....

Even though I purposely took my time, at 10 am, the traffic was still jammed. Usually, my shift ends as early as 8 am but somehow it's 10 am, and I am on my way home in my withered car hoping it doesn't break down before I get home...

Upon getting to my apartment, I needed no seer to tell me that Selena has joined Zeoy, the sound of music coming from my apartment as I input my password. The smell of fresh food filled my nostrils as I walked straight to lay on my floor.

"What is wrong?' The worried voice of Selena approached me lying on the floor with worry on her face. I immediately pretended to cry as I raised my hand towards her. She smiled and kicked me as she went back with a kitchen spoon in her hand.

"What happened to you? Exhausted?" Zoey asked, sitting beside me as she lowered the soft music, completely turning on the television instead.

"How was work?" she asked as I noticed she was eating peanuts, I dragged myself up to sit beside her as I hissed. How do I bring up work without them doubting me? How do I explain that I was indeed not dreaming or hallucinating?

"Work was devious," I said, making my way to the tiny kitchen area to see what Serena was making, mostly because I wanted to ask her something.

"Devious? Hope they are not bullying you?"

"Am not 18 anymore, I can't be bullied now," my voice was weak as I stood beside her.

"Selena," I began unsure of how to phrase my words "You read a lot of fantasy stories right? Like supernatural brings," I began as she paused to look at me, the arch in her brows showcasing her suspicions.

"Yes, I do.... Do you want recommendations?" she asked after a while with a bright smile.

"Of course, I read them, you and Zoey tease me for it all the time, but to be specific I only read romance. Fantasy romance," she winked nudging my shoulder with a knowing smile.

"Erotical especially," she said, covering her mouth.

"Ewwe," I said with irritation as she continued to stir the pot.

"I don't want recommendations if that's what it is about. This is a different situation." I shut down her imagination as she frowned.

"Is this about your dreams?" she drops the spoon to stare at me, at this point, Zeoy joined with a teasing smile on her face. She has teased me so much for this same issue.

"Yes for my dream," there was no point trying to convince them it wasn't a dream, nobody will ever believe it if only they could witness it themselves.

"I told you she hasn't stopped talking about this strange man," Zeoy said giggling.

"Are you sure everything is fine?" Selena asked concerned as she began to dish out the fried rice she made.

"Will you allow me to ask the questions or not?" I asked, annoyed.

"Of course, although giving you my books to read will be better but go on," she finally agreed, going quiet as they both stared at me waiting for my question.

"So what type of creatures are in your books?" I finally asked, forcing a smile.

"Since you asked nicely, there are demons, fairies, faes, werewolves, dragon lords, warlords, and my personal favorites, Vampires and Lycans," Nothing she said made sense. Once I tried to read one of her books I couldn't take anything seriously so I dropped it.

"So which of them did you see in your dreams recently?" she asked with a smile.

"There are more creatures, to be honest..."

"He is just normal, nothing is different about his physical appearance there is something about his appearance. He is so good-looking it's almost a crime, his face is not too masculine nor feminine, have I spoken about how sharp his jaws seem, his eyes golden brown but definitely changes colors when he is in his demon mood. Am very sure of what I saw. He speaks as if he is casting a spell. Although he seems normal, he definitely isn't..." I finally came to my senses to see the confused look on their faces.

"You are telling me this is supposed to be a bad thing?" Zoey finally broke the silence as Selena cleared her throat.

"So what does this man in your dream want from you?" She asked as I stopped and thought about it for a while.

"I don't know yet but he is evil, I am sure of it, he abducts women," I said as they nodded.

"You should have said that instead of going on and on about how good-looking he is," Zeoy said as Selena nudged her to keep quiet.

"If he is like you explained, I would want him to abduct me too," Selena added, pushing a plate of food toward me.

"This is not about how good-looking he is, I don't know why that is what everybody seems to care about, what I am saying is he abducts women, and if someone does nothing he will continue," They both stared at me like I was crazy as I was getting worked up.

"I understand how you are feeling, I am sorry for not taking you seriously," Selena said as she stopped laughing.

"Is just that you just broke up with your boyfriend and dreaming about a man we bought just thought it was perhaps a coping mechanism," listening to her I began to remember that truly I just broke up. Is crazy how this man I know nothing about, I don't even know his name has managed to make me forget everything else but worry.

"Since it's in your dream and from our conversation, it's a constant recurrence, how about try and follow him, ask him to abduct you instead of the woman, since it's a dream nothing bad will happen right? You might even be mistaken," Zeoy butted in even though I know what they are doing.

Trying to make me not feel bad since I have been on edge lately, somehow her words comforted me. I just can't seem to have anything right. I really need to pay my mother's hospital deposit and I do not want to be dependent on my friends just because they are rich. This tiny apartment I live in is all thanks to them. I can't shamelessly ask them for a favor to pay for their own mother.

As for my own ex-boyfriend, surprisingly it doesn't hurt anymore, in fact, I don't even think of him, I guess I wasn't really as in love as I thought I was. Or just for some reason my brain has decided not to think about it.

"You need to eat and sleep dear, you remember you still need to go to work in the evening," Selena said as I smiled, finally stuffing my mouth with a spoonful of rice. The flavor made me almost roll my eyes.

"This is really good," I whispered to Zeoy who nodded in agreement.

"This is Aunt's recipe right?" she asked her cousin who nodded.

"I think it's about them you open a restaurant," I suggested to her while he smiled

"It's not a bad idea, right next to your flower shop," She added as I nodded agreeing.

"And me with a tattoo shop," Zeoy chipped in as we laughed.

We three have something we all love apart from our salary paying jobs. At the moment Zeoy is unemployed but before now she had worked in her mother's art gallery as a curator. While Selena works at her father's company as a senior staff. I on the other hand is trying to work my way into becoming a full-time worker.

But apart from all of this, Zeoy wants to open a tattoo shop because of her passion for the art, selena loves cooking and I on the other hand wants to open a flower shop....
