Amihan's POV,

As I walked into Anwil's premises on that sunny Tuesday afternoon, I noticed that something was off. The usually bustling office complex was eerily quiet, with hardly any people in sight. The atmosphere was one of stillness, as if time had stood still.

The Company's complex was a far cry from the bustling hive of activity that it used to be when my parents were in charge. Now, it was as if the life had been sucked out of the building, leaving behind only an empty shell.

“Hello, Miss Amihan,” Dalisay's secretary greeted me with a warm smile.

“Hello,” I replied, returning her smile.

“Mrs. Karl asked me to escort you to her office as soon as you arrived, since the other board members have not yet arrived for the meeting,” the secretary said, gesturing for me to follow her.

Earlier that day, I called Dalisay to inquire about the date of the next board meeting, and I was relieved to learn that it was scheduled for the afternoon.
