden arrival, but his hand faltered upon hearing Sam's snarl. He stopped running altogether, a frightened look on his face. "This is easier than I thought it would be." Sam said from behind me. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Since we had arrived, every guard had come to attack us. Sam had fought them off all alone, letting me run ahead of him, ensuring I would get here as soon as I could. He had fought off every demon that stood in my way. Two white double doors cam

“Are we really sure about this?“ Elle asked, her voice thick with apprehension. “We’re sure.” Elyse replied firmly, her eyes brimming with hope. Neither Elle nor I could bring ourselves to object any further. There was only one wall between this room and the dungeons, which were currently empty since all the prisoners had been taken out for the hunt. That's why tonight was the perfect night to do this. Sam wouldn't be here, and nor would be any of the hunters. Adrian had been invited to the hunt, much to his delight, and so even he would be occupied for the entire night. “How exactly do we do this?” I asked, frowning as doubt crept in. Half of me was convinced it wouldn’t work. The other half—the rational part—was terrified that it might. “Did we really have to pick the creepiest place for this?!” I jumped at the sound of a male voice, my hand instinctively gripping the hilt of my knife. Dante and Reggie had entered, Dante carrying a thick black book while Reggie laughed, pattin

I smiled and tugged on Sam’s pants, pulling him closer until his body pressed against mine. The thick branch beneath us held steady, but offered no protection from the cold wind gusting over our bare skin. Sam’s lips captured mine once again, and as his hand slid across my skin, feeling my goosebumps, fire burst from his fingertips. I gasped when the branch caught fire. Sam quickly doused the flames with his ice, but I stared at the charred spot, shock coursing through me. My mouth fell open in disbelief. "What... What is this?" I asked with disbelief. “I... I don’t know,” Sam replied, his eyes wide with uncertainty. “Have you always had this?” I questioned suspiciously, turning toward him. He looked at me, clearly unsure. “No,” he admitted, glancing down at his hand in amazement. I did the same. “I think it’s you. Your fire... it’s in my veins now.” I blinked, trying to process his words. "I noticed it every time I had your blood in my system. I felt the warmth. But I couldn

  • Captured by Satan   Chapter 186: Fight

I bit my lip in torment, unable to tear my gaze away from Sam’s bare upper body. The fact that my body temperature was already too high didn’t help, nor did the way Sam moved in the fighting circle, calculating his next move to defeat his eight opponents. The scar I had given him long ago with a whip stood out starkly against his bronzed skin. The crown still sat firmly on his head, a testament to his rigid posture—even in the middle of combat. I almost groaned in desperation when Sam lifted the corner of his mouth into a smug smirk, taunting his enemies. Sam was intoxicated by the fight. It had been a long time since anyone dared challenge him, but tonight, nothing could stop him. He gave his challengers a simple choice: yield or die. A number of demons already lay dead at the corners of the ring. The vampires were nearly driven mad by the scent of blood, but Lucifer had kept them in check by giving each a bottle of blood wine. They lounged around, enjoying the company of several

I followed Sam's gaze and was met with thousands of silent eyes. It was still beyond me how such a large crowd could remain so quiet. My eyes first landed on Lucifer's wife, who was yanked back harshly by her husband. Lucifer looked regal, wearing a massive crown. His purple attire suited his large frame, and he puffed out his chest proudly when our gazes met. Shea stood a few meters away with the Lust crowd, her expression disapproving. The moment our eyes met, she quickly looked down. Moving on, I saw Adrian with his arms around Elle, both beaming with happiness and pride. I forced myself to suppress a smile, wanting to appear serious, and looked further. Dagon stood with Ren, holding hands. Ren gently stroked Dagon's arm. I almost gasped when I noticed a slight bump in Dagon's belly. I nodded in acknowledgment, and Dagon responded with a serene smile, nodding back. Elyse stood near them, arms crossed, looking as fierce as any demon king. The numerous knives strapped to her bod

“Don’t be nervous.” Elle scolded me from behind. I huffed in response. “I’m so done with these public events.” I replied, wringing my hands together. “Well, get ready for a lot more. You’re going to be Queen.” Elyse commented from the side. I eyed her, furrowing my brows. Elle finished the intricate braid, adding small wildflowers to my hair. Their colors popped against my dark strands, and I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. Elyse applied a final swipe of red lipstick to my lips, stepping back to admire her work. "You look absolutely perfect. Like a true Queen." I smiled again. My throat was bare. It would soon be adorned with a ruby necklace, similar to Sam's. Small rubies dangled from my ears, and a simple gold bracelet wrapped around my wrist. My dress was black and red, massive and encrusted with gemstones. I could barely walk in it, but apparently, this was how coronation dresses looked in this realm. Except for Elle, considering she was dressed in lingerie and a see

"Two bottles and one pack of cigarettes a month. That's my offer. Take it or leave it." Sam said, turning to Rhazien. The vampire sucked on his teeth, his fangs just visible, sharp and menacing. A shudder ran through me. They looked lethal. And painful. Lucifer, leaning heavily on the table, looked desperate. Around him, the vampires shared the same tense, eager expressions. Rhazien paused, letting the tension stretch. He scanned the room, his gaze lingering on each of us before it finally settled on Sam. He nodded once. "Yes!" Lucifer cheered, immediately turning to point at random vampires—each of them stunning in their own way. Lucifer's wife was going to have a heart attack. "I'll have my own harem!" He announced proudly. Sam sighed, clearly exasperated. "Oh, hell... What have we gotten ourselves into?" I snorted, nudging his chest. "Let him have his fun." "My brothers won’t be happy about this," Sam muttered. "I just gave the King of Pride something to brag about

I watched with interest as everyone around me became increasingly drunk. I kept my distance from the wine, not wanting to cloud my mind, and leaned comfortably against Sam. The vampires danced with the grace and allure of professional performers, putting on quite the spectacle. “I have some gifts for you, Rhazien.” Sam said, cutting through my distracted thoughts. “Gifts?” Rhazien’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “For your hospitality.” Sam reached to his side, producing a packet of cigarettes and a bottle of wine. Rhazien gasped, his excitement palpable. “Is that…?” Rhazien asked, his voice full of wonder. “Yes,” Sam smirked from behind me, “enjoy them.” “What are those?” I asked, eyeing the odd-smelling cigarettes. I recognized the wine as blood wine. “Blood cigarettes,” Sam replied. I froze at the words. “A delicacy for vampires. They can’t make them themselves. The process is intricate and involves working with a lot of blood,” he explained softly. Rhazien twirled the cigare

Sam cleared his throat and turned to Rhazien. “We agree—on my wife’s condition. My brother gets to take a vampire of his choice home. I’ll supply you with at least a dozen humans every month, in exchange for a dozen vampires.” Rhazien glanced from Sam to me, then over to Lucifer, who was still dancing. After a moment, he sighed. “Deal.” “Perfect.” Sam said with a grin, extending his hand. They shook on it, both clearly satisfied. I looked ahead, noticing some women dancing sensually on the bar. Their bodies moved like snakes, swaying their hips seductively, the atmosphere dripping with allure. Sam and Rhazien clinked their glasses and downed their drinks in sync, slamming the empty glasses down with matching grins. I knew Sam was getting drunk when he suddenly pulled me onto his lap. I gasped, instinctively resisting, but his supernatural strength held me still. He pressed my hips against his and my back against his chest. His arms encircled me, and he placed another glass of w

The dark ballroom got even darker when Rhazien clapped his hands, and the dangerous tension in the room rose considerably. “Do you think they’ll dance with me?” Lucifer asked, his eyes fixed on a group of vampires. “They would be honored, King of Envy,” Credence replied. “Many of us have never had the privilege of meeting a demon.” "Why is that?" I asked with interest, glancing at the human girls twirling around in beautiful dresses, their vampire partners looking down at them like they were a snack. They probably were. “We're not foolish enough to venture into the demon realm. That would be suicide,” Credence explained, tapping her glass with her long, blood-red nails. “Nor do we invite demons into our lands. Demons are too bloodthirsty. For your King, we made a exception." "We won't shed any blood here." I promised her, even though I couldn't see her. "Don't make promises that aren't yours to make, Queen of Wrath. Your husband has quite the reputation. We know the risks we’ve
