Cirilla's point of viewI hummed to the rhythm of the music playing loudly in my ears, trying to get distracted by the music and my drawing. Even though my efforts have been futile. The recent days have been unpleasant for me, coupled with the weird and bothersome dreams, more like nightmares I had been having. Flashes of nonhuman creatures chasing me.At first, I thought it was just a dream, but I was not certain of that anymore. I'm starting to rethink that theory. It felt like it was more than a mere dream like they were missing pieces from my memory. But that's impossible, maybe I was just being paranoid with the fact that I still couldn't remember what happened the other night.I placed the black colored pencil on the bed, gripping the yellow colored pencil, and bringing it to the sketchbook. I skillfully mixed it with a shade of orange, and after a while, I was done. Pulling it up, I stare intently at the image I had drawn. It was a picture of a figure. A man. He was unique and somewhat familiar. But I have never seen him. What intrigued me most about him was the flames that danced on his skin, and it appeared like nothing to him. I couldn't make out the features of his face. The flames made his face hazy and unclear. His gaze was a bright shade of piercing yellow, or was it golden? It was difficult to tell. I had never met him, yet that image has managed to stalk my dreams these past few days. There was a certain familiarity that I couldn't begin to fathom.I broke my gaze from the image. Staring at my phone. I gaped at the time in horror, I was fucking behind the clock and running late on my first day of school.I clutched my bag. Diving my books, sketchbook, purse, and phone into it. I buzzed to the kitchen and grabbed a muesli bar and a banana. Hastily exiting the house. It was a blessing mum wasn't home. I didn't even know when she left this morning. It has been a week now since we moved to Beaverton town. So far, it was just there. I haven't had the time to explore the town. I had more important things on my mind, like admitting myself into the town's high school and finding a job to support myself as usual.I munched down the last bite of my breakfast, then my phone vibrated with a message notification. I scrolled through my messages, going through my unread pile. An interview schedule popped up on my screen. It was at a bar I had stopped by two days ago, and I was scheduled for an interview with the manager right after school. As soon as I reached school, I went through the hallways. I found the admin office and walked in.The lady on the desk tilted her head and eyed me up from beneath her long lashes."Yes?"Well, that was polite."I'm Cirilla Bane, it's my first day," I told her.Lazily, she shuffled through her occupied desk and pulled out a map and class schedule. She handed it to me and without saying anything, she went back to her more important job of filing her nails. Thanks for the damn hospitality!I can't believe they actually pay her!I navigated my way through the enormously large school. I got lost on my way to class. I found my first class, being twelve minutes late. I rushed in, apologizing and introducing myself to the teacher. He pointed at an empty seat at the back for me. I settled into my seat while dumping my bag on the ground. The lesson began, and I barely paid attention to the teacher. Going through my class schedules. I studied the map trying to get a head over it, to avoid the embarrassment of walking into class late.I began scribbling the meanings of some words taught by the teacher. I was engrossed in my action, but I felt it. It was hard not to. Growing up I tended to be sensitive and alarmed by my surroundings, and right now I felt a heated gaze, boring holes at the back of my head. I found that impolite and utterly annoying.Slightly, I turned around, my eyes locking instantly with a pair of chartreuse eyes. They were deep and sharp. He had a well-defined jawline and brilliant yellowish hair that stood out. Falling messily in a perfect symmetry slightly above his shoulders. It gave him a manly, yet beautiful look. For a split second, we stared at each other. His eyes twinkled. He pressed his lips together gently, the muscles around his cheekbones and jaw visibly relaxed and a small lip-tight smile cut through his lips.I offered a smile of my own just to be polite. I pulled my gaze away, back to the scribbling on my book. But I could still feel his bothersome gaze on me.I made it through a few classes and was glad as hell it was lunchtime. I had no appetite for that, lately everything that got into my mouth tasted bland. Instead, I decided to explore the school so I wouldn't embarrass myself as I did earlier today. I found the venue for some of my classes and even toured around the library and the school gym. I still had some minutes before lunch finished, not feeling like doing anything. I took out my sketchbook and sat out on the school lawn, getting soaked by the sun. I took the chance to look around, noticing an extremely large proportion of cute-looking guys with perfect masculinity and the whole package. The girls were also a beauty.Lunchtime was over. I got up and made my way to my next class. A hand suddenly grabbed my arm. Instinctively, I spun around fast, freeing myself from his hold. It was the weird guy from my class."Hi!" He stared at me, pulling out a grin. A deep wide grin. His deep chartreuse eyes scanned me diligently. Before I could respond, he pulled my sketchbook out. "You dropped this" He had a rich, deep smile, and those eyes held mine cautiously as if intrigued and at the same time studying me."Thanks!" I collected my sketchbook, plastering a fake small smile."We take chemistry together""Yeah! I noticed you" It was really hard not to. He gave me weird vibes."I'm sorry for creeping you out in class. It's just that you're very pretty," He complimented with a bright brilliant smile.Well, that was bold. "Thanks""I'm Niko."I nodded, and he stared at me, expecting me to say something.I mentally rolled my eyes. "I'm Ciri...Cirilla actually, but most people call me Ciri"He smiled. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you…" He paused, "...Ciri""Yeah. Thanks again" I made my way to my next class. Thankfully, I strutted in before the teacher. I slumped into one of the seats beside the window.I got a tap on my shoulder, tilting my head sideways. I was faced with the most beautiful girl I had ever met. Her honey-iced, brown eyes complimented her white, flawless skin and her long brown hair. If beauty had a face, then I swear it would be her."Hi there! I'm Lyra, "she chirped. Even her voice was sweet and melodious. She stuck out her hand."Cirilla" I grabbed her hand in a handshake."I've never seen you around here. Believe me, I never forget a face""I'm new here. My first day actually" I told her, leaning lightly on the table to get a better view of her."Well then, welcome to Beaverton High" She flung her hands in the air, dramatically. I couldn't help but break a smile. She was cute."I know every damn thing around here, so if you want to know anything I'm the right girl to ask" Her smile was genuine.I nodded at her, smiling. The teacher roved in and began the class. After class was over, I reached for the door and headed to my locker. I stashed some books in it, locking it."Hi, Cirilla!" I was stoned to see her again. Lyra."Lyra. Did you need something?" I asked unsurely."No. Yes actually. I wanted to invite you out since you are new in town. I'm heading to the mall and it'll be nice if you come along" Her eyes fell expectantly on mine.I didn't know how to say this without sounding like my usual blunt and bitchy self. "I'm sorry, but I have plans already," I said flatly."Oh" Her eyes dropped, and then it beamed again. "I guess another time. See you later Ci" She kissed my cheeks and literally hopped away.I glanced at the time. Oh, shoot! The interview.*****NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA(Crescent Moon's Pack)Asher's Point Of ViewHmmm. I moaned. Gently I moved my head buried in the pillow. I moaned deeper, loving the sensual sensation that paced up and down the skin on my back. I turned around. My eyes roamed down the naked body of the she-wolf next to me. She moved her dainty body to mine. Her bare skin rubbed against mine. She pinned her hips to my waist, slowly moving against me.I moaned at the intense sensual building down there. Her lips pressed on mine. I enjoy the sultry kisses for a while before retreating away. I didn't have the strength to take on more than I could handle. We had a couple of drinks last night. One thing led to another and here she was completely naked in my bed. It was bright outside and apparently, I had overslept.I stretched from the bed. My eyes fell on the she-wolf on the bed. "Thanks for last night Zoey"Before she could reply, I pulled away from the sheets. My naked ass headed into the bathroom for a shower. I slid under the running shower. It races from my hair and soaks my body in one refreshing rush. I rubbed on my arms, chiseled bare chest and my torso attempting to rid myself of last night's sweat.By the time I was out, Zoey was gone. I was glad she didn't need me to spell it out for her. Whatever happened between us was just plain sex and nothing more. No strings attached. I plucked out black jeans and a blue V-neck shirt to begin the day. I had a heap of things to tend to today.I strode out of the room, located on the top floor of the mansion. I ambled down to the kitchen, totally famished and in need of anything that could quell the insane hunger in my stomach."Good morning Aunt Lizzy" I kissed her cheeks as she bustled past me heading to the Alpha's office in haste."Morning sweetie!" She replies absentmindedly. So unlike her. Something was up.I tailed behind her in a chase. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"She gripped my muscular arm, tugging me into the Alpha's office with her. Everyone was gathered for a meeting. I made a quick greeting to everyone. I walked with her to where Uncle Xavier was seated. Aunt Lizzy, the Pack's delta-female, took a seat and I stood behind her. Uncle Mitch, the Pack's beta, was seated at the Alpha's table. Opposite him was the Pack's head Coven witch, Aunt Rhona. Next to her, leaning against the royal blue wall was the French quarter head witch, Uncle Benjamin.Aunt Gabi, the Pack's beta female, and Uncle Mitch's mate was seated on the long couch along with Aunt Neela, a witch. And her chosen mate, Uncle Declan, the head Vampire of the Eastern Vampire Coven. Aunt Allegra was leaning on the armchair closest to the door. She was Uncle Benjamin's chosen mate and a vampire warrior. She was a badass. Theo was pinned on the armchair next to Aunt Rhona's. As the day passed, he looked more like the future Alpha of the Crescent Moon's Pack.Theo was the Alpha Hybrid's second child. Half-vampire and half-wolf. He also inherited some of the Luna queen witch's blood. But he is more inclined to his wolf and vampire part. Though I was two years older than him, he had broad shoulders and the masculinity of a strong warrior. But still, he was like a baby brother to me. And I could see why the Alpha Hybrid and Luna queen always held him in high regard.I pondered involuntarily, my thoughts dwelling on my father. Before I let sadness and resentment swim through, I was quick and smart to abandon it and the melancholy vibe it always brought."There's been another death" Uncle Mitch's hoarse voice broke through. He wasn't one to beat around the bush. There was a sharp intake of air and quiet gasps."Who was it this time?" There was an uncomfortable, and eerie emotion that dangled in Uncle Xavier's words."An Elder witch. Elder Elona" Aunt Rhona spoke up, quietly. They all had frightful gazes but were not shocked. For some years now, there have been mysterious deaths occurring in the magical world. Whatever or whoever was behind this, unfortunately, has been taking down powerful high-ranking officials from different magical kinds. A month ago, it struck the Faes kingdom. Two weeks ago it claimed the life of the black panther queen. And now an Elder witch.I shook my head listening more."Her body had the same mark as the others." Uncle Mitch informed us."No one is safe any longer" Aunt Lizzy mumbled, but we all could hear her."The Luna is still at Wiscon. It seems like she found something from Cyrene. And a meeting has been called by the Council" Uncle Mitch added again."Is the Alpha Hybrid aware of the meeting?" Uncle Benjamin's cool voice sounded. There was a short mute silence."I sent word to Carter and Blake to inform him. He has his hands full at the moment" Uncle Mitch rasped.Everyone nodded, as if thinking of his last words. Uncle Cameron was the Alpha Lord of our kind. Also known as the Alpha Hybrid. Half Alpha, and half Vampire. He was respected as the Alpha of all Alphas. He was turned magically into a vampire by the French quarter witches at the age of six when the Pack was in some danger. But it was all behind us now.I sighed, just thinking of it brought back feelings I didn't want to feel. It reminded me of my unruly fate. The meeting was concluded. Aunt Rhona and Uncle Benjamin would be attending the Council meeting in Nevada.I strode out with Theo. My hands shoved into my jeans pocket. He seemed deep in his thoughts. His rich, silky jet black hair hovered slightly above his thick black brows. His golden eyes stared blankly into space. He was a sculpted image of Uncle Cameron and was growing more into him. He had Aunt Davina's perfect and immaculate face. Upon the thought of the Luna Queen, her beautiful face conjured in my head. I smiled. The first few years I moved to the Crescent Moon's Pack, she made it bearable for me. She made the sadness of being tossed aside by my father, and Alpha to the Black Blood Pack bearable. She was a pure-blooded witch, who had experienced lots of pain and sadness. I was told she died many years ago during a war. But her mate, Uncle Cameron turned her into a vampire and now she's part vampire but still has her witch powers"Things are getting more fucked up bro" Theo's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. His worrisome gaze met mine. Theo had never been one to talk so much. I watched him grow since he was three. It was sad to see the familiar sadness that had tormented me for years in his gaze. He usually masks it underneath his expressionless demeanor. Theo had recently turned sixteen. But he matured in every aspect. I could see the heavy burdens he carried, and there was nothing I could do to help alleviate them.Growing up I watched this same sadness in his eyes envelope Uncle Cameron and Aunt Davina. They had lost their eldest child many years ago. Or rather, she was stolen from them before she was born. It was some serious dark witchcraft. That sadness had dwelt with the entire Pack for seventeen years now.Frankly, no one knew if the lost princess was still alive or not. But they never stopped searching for her. Uncle Cameron spends every second of his existence scattering the earth in search of the people who took her and Theo had to step up at a young age as the next in line Alpha."Asher----" I turned to Theo."It'll be alright Theo." I tried sounding optimistic. Finding it hard to believe my own words. I doubted things would ever be alright. How could we fight something that we didn't know? What's worse was that it was attacking high-ranking officials. No one was safe. And I could understand Theo's worry. It was certainly called for. Aunt Davina often visited but has been away in Wiscon with the witch Cyrene, a witch, blessed with the gift of foresight. Theo was just still a child who was worried about his parents while pretending he was strong.Uncle Mitch and Aunt Gabi's sons, Daryl and Carl joined us as we crossed the meadow and moved to the large training ground. Carl had a twin, Louis; they were Uncle Carter and Aunt Lizzy's precious sons.We reached the training ground. The smell of sweat lingered around. Warriors from different supernatural kinds sparring with each other. The Crescent Pack had an Elite team composed of several warriors from different kinds and races. That was the best part about the Crescent Moon Pack, it welcomed all supernatural beings irrespective of their kind or race. We had werefoxes, black panthers, weretigers, vampires, wolves, witches, and many more.I sighted Jesse and Malia training. They were only training, but Malia as usual fought with strong zeal and vigor. No wonder why she was the best female warrior, second best to Theo and I. And the adopted daughter of Uncle Benjamin and Aunt Allegra. She was a were-coyote and a member of the Elite team. In a second, she had Jesse, one of the finest warriors pinned to the ground.I smirked at her."Geez. Someone, please tell them this is a training ground and not a fucking motel!" I turned my attention to Shirley. Daryl's younger sister. "Get a room you two!" She yelled over her shoulders to Louis who was sucking the face of a random she-wolf.She joined us with Amy and Kayla. She was a replica of Aunt Gabi."I can't believe he's your brother. How can you both look the same but with two opposite personalities" Kayla plopped on Carl's lap. They weren't mates but a couple. Kayla was Uncle Declan and Aunt Neela's daughter. She was taken in by them after she lost her parents in the war.Malia and Uncle Xavier's son, Eric approached us."So do you have any plans for tomorrow's birthday girl? Amy, the chirpy and quirky one asked in glee. Her eyes took in Malia's every movement. She was Uncle Cole and Aunt Rosalie's daughter. All eyes fell on Malia. Everyone knew exactly how the savage queen planned to spend her day, just like every other birthday. She would be eighteen tomorrow. She was feminine in every way. She had the perfect curves, a wide ass, and a full chest. But she hated things like parties, and every other girlie thing the girls liked to engage in. She rather preferred to be locked up in the field training and getting butts kicked."Nothing special. Just the normal routine" She dropped, stealing a bottle of water from Eric's brother, Enzo. He was a vampire, adopted by Uncle Xavier and his mate, Aunt Sloane."Hey, Mal. I was drinking that!" Enzo rasped, attempting to grab the bottle back."You can have it" She tossed the bottle back at him, after drinking from it.Enzo scoffed. "That was mine to begin with...""You're welcome""Enough with the bickering you two!" Amy shrieked. Those two were like cats and dogs. Tom and Jerry. Always at war with each other."Hmm. Hmm…."Kayla shook her head sideways in a disapproving manner. She was up from Carl's lap. "My dear savage queen. We will get you all dolled up and will be taking you out for a change."Malia groaned. Standing to her feet. But Louis was quick to block her path, sending her back to her seat."A new club is opening tomorrow night in town," Louis smirked with a sheen."For a change, you are useful" Shirley chimed. Louis rolled his eyes at her remark. "Then it's settled. Party tomorrow night!"Everyone giggled. But Malia groaned.I sent her an encouraging smile, my smile fading away as quickly as it came. I felt a churn deep within me like a beast waking from a deep slumber. Azalea. My demon counterpart. My fist clenched into a ball at his sudden words.'Blood!!!'BEAVERTON, OREGON(Black Blood Pack) Cameron's Point Of View Grief and sadness were two feelings that were not so foreign to me. It felt as if their very existence were carved out from my soul, like a ditch of dark holes deep within my heart. A hole that cannot be filled by anything that the world could offer.I thought of it at that time as a sad moment in life where you have to push through to the other side, but there was no pushing through, and there was most definitely not another side to this sadness, other than pain and more pain that I would have to get through every day. It was the only emotion that absorbed me. The more the years rushed by, and the world kept growing, it only got harder and impossible to deal with. I was aware of what the world thought of me, what everyone thought of me. They say I was nothing more than a saddened soul that has sold what little of his humanity to the devil.Well, I couldn't blame them. That wasn't exactly a lie. I had changed. Fuck! Who wo
BEAVERTON, OREGONCirilla's point of view The sharp sounds of heavy thud echoed in my ears, and my heartbeat skyrocketed. A wave of fear and panic crippled my insides and my breathing came out short and fast. I felt my body tremble, sharp pains building in my insides, and the frightful image of blazing red eyes crept into my mind, making me jerk up from my bed. The beeping of my alarm clock startled me. I turned it off, and glanced around my room, heaving a tired sigh of relief. It was only a dream. I breathed loudly, calming my nerves. Warm rays of the sun wandering in and instantly warming me up. It was only a dream, I repeated calmly, releasing another sigh. Rubbing my palm against my face, I leaned into it, getting a grip on myself as everything flashed through. I remember it vividly. Almost as if it was real. So real. The insane fear. The sharp piercing at the side of my stomach and the loud growlings of those beasts. And then the nonhuman figure that burned with flames. Everyt
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA (Crescent Moon's Pack) Asher's point of view I walked out from the Witches’ quarters. I just concluded my usual training exercise with Aunt Neela and Uncle Benjamin had left with Aunt Rhona for the Circle's meeting in Nevada. Once I reached my room, I showered and got dressed in casual jeans and a black tee shirt that displayed part of my tattoo on my arms and neck. It was evening already. I walked to the Packhouse. "Hey Asher!" Amy hopped to me, linking her arms to mine. She was finely dressed in a short lavender single-strap dress. She had makeup on and looked like a doll on display. "Ooh. Stop drooling. You are giving me the butterflies" She fake-slapped my hard rock chest, jokingly. Then Eric, Enzo, Carl, and Louis came up to us. They were smartly dressed. I raised my brows. Was I missing something? Their confusion was etched on their faces as well. "Am I missing something?" I asked, confused. "What are you wearing man?!" Daryl came up behind us. H
CARSON CITY, NEVADA (The Wiscon Palace) Davina's point of view I was seated next to Cyrene's delicate figure, watching her as she slept peacefully, while I gently stroked her gray-white hair with her head firmly resting on my lap. She looked so calm, and at peace. There was a special kind of tranquility that fell on her. I brushed back the gray locks of hair that fell on her face. It was unbelievable how time flew so fast, how fast the years had changed everyone. It affected everyone so badly, and Cyrene was not left aside. Being a witch who was gifted with the ability to foretell the future, she had it as worse as any of us. My fingers brushed the freckles on her cheeks, she didn't even stir as much, the spell I had cast on her drifted her to deep slumber. She needed it badly. The tender skin around her eyes as usual had dark circles, one formed over time from stress and the constant use of her powers. But Cyrene still looked the same exactly as she did when I first met her
Cirilla's point of view "Hey, Jaxon!" I bellowed behind me, strutting my way to the locker. It was Friday night and I had just reported for my night shift at the bar in town. Quickly, I had changed into a work outfit. I pulled out my phone quickly, sending a brief text to Niko. He was out of town. He left school abruptly today, saying something urgent came up at his family house somewhere in Nevada. I met with Jaxon at the counter, he was pouring in some drinks for some customers. "You are a minute early," He said to me and I smiled. It has only been a short time since I started working here, but Jaxon and I have gotten kind of close. I think my social skills were improving by the day. Jaxon dark skin like rich chocolate brushed past mine, moving to serve some customers while I took my position at the counter. I scanned around the bar. It had an average number of people. It was only a matter of time before people began to rush in nonstop. Plus it was Friday night which for some re
Cirilla's point of view I woke up earlier than usual the next day. Frankly, I couldn't sleep. The thoughts of the stranger at the alley kept me awake throughout the night. I can't stop thinking about him. And the unspeakable chemistry between us was undeniable. I groaned into my pillow. Unable to decide yet if I should take him up on his date or not. I dug my head into the soft pillow, recollecting everything that happened last night. Weirdly, I loved the pull that existed between us. I wouldn't mind experiencing it again. What could probably go wrong? I guess I had just decided. I'm going on a date. I raced to my closet in search of something nice to wear. I realized I was in a conflict between jeans and a cropped shirt. and a short dress. I didn't want to dress less or too much. Quickly I grabbed my phone, texting Lyra who's much capable of managing this crisis. 'I've got a date. Don't know what to wear' I entered the send button, perching on the edge of the bed. In short second
Cirilla's point of view I woke up in the morning and headed out to school. I was almost there when my phone beeped loudly. A message. From Niko. He still wasn't back in town from his trip to his family house in Nevada. I released a small smile, reading through his message. 'Won't be back till tomorrow. Take care Ciri. Please be safe!' A warm feeling enveloped my heart. It was nice to know that someone cared for me. I kept walking to school and a few more minutes later I was there. I headed straight to class. My eyes silently scanned the hallways for Lyra and the guys. I honestly couldn't believe how well we all clicked. It's a sheer wonder to me. I never had so many friends before. Back then I just didn't care. Mum and I were always on the move anyway. No point in establishing any sort of relationship. But now things had changed. I had friends, to begin with, and there was Mason. I jerked alarmed when someone grabbed my shoulder out of the blue. I swerved instinctively, my b
Cirilla's point of view "Pretty pretty please" I dared not looking at her. Especially when she had her adorable puppy dog eyes on display. I didn't need anything that will alter my decision. "I'm sorry Lyra. I have a heap of things to do tonight" I lied smoothly. Hoping she doesn't prod any deeper. I literally had nothing to do after my shift at the gym. I chose today as my weekly day off from the bar. But there was no way I will be attending the party to celebrate her brother's return back home. "But you don't have to work at the bar tonight" Her pleading voice reminded. I mentally groaned in frustration, wishing I never chose today as my day off. It would have been much easier if I actually had to work today. I finally turned to her. Her brown wavy hair dangling at both sides of her face. Her bulging chocolate eyes holding mine expectantly. "I'm sorry Lyra" I hate to break her heart. But it's a massive NO from me. "You don't have to stay for too long.
Asher's Point Of View My heart was pounding in my chest and I took deep breaths to calm it down.“Nervous?” Theo chuckled, placing a hand on my shoulder as we stared down the beautifully decorated aisle where Cirilla would be coming through any minute from now.“Nope,” I lied, my heart in complete chaos as I tried to steady my breathing. “Sure he is,” Wren voiced coldly, “He's a second from losing his shit,”I fought the urge to glare at him. “Get out of my head, demon,” My eyes remained fixed on the blank evening air. “Relax man! Just take a deep breath otherwise at the rate you'll end up having a heart attack the second you see her,” Stefan whispered from my left, and I couldn't tell if that was a warning or a piece of advice.“Enough, all of you. You're being too loud,” I refrained from shouting, keeping my voice low instead, and wondering why I chose all three of them to be my groomsmen. I should have gone with Daryl, Andy, and Cory instead.‘They are right though. Tune it down
Cameron's Point Of View Hastily, I flipped through the papers, going through them, and as soon as I was satisfied, I scribbled my signature at the bottom of the document, sealing a multibillion deal.I gently placed my fountain pen on the table, glancing up to see Trevor's face beaming with so much elation. “Happy now?” I smirked, getting off from my seat, and pinning together the suit jacket of my tux. “Hurry up and don't be late,” I told the smiling vampire, before strutting out of my office at Castle Corps. Today I had no choice but to step into town and close a deal we've been working on for several months now.I chuckled, as a smile stalked my lips. I couldn't just stop smiling. Today was a good day. The very best. I reached the elevator doors and pressed a button. As soon as it opened, I stepped through the door, at the same time, snapping my fingers, and instantly teleported myself to one of my penthouse suites in Louisiana.I glanced around the large suite and instantly my e
Asher's Point Of View“Just a little sec,” Louis yelled over the loud music playing in the bar as he kept shaking the bottle of wine. In one swift move, he flicked the top open and there was a loud popping sound followed by the dramatic mess of the alcohol pouring around.“Woah,” I heard Eric scream from a corner with a random female on his lap, while he kept chugging down one of the concoctions Louis had mixed the second the party started, and without mincing words, they were all clearly drunk.I groaned in frustration, bringing my fingers to block both of my ears as Amy, Shirley, Enzo, and Dorian were murdering Ava by Famy at a far corner which I clearly remembered wasn't even sung that way.I pulled my beer to my lips, taking a sip. I looked around from the dancing crowd and saw Julia and Wren sitting, also looking completely bored while Kayla and Carl were making out in the backseat booth of the bar, and Malia, Daryl, and Theo were unaccounted for.And here I was seated at one of
Cameron's Point Of ViewI knew it.There was nothing left inside of me. I was nothing more than an empty shell. I felt absolutely nothing but a pain in my heart. A darkness that loomed over every inch of my mind. Just patiently waiting until it finally took over every piece of me.It wouldn't be that bad to shut it all out. To rid myself of this pain that had filled the cavity in my soul, but one glance at Theo and my mate, reminded me I wasn't the only one suffering through it. They needed me. And I needed them. But I couldn't deny it. I also felt a little fear in the smallest crevice of my heart. We would never be okay. There was no way we would ever survive this loss.It was worse than knowing she was somewhere out there but we couldn't find her.Eighteen long years of never giving up. Of searching relentlessly for our little princess, and in the end she ended up in a coffin. It was the most distraught sight for a parent. It was never supposed to be like this. A parent should never
Cirilla's Point Of View For a second I felt a surge of excruciating pain starting from my chest right where the pointed edge of the phoenix blade pierced me, spreading through my bones, and it was as though my whole soul was being sucked into a funnel. But just when I thought the pain was about to get worse, darkness covered my vision, dominating the light around me. And I felt absolutely nothing. That was when I knew it without a doubt. I was dead.At the speed of light, everything that happened within the last minutes of my life flashed before my eyes and the last image of Asher's teary and broken gaze filled with so much pain and sadness tore me completely apart and without realizing, tears pooled out of my eyes. The hurt in his eyes was heartbreaking.I sobbed silently, and abruptly, the darkness that surrounded me began to fade into a blinding light that I had to shut my eyes.By the time I pulled my eyes open, I found myself in the middle of the worst scene of my life, or rathe
Asher’s Point Of View No!A growl resonated within my chest as Mason's words filled my mind. I just knew he was lying. He had to be. There was no way Cirilla's death had to be the end of him. That couldn't be possible. The moon goddess couldn't be so cruel.I did everything to break out from whatever effect Mason's magic had on me, keeping me frozen. But I couldn't. I could barely feel Ryker anymore and even Azalea's strength had weakened greatly from the fucking veil in the sky, blocking out our powers.I could neither connect with Cirilla through our mate bond. Instead, I was forced to watch the broken state she was in and witness her pain I couldn't stop the tears that filled my eyes as her blue eyes moved around and finally fell on mine.“Don't do this,” I begged. Mason was a lying bastard. There must be another way.But the look in her eyes was final. She had made up her mind.No Cirilla! The words echoed in my head but I couldn't get them out. Suddenly her eyes glowed brightly
Cirilla's Point Of View Growling, Nina charged to the surface, and using my magic I dug my claws into the ground creating a magical force of explosion that flung them around, giving those around some time before they would get to them.I glanced over my shoulder at Shirley. She was already in her wolf form and Kayla next to me panicked as these beasts were already bridging the distance between us.Shirley had lunged instantly at one when I heard her panicking cry from over my shoulder.I turned to her just in time to stop one of those things from clawing at her.“My magic!” She screamed, “Something's wrong! I can't use my magic. It's weakening,” “What?”“The boundary spells must be down. It's a veil, it's blocking out our magic, and every source of our powers, but I don't understand why it isn't affecting you,” Kayla rushed in fear.“Back to the mansion!” I yelled, releasing volts of magic at them but they seemed completely unaffected.Shirley and Kayla started for the route leading
Davina's Point Of ViewWe had almost all the ingredients we needed for the spell, including Sheila's blood. I don't know how Asula got it, but Sheila had no idea of what we were about to do. Asula had sent Rowena to retrieve the last piece of ingredients, and she was escorted by Kane and a few of his warriors. We had left the cottage and now followed the familiar trail to the ancient magic cave. And Rowena's constant mumbling was a crown on the insane frustration I felt. It took me every bit of self-control not to plunge the dagger in my boots into her chest and I kept reminding myself that I needed her just as much as she needed me to get out of there. Alive. So in the meantime, we were all we had. After hours of going around in circles in the forest, we finally found our way out, bursting out in the middle of a long narrow path, and up ahead seemed like a village. We moved hastily in the darkness, and using the single torch on a stick we managed to light up to see in the darkness. We trekked up the hills and burst into the village. I stopped in my tracks, and as expected there was no single soul in sight. But something else felt wrong. The place felt deserted.“Something doesn't feel right,” Suddenly, I felt a lit
