Lena walked sluggishly out of the palace, brooding about the assignment that had been assigned to her. To put her through a little more suffering, he demands that she conduct the errand personally even though everyone knows that the police and investigative bureaus should handle such a chore.
A little distance from the palace, she remained motionless, her features sculpted as she examined the picture once more. She recognized that face, but there was one thing she was unable to do: remember where they had first met. Or was it just an imagination? "I had nothing to do with him—he is not even a young guy." She slipped the picture inside her dress and continued walking, without planning to check the assignment once more. She squinted as she walked past a roasted chicken that was being sold. “I have no dime with me for the first time in my life, or I would have grabbed one…” she licked her lips, savoring the aroma of the chicken. "I can just leave, and he will not be able to locate me again." Her pupils widened as she considered it. "I think I can handle it, and then this will be over, right? Perhaps moving to a distant Pack where he will not even consider visiting…” her lips slightly smiled. She could see the logic in that notion. “Let's do it!” Her wolf gave her a quick head scratch just as she was ready to run off. “Hey! What is wrong? You absolutely can not do that.” "Do you believe that we will be secure outside? Did you forget that he is in control of the entire werewolf pack? That means it will not be difficult to find us. Do you have a death wish?” With fury, her wolf growled at her. “Girl! Before acting, you must consider things out.” Lena clenched her hands around her dress. "So we should continue to be slaves there, huh? Are you aware of how excruciating it is at all?” With a protective stance, she bit her bottom lip. "Knowing how terrible he is, you will not even consider staying there for a night ever again," she shot back with a sneer. “Then if you must run away, it should be after the full blue moon….” her wolf added and went mute instantly. She persisted for a bit before taking off. "Until then, I am unable to remain here. This is an opportunity I must take advantage of.” Her movements quickened, desperate to get out of the Pack before the Alpha Don realized his slave was still missing. "I need to get a few items from that residence, or at minimum enough money to keep me fed," she thought as she hurried to her father's home. It seemed eerie when she got there. Her limbs shook and she felt a chilly pit grow in her stomach. She muttered under her breath, "Why do I feel nervous so suddenly?" as she cast a few glances at the structure. She prodded her head, trying to shake off the horror that was starting to take hold of her. "Is this not my father's palace anymore?" she said. She plucked up enough bravery to enter the structure. Even though her body shook, she pushed her feet to move forward. She wondered to herself, "Why does it appear like a haunted building simply within a week?" and raced to her room. There, she quickly grabbed some of her clothing and placed them in a small bag before taking her savings box containing cash. "My father's chamber will contain additional cash. I have to check.'' She put on one of her shoes before leaving the room, grabbed the others, and entered her father's room, which was next to hers. She trembled while she looked for his money since the room was so chilly. She discovered them in his drawers and snatched them all. "After I calm down, I will use a few to plan a little funeral for you. I hope your soul will rest in peace and meet my mother in the afterlife.” As she turned to walk away, she shook her head and felt a chill go down her spine from a startling sound. At that moment, she froze, darting her eyes everywhere. “What was that? Is there anyone here?” her heart dropped into her belly. Another sound almost took her to the ground, but she clasped her palms to her chest, panting like one who took a race. "Why am I experiencing this level of anxiety in a home where I should be at ease?" she said, letting out a long sigh. "I should find out what that was." Approaching the open window with deliberate and quiet steps, she noticed nobody was there. Just as she turned to go, she heard a second sound coming from her left. She winked. “Is there a way here?” Her head pounding, her hands perspiring and dropping to the ground. As she approached and adjusted the cotton, she noticed a wall. "So, where is the source of the noise?" She put her hand on the wall and gently rubbed it until it split apart like a door. “Jeez! What is it that my father built here that I am unaware of?” She dropped to the floor in terror as she peered into the room and saw the face there. Looking again, she saw that the face was pale and exhausted and that the room was covered with blood. “Moon goddess!” She crept to the door and darted out of the room, letting out a scream as she did so. Until she was outside the building, she did not turn to look back. ~ “Your Majesty, did you send your slave on an errand?” came the voice of the Alpha’s Beta. Don Dante glanced at him and nodded. "Did she create an issue outside?" He took off his necktie and left it on the bed. Beta Tyron approached him. “Not that; instead, I witnessed her scurrying out from her father's residence while holding a small suitcase. She appeared shocked to be sprinting without turning around till she reached the woods.” His tone became so gentle that it went through the Alpha's ear. “Woods? To do what there?” his brows raised. "Why did she appear frightened in her father's home?" Beta Tyron shrugged his shoulders. "I suppose she was skeptical of what she observed." "What did she observe?" Alpha Dante reached inside his side pockets with his palms. He was already anxious to find out what it was that alarmed a recalcitrant woman such as his slave. Lena is a powerful lady who, if he were not a Mafia member, would resist his demands. And so, whatever it is that creeped her out must be scary indeed. "I shall have a look if you can not say it." “No need!” Tyron gave a heavy sigh. "A funeral will be performed since we carried his corpse with us." Turning his back on his Beta, Alpha swallowed hard. "That person, who is that?" “Your Uncle!” His jaw dropped—eyes widened. “My Uncle? Where did you find his corpse?” "As I mentioned to you, your slave fled the home appearing to be exhausted, so I inspected the structure—though not every room. They found your uncle's body in one of the slave father's inner apartments, so I did not bother searching the other rooms," he gulped and went on. “Both his body and the room were covered in blood. Which implies that he killed him and disposed of his body in the room so that it would never be discovered.” Tyron licked his lips. Withdrawing his hands, Alpha pushed his palms into his hair. “I knew he was killed, but what I didn't believe was that his body would be imprisoned in there…” he gnashed his teeth. “And that slut packed her bag to run away from me—” he sneered. “I can inhale her scent from here.” He looked up at Tyron. "I have to find that bitch personally, so arrange the funeral." "There is a full blue moon tonight." As he was leaving the room, Tyron caught his attention. He gave a nod. "That implies that the funeral will happen tomorrow."In the woods, Lena sat with her legs crossed. Her eyes were fixed on a spot as she continued panting. Moments passed, but she has not been herself. After running a great distance without stopping, she felt as though time would erupt and she would lose it all. With a gasp, she released her breath through her lips, repositioned, and then scanned her surroundings with her gaze. She mumbled, continuing looking around, "I can finally depart from here after having enough rest—"She closed her eyes tightly, attempting to preserve the face of the body she saw laying in her father's house while she relived everything that had happened there. "That picture!" She took it out and hurled it straight to the ground. “It's this face! It was him!” she clutched her palms to her chest. “What…what is he doing there?” She realized that the room was frigid and covered with blood.Right then, her heart began to sink into her stomach. “Wait! My father…..” she shook her head, not trying to even think about it
The wolf in her continued to whine in order to unite with her mate. Even while her body was heated and moans of anguish escaped her esophagus, exhilaration rose up inside her. Her genital regions filled up, and her labia struggled to keep up with the dampness and clear fluid that gushed out of her pussy. Her eyes closed as she slid to the floor, grabbing her garments and slipping them down her body. Thanks to the moon goddess she was already marked, or her heat would attract lots of unmated males of the Pack to rest on her.Her breathing accelerated. She tried not to touch herself, knowing that the man who had marked her was still sitting in front of her, watching her as she struggled to get over her heat. She had never considered going into heat anytime soon, not even in the next full moon, but now she understood why her wolf had opposed her leaving the Pack before the full moon.Struggling to get over it, she couldn't. Squeezing her fist did not matter since her hands moved down her
As Alpha Nathan arrived, he saw Lena on the floor and reached over to lift her. Even though he was not her mate, he had been following her scent to locate her and calm her because he knew she would be in heat tonight.Don Dante made a protective position over Lena and shook him off as he bent to cradle her."Attempting to eclipse the Don, what does that mean?" his icy tone echoed back to the trio. He smirked and looked at Lena, who had sat up. “What is the Alpha of Celestial Pack doing in my privacy with my mate? Why would you invade my territory?”Lena's pulse was racing because she did not want to think about what would transpire in front of her eyes between the two Alpha Kings. She is certain that Alpha Nathan has not let up his rage because she has known him since they were young and they were friends before they started to feel something for one another.Speaking of which, the Alpha Don is a demon himself who would tear Nathan to pieces if he were to come across his way. Consider
In the mountain, wolves howled at the moon, flesh banged against flesh, and unmated werewolves sought their mates and moaned.Alpha Dante approached the mountain, his presence sending shivers down the spines of those in his realm. With a quick peek at them as he approached, they were all gone. An echo of his people's voice rang out throughout the mountain, "Long live, Your Majesty!"His lips parted as one of the pretty ladies came forward to him. Bowing, she followed her gaze up to his face from his feet. "Supreme Alpha!" she said as she walked up to him. Unlike him, who let his wolf take control of him, he stood still. He could not allow it to occur in order to compel the women to approach him more closely. He felt an enormous wave of rage wash over him even as he stared at her."Have me like yours tonight, Alpha," the woman said.He simply kept his eyes fixated on the woman without saying anything. Right then, Elena was the only image in his mind. Reminiscing on the moment of pleasu
Before the sun rose the following morning, Alpha Nathan, who remained inside his palace, called his soldiers together in his bedroom. Last night, he had trouble sleeping and did not go to the mountain as usual. He could not stop thinking about Elena and how he might get her back.No matter how powerful and demonish the Alpha Don is, he won't give up on taking Lena from him, and that is a battle he wants to start—to fight the Don and take away from him what he has been with long ago.He peered at the expressions of his soldiers who had already assembled, anticipating his next move. "You will all go to Alpha Romano's palace and look around. Make sure to get out the corpse in his hidden compartment, located in his bed chamber." He hesitated and shook his head. "Do it covertly. Make certain you are not detected. Find the corpse and return it to me. Nobody would know who he is," he said, relaying his instruction.“Yes, your Majesty!” They chorused and wiggled their way out of the room. His
Lena watched with tears in her eyes as the entire Pack mourned the death of a man who was her master's uncle. She is less oblivious to his position within the Pack, his title, and the fact that they have all convened just to mourn him.She wept as she looked at the picture with the flowers all around it and the Alpha Don doing the ceremony. She did not think such a strong man would cry so much in front of his people.Since she is a slave and fear would not allow her to go any closer, she made the sensible decision to take advantage of the situation and go after the morgue attendant as she had already determined. "I need to confirm that everyone is present," she said, remaining motionless and moving her gaze quickly until he discovered the mistress, the Beta, and the other people who had gathered to one side, all of them in tears. She slipped out of sight by entering the palace through the back entrance slowly. "I have to get back before the funeral is over." She thought, digging in he
Lena approached the grave where the morgue attendant had been burned after the group of guys left the forest. "You lost your life defending my father. I hope your soul will rest in peace and you will meet him in the afterlife.'' She knelt and scooped up a handful of sand, softly pouring it onto the grave.Knowing that the funeral must be drawing to a conclusion, she turned instantly to depart. "What else would I do now that he has killed him and I can not locate the truth?" she asked, shaking her head. She said, taking short strolls, "Just keep being his slave and do not goof up or I will finish up dead."She feels like a traitor to her family every time she remembers that there is nothing she can do to undo her father's death. "If I do not take revenge, my father might not be able to rest in peace, but what can I do in the absence of evidence? How do I find out if he is innocent of this crime and inform the entire Pack?" It was upsetting her, but she could not find a way to feel at
The sky had turned dark, but Don Dante had yet to conceal the anguish that had welled up inside him. He was pacing the room, a glass of alcoholic wine clutched in his left hand and a cigarette stick smoldering between his fingers.Since the death of his wife, that was the only way he could pull himself together. Since being married, he had given up smoking and excessive alcohol use, but the loss of his closest loved one forced him to pick up the terrible habit again since he knew it was the only thing that would make him feel better. He threw Lena out of his chamber and then gave the order for nobody to enter at all. But the mistress was not pleased with the order because it was already four hours and he was still smoking and drinking. Knowing how harmful it may be to his health, she wanted to take it away from him. After giving it some thought, she made the decision to defy his orders and enter the room to speak with him. She must intervene, or he will go nuts if he continues to harm
CHAPTER 38 As Lena left, Alfred released a deep breath. He looked around to see the armed men almost close to him. He shook his head, “I'm not their priority. They can still leave me to live and go after her…” he looked at the direction Lena took. “We have to meet again, Lena. We didn't grow together, but I felt that bond. We have to live and spend time together…even if we won't have parents anymore.”His lips pulled apart slightly. He glanced around and found a heavy stone, which he grabbed.“They can't find me either. They won't find us. We don't have to lose each other after meeting again. My mother is also waiting for me.” he blinked, letting his tears roll down his cheeks. With all his might, he threw the stone to a distance, and it rolled over, going down deeper. He chuckled as the men felt that was the direction they took and headed towards the area. He slowly got to his feet and took the other way, heading to a destination he didn't know. When he felt he had walked enough and
CHAPTER 37 Alfred tapped Lena. He pulled her backwards, and they went back into the inner room. “This won't work! It's risky!!” he released a hot breath. “Look, let's just distract them. They are too huge to be fought. We will end up dead as they wish if we make any mistake…”Lena rolled her eyes. She felt so baffled that her body seemed to be on fire. Even though she wishes to die instead of Alfred, a part of her wants her to live for her son. She believes that someday, she will meet with her son and will even be welcomed back by the Don again. She sighed deeply and looked at Alfred. “So, how do you think we will distract them?”“Let's wait till they fall deep asleep. They can't cheat nature. They will certainly doze off at a time.” he suggested, and she nodded. “Do you think we will be able to get their boss’ medicine?”Lena shook her head. She had already thought about it several times and found no solution to that. “I believe he takes the treatment at the hospital, so whatever me
CHAPTER 36 Tyrion picked up the cigarette, looked at it, and dropped it on the floor. “It's a pity I won't have it again.” he shook his head pitifully. “I have to live, not for a few years, but for how long I wish.” he rubbed his finger on his lips. “Make sure they don't have a way to escape from there…..” The young man standing before him bowed to him. “It's already well protected—”He picked up the envelope on the floor and pulled out the letter in it. For the fifth time, he read it and burst into laughter that wasn't ordinary. “I found it the last day I stepped foot in her father's home. That day, I wept even as the man that I was and vowed to find her brother for her no matter what….but she disorganized everything and even found him herself….” he dropped the envelope on the floor and stood up.He had known that Lena had a lost brother but hid it because he planned to surprise her with her family, only to get stabbed by her master's mate that he also cared for.“If I had known th
CHAPTER 35 Elena was tossed into a little hut-like room. She groaned when her arm hit the floor, wincing silently in pain. Sending her hot saliva down her throat, she opened her eyes to see Beta Tyrion squatting before her—sending shivers down her spine. She gasped and shifted backwards, pointing her fingers at him. “Aren't you supposed to be dead? What are you doing here? Who was executed, if not you?” her voice was shaky. She was sure if Tyrion was impersonated, then he must have done all that just to deal with her like he promised. He grinned, tapping his index fingertip on the floor. “Ridiculous? “ he shook his head. “She seems astounded….” she stood up and gripped his jacket. “You fucking think I will have to die because of you? Why should I when I've been on my master's side before he met you….and then I will be the one to pass on because of you huh?”She bit her bottom lip. “Stop claiming to be the victim when you are the culprit—” she exhaled deeply. “If you didn't offend you
CHAPTER 34 “My feet are so damn bruised now…” Lena lifted her leg, seated on the floor, while checking her foot. She had pulled off her footwear when she found it difficult to run faster, but now, she was regretting it. “I will wait until it's healed before I continue…” she mumbled and positioned her bag to use it as a pillow, and then she laid down.Looking into the sky, she exhaled deeply, reminiscing on Alfred and how she had left without saying goodbye. However, she believed it was better, so they won't want to stop her or come after her. But then, one thing still baffles her—why he passed out when she touched her.She had never experienced such a thing before, and her wolf was saying nothing about it.“My baby—” she sniffled. “He must be crying now. I can hear his cries…” she blinked and turned over to lie on her side. She was already in the streets, but couldn't tell where exactly she was. It looked so calm, and people were barely walking around, or maybe she was still at the t
CHAPTER 33 Ten minutes later, a splash of water awoke Alfred. His eyes sprang open when he noticed he was lying on the floor. Gently, he sat up to meet his mother, who kept staring at him. She was stunned to see him lying on the floor after waiting for him to show up in the kitchen.Alfred wiped his face. “Mum!!” he swallowed softly, winking. “Where is Elena?”The elderly woman glanced around. “Shouldn't I be asking you?”He gazed at his mother's face. Something was odd about him. There's a feeling that had never ignited in him since he knew himself as a living being. “Are you okay? There are lots of customers to serve. How did you end up here?” she stood up, grasping her apron. “I was waiting for you but didn't see you, so I decided to serve them all before searching for you….”He made a long face. “Really? Are they more important to you than my whereabouts?” he forced himself to stand, dusting his clothes. “You didn't see me and wanted to serve your customers first. What if I was
CHAPTER 32 “Get the two bowls and serve them….” Alfred referred to Lena, who was stretching her hips. She had worked all day, serving people in the tavern owned by the family that had saved her. It's just a night, and she already felt at home. Each time she sets her eyes on the young man who had the same looks and birthmark as her, she feels there is another family left, but one thing still baffles her…..who was that guy exactly? Several times, she had inquired….but he insisted that they never met for once and he was part of the family that brought him in. His father was dead….he was just left with a mother and no siblings. To think of it, why doesn't he have the same looks as his mother? All those had haunted her throughout the night. She woke up several times at midnight and took a good look at the guy.Something was also weird about him. His mother was a human, and he was a werewolf—but a powerless wolf. He doesn't have a scent either. It seemed his wolf was suppressed and wasn'
CHAPTER 31 The sun was setting, and Lena was yet to leave the woods. She had walked throughout the night until she passed the border but had yet to enter the lively area of the next pack. She felt exhausted and sat under a tree, leaning on it to get some rest. She stared at the broad branches of the tree and scoffed. “I didn't even give my son a name. His father will now do that.” she was weak down to her feet, and she had nothing with her that would generate some energy for her.“I can get a wild fruit here—” she sat up and continued her journey, slowly searching for fruits that she would ingest to hold her for some time. Once she enters the lively part of the next pack, she would purchase food with the money she has. After a long walk, she was still unable to get a fruit within the space.Wiping her perspiration, she sat on the floor again. “I need just a little strength to enter the next pack—just a little one,” she murmured and landed with her back on the floor, placing her head
CHAPTER 30 One of the royal guards rushed to Alpha Dante the moment he alighted from his car. He shut the door and dipped the car key into his pocket. “Why are you panting?” his brows arched, gazing at the guard still.“Your Majesty, the maids seem to be fighting. The palace has been in a roar for about an hour now.” the guard narrated and lifted his head. “When I inquired what was going on, I was told that Mistress Evelyn had sneaked into the baby’s room and poisoned the meal….but unfortunately, she was caught by the new servant, Susan who had beaten her to a pulp.”Unexpectedly, Alpha burst into laughter. Now, he can tell why Lena wanted Susan inside the palace as one of her servants. He walked past the guard and entered the palace building, his palms dipped into his pockets. “Evelyn has always been cautious, but this time, she was reckless because her cup was full and was overflowing. I've had enough of them here…” he pondered as he walked straight into the hallway that connected
