Seven

Jasmine's POV.

The sound of people talking animatedly woke me up and I groaned as I tried to understand what the hell was happening. I looked at the television and saw a few reporters arguing over the GDP and whatnot.

I hissed, reached for my phone and unlocked it with my fingerprints. It was still a few minutes shy of noon. I had slept for so long. A good three hours.

I forced myself to go into the bathroom and wash myself clean of the previous escapades. Who would have thought that I would proposition a man? Not just any man, my father in-law!

Now that I thought about it, it sounded so weird to me and I was a bit worried for what this could mean.

It wouldn't be an easy task convincing him to agree to my terms and conditions, seeing that he was probably straight-laced and would see this as a mess. I just wanted to get back at Jake but I wanted it to be in a way that he left expected. I knew that he would have been shaking in his boots after hearing this but I wished I was there to capture the incident.

Gwen would probably be losing it and I smiled at that, it would blow her mind that I was alive and well despite the last state they saw me.

Now, that led me to my next plan.

How did I get in their faces? I needed a daily or weekly interaction with them to remind them of my presence. That would also destroy everything that they had been building

Jake had lusted after me last night, playing this to my advantage had to be the right way to go.

Thirdly, how the hell would a father want to go against his son? After knowing that I wasn't here for a good cause?

I had to hire a private detective to show me all their moves thus helping me know how to move about this and not hit the rocks on my way.

I finished showering and walked out in my birthday suit. I had to place an order for lunch, my stomach was already revolting in hunger. It must probably want to kill me, if it had the chance.

I ordered lunch from room service.

"Oh... Thank you. That's strange but I didn't order that." I replied softly.

"Yeah, change the order. Just some waffles would be nice. Accompany it with some Merlot please." I ordered.

It was not the right order but I didn't mind. I didn't want anything that would make me feel bloated. I was also watching my weight. After all that drinking, just something light would do.

That reminded me of making an appointment at the hospital.

Three hours later, after eating and surfing through the net, my eyes caught a picture on a blog. I clicked on it and chuckles when I saw myself getting into Rafael's car. Hmm, the media was going to have a field day today.

This shoot rattle Jake. He was the one having a wedding, while I was trending. Gwen would probably feel like killing me but I hoped that she didn't still consider that because it wouldn't work out for her. I was going to make sure that she regretted all her actions. There was absolutely no way that she could go scot-free.

*WHO IS THE NEW LADY?*

*RUMORS HAVE IT THAT SHE WAS THE LADY THAT HE WAS SET TO MARRY A FEW YEARS AGO.*

Various headlines were sprayed all over the net but I was happy and content as I lay on my bed.

I called the manager of this hotel.

"Hello, Mr. Troy... I'm sure that you have read the news. I don't want me location to be disclosed." I told him. I wasn't paying handsomely for him to sell my location to the highest bidder. I wanted them to keep on being confused while I walked in their midst.

"Miss Jasmine, you have nothing to fear. I will ensure premium security. I just have something to ask. If the cops search for you, we will have no choice than to give you up."

I chuckled softly as I thought of his words. "I'm not a drug Baron so you have nothing to worry about. Just do what I say and I'll triple your money."

"I will." He promised.

Of course he would, that was how the world worked. Money made the world go round.

"Thank you. Now, I would also need a chef to make my meals for at least a week," I spoke, deliberately misleading him. I was leaving here in two days but wanted optimum security.

Gwen was vengeful so I didn't believe that she would allow me to go all the way with my plans without sending people after me to take me out.

As I was thinking, I heard a knock on the door and rose. Thinking that it was room service again, I headed to the door and peeped through the hole.

It was a man backing the door. I refused to answer.

Until I heard another knock again, I peeped through the hole again and saw room service standing outside.

Something was fishy. I refused to open up.

I lay on my bed and pretended not to be aware of anyone's presence somewhere. Well, that was how it was supposed to go. Afterwards, I would take care of all of that. For now, there was no time for nonsense.

My phone buzzed and I stared at a strange number. "Hello?"

"Hi, I'm outside the Hotel, My bodyguard is in front of your room. You've refused to open up." Mr. Blackwood responded.

"What?"

"Yeah. You said you had some special information, let's go for a drive." He replied.

"Hmm... Does that mean you agree to my terms?" I asked hopefully.

"We can't do such business over the phone. Dress sexy. I'll be waiting for you." He ordered in a low commanding voice which sent chills down my spine.
