Judith's POV,

I can't imagine driving without Amihan by my side. She's been such a constant presence in my life, and it's hard to imagine being on the steering without her. I've gotten so used to having her with me in the car, that it's difficult to imagine what it would be like to be on the road without her and our unending gist. On that Monday morning, I raced out of the house, frantically trying to catch up to Amihan's car as she was about to leave for work. I called out to her, waving my arms and trying to get her attention. But she was already pulling out of the driveway, and I was almost too late. Amihan had assumed I would be driving my car that morning, and so she didn't wait for me after breakfast.

As I approached her car, Amihan looked at me with a puzzled expression. 'Why aren't you using your ride?' she asked. I sighed and pouted my lips, trying to think of an explanation.

I gave her a sheepish grin,

Maxwell's POV, After Judith left, I felt dazed and overwhelmed with guilt. I knew she didn't deserve to be treated that way, and I wished I could find the right words to tell her how sorry I was for everything that had happened. I thought about going after her, but I knew it would only make her more upset. I didn't want to create a scene in the office or make the situation any worse than it already was. While we spoke in the canteen, I noticed that some of my coworkers were trying to eavesdrop on our conversation. They must have noticed that Judith was tense and were curious about what was going on. To try to calm the situation, I spoke in a low voice, hoping that no one else would hear what we were saying. The thought of Judith finding out that the woman I love is her best friend Amihan, and that I've chosen Amihan over her, fills me with dread. Would that make Judith finally let go and forgive me? What if it only made her hate me even more? I doubt Amihan would want to have anyt

Her eyes were red and puffy as if she had been crying. I got out of my car and approached her, my heart pounding with worries. “What's wrong, my dear?” I asked with concern, and she nodded, her eyes filling with tears once again. “Let's get in the car,” she said in a calm but tremulous voice, “I would rather not create a scene — my colleagues are coming out soon.”What happened?” I asked, my voice betraying my growing impatience and anxiety. I was ready to take on whoever had done this to her, be it a colleague or even the CEO himself. Judith was one person I wouldn't let anyone hurt. “It's my annoying colleague,” she said, her voice trembling as she struggled to hold back her tears. “What did he do?” I inquired, my curiosity growing stronger with every passing second. “I was blinded by my naïveté, believing t

Amihan's POV, As I walked into Anwil's premises on that sunny Tuesday afternoon, I noticed that something was off. The usually bustling office complex was eerily quiet, with hardly any people in sight. The atmosphere was one of stillness, as if time had stood still. The Company's complex was a far cry from the bustling hive of activity that it used to be when my parents were in charge. Now, it was as if the life had been sucked out of the building, leaving behind only an empty shell. “Hello, Miss Amihan,” Dalisay's secretary greeted me with a warm smile. “Hello,” I replied, returning her smile.“Mrs. Karl asked me to escort you to her office as soon as you arrived, since the other board members have not yet arrived for the meeting,” the secretary said, gesturing for me to follow her. Earlier that day, I called Dalisay to inquire about the date of the next board meeting, and I was relieved to learn that it was scheduled for the afternoon. “Hello, Mrs. Karl,” I greeted with a feign

I couldn't help but smile - she reminded me so much of my late best friend, Annabel. The financial secretary, her eyes scanning the crowd as she prepared to present her analysis. She was poised and professional, her confidence evident in the way she carried herself. Her voice was clear and strong as she began her presentation, her words carrying throughout the hall. She laid out the financial data for the past six months, painting a picture of the company's financial strength. I could feel the tension in the room, the air crackling with anticipation as she spoke. It was clear that everyone was hanging on her every word, eager to know what the numbers revealed. As I looked around the room, I saw disappointment and shock on the fac

Dalisay's pov, "I have decided to liquidate some of the assets to raise capital for the company," I declared solemnly as we sat down for dinner. The dining hall fell silent as my words hung in the air. My mom and Karl looked at me in disbelief, their mouths agape. They had no idea what to say. "I know this may come as a shock," I continued, "but it is a necessary step if we are to keep the company afloat. We must make sacrifices to ensure the future of the business." My mother's eyes widened in disbelief, her brows furrowed in concern. My husband's face was contorted with confusion, his mouth agape. They both looked at me as if I had just uttered blasphemy, their disbelief and skepticism palpable. I could tell they were not pleased with my announcement, but I was determined to remain resolute, knowing that this was the only way to ensure the company's survival."It's the best idea I can think of right now, " I took a deep breath as I continued to explain my reasoning, hoping the

Luciana's Pov, "What's going on, Dali?" I asked, my voice tight with irritation as I watched Karl excuse himself from the table after Dinner. It seemed odd that Dalisay would entrust such a significant task to Karl, especially given his lack of experience in real estate. I couldn't help but wonder if her change of heart was due to her growing affection for him, perhaps brought on by her pregnancy. Alternatively, she could have simply been feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of managing the family's properties and was looking for a way to offload some of the stress. But regardless of the reason, the decision to put Karl in charge was certainly a wrong one. "Mom, please don't start again, I thought we'd agreed to put this topic to rest," Dalisay said wearily, clearly exhausted. I could sense her frustration, but I couldn't let the matter go without some resolution."I just need to know, are you trying to give Karl more power than me in the company?"
