"I presume that's your lovely son you're talking to?" I teased him, loving the way his eyes flared angrily that I was spot on.

“Jake… Jake, isn't it weird that your son enjoys running into trouble all the time? I mean, one would think that with his level of exposure he wouldn't be dancing to a lady's tune." I mocked him.

This was the perfect example of a person wanted you, they would go an extra mile just to have you but now I was wiser.

"Don't you think that you are in too much pain because my son didn't think you were good enough for him?”
