Chapter 32

I had been asleep by the time Gianni had come in, and I had pretended to be asleep when he had left for his meeting in the morning.

I still wasn't sure how I wanted to handle the new information I had gotten, and I kept looking over at the clock hoping to figure it out before ten o'clock came around.

Luca hadn't said much and I assumed that was due to my attitude, it was clear I had no intentions of talking.

My actual plan was to find Talon and dog a little more, but I hadn't seen him since waking up.

I knew the girls who worked for Gianni lived in one of the houses on the property, but I wasn't sure if Luca would let me speak to them. I didn't want to ask him and risk alerting him if he was going to try and stop me from getting to the bottom of things.

"I'm going for a walk in the garden. I need to think, so please don't follow me. There are more than enough guards here to ensure I don't run off."

Luca nodded although it was clear he wasn't very happy with this.
