Jasmine's POV.

I was completely knackered when I returned to the hotel. The gravity of the incidents that happened had a way of reconfiguring my mind. I wasn't sure that I wanted to continue having a back and forth with my parents. All I needed was a commitment from Mr Blackwood.

If it were up to me I would have ensured that we got married today so that I could move on with my plans. I didn't for the life of me understand why he was stalling. He had a waster for a son but wasn't going to admit it. I was the worst person to be betrayed because I was ready to deal with him as much as I wanted.

My phone buzzed the second time and I rolled my eyes. Despite knowing who could be calling I didn't want to show that I was anticipating his call. He was a proud man and the best way to deal with such people was to walk in that same way.
