Chapter 83: Drowning

Without another word, I turned and ran away from the field, leaving behind my dreams and the life I had envisioned. Each step felt heavier than the last, but I didn’t look back. I couldn’t. The pain was already unbearable, a bleeding wound that cut to my very soul.
