CHAPTER SIXTY NINE

Ethan's POV

I got back to the office after about an hour's drive around the city. I feel a bit more grounded after the ride. I take the elevator to my office, foregoing the stairs. I hope Alexia has stopped crying. I hated seeing her cry. What I hate more however, is knowing I am the cause of her tears.

Her tears makes my guts wrench in discomfort.

The moment the elevator stops at my floor and I stepped out, I noticed how the staffs were giving me a wide bert making me remember Alexia commenting on it when we came to work together the other day.

I pay them no mind as I continued on to my office. I stumbled to a halt when I don't see Alexia at her desk. Where could she possibly be? I wondered. She probably went back home or to her brothers house because she was distrust and couldn't stand the sight of me. I thought with no small amount of self loathing.

Despite knowing she may not want to speak to me, I still find myself slipping my phone from my pocket and dialing her number. It rang
