Amihan's POV.

"You are not very busy, are you?" I asked the moment I walked into Judith's room.

"You know very well that I am. But I have five minutes to spare if it’s important,” she said and glanced at the wall clock in her room.

“It is important,” I said and Judith raised a brow.

“Hey! It’s been a while since we hung out together,” I said and she scowled.

“And whose fault is that? You are almost always busy and you hardly ever have time for us,” she complained since I had been absent from two previous outings for the past three weeks because I was setting up my dad's real estate and the last Saturday I was on a date with Maxwell.

“Are you here to nag? Cause you have three minutes left,” She said and I snorted.

“Your timing doesn't work on me you should know better miss," I said and we both giggled.

“How are you doing? How is work?” she asked with interest.

“I'm fine. Work is fine. I trust you’re fine too. So how about your alleged dad? How is it going with you both? W

The moment we walked into Mr. Antonio's waiting room, I lost my confidence and was afraid he wouldn't love the designs I had stayed up all night just to sort out for him. This contract meant a lot to me. It was the Major shift I needed to push my fashion brand and I wouldn't want it to slip off my hands. Mr. Antonio was not just a Philippine star but he was also recognized internationally, having him wear our brand would boost the company's profile and also my portfolio as his designer for the company.I remembered how I had always dreamt of being the best fashion designer globally and didn't think twice about enrolling in a fashion school immediately after high school. "You can go to the convenience and catch your breath. You look nervous, " Maxwell said as he noticed my trembling hands. "This contract means a lot to me. • CHAOTIC LOVE-The CEO's worst nightmare.    The approval- Maxwell's Pov.

Maxwell's POV. I never thought Judith would be nervous about anything. I was speechless at how terrified she was about the contract with Mr. Antonio.Judith had always seemed to me to be a bold, strong-willed woman who could withstand any resistance. She had deep-seated anxieties and insecurities, which I noticed as I observed the terror etched all over her lovely face and her hands shaking. Perhaps this contributed to her paranoia, or maybe it was how she maintained her standards high. When we drove back to the office, I turned to observe the gorgeous smile on her face, "How did you do that?" She asked and I raised a brow. "Do what?" I asked and focused on the road. "The magnificent presentation, you spoke like a professional, and for some second I couldn't believe you were the one," She said and I smiled. "I blew all of our minds in there and stirred up my confidence," Judith said and I raised a brow. "Such a compliment from you needs to be added to my C.V. This is

Judith's Pov. For the first time since we were paired, I felt blessed to have Maxwell as a teammate. The thought of how he had stood up for me when I felt we were going to lose our opportunity to get MR. Antonio's partnership made me feel guilty that I had fought against him being my teammate. Maxwell had bluntly refused to take the glory for a job well done and had made everyone feel I deserved the credit. He was kinder than I thought and also smarter, the fact that he was able to pull all of that with just one night was mind-blowing. As I sat in the taxi on my way to the hospital, my thoughts were dominated by how my day had gone and the triumph we had with Mr. Antonio. Mrs. Cecila had booked my appointment with the doctor for that day and I was still a bit skeptical about everything. Amihan had a point, it was best I took the test and found the truth about my identity rather than always trying to run from my shadow. The nurse on duty informed me that the doctor had jus

Dalisay POV. Karl has been distant from me since his last failed attempt for us to make love, even though he still managed to grin and strike up a brief conversation with me at the dinner table. After the weekend with Adams, I realized how insecure he felt about us, and no matter how often I assured him about my love for me, Nothing would change until we were finally together but that would be after I got my divorce from Karl. Karl has never offended me and even when I was at fault, he always had a way of making things right between us. Even with my constant refusal to have sex with him, Karl had never threatened to make it known to anyone or even blackmail me into involving the media. We had some arguments about how I continued refusing him access to my body and he still acted like all was well between us when we stepped out for an interview that day. The moment Karl saw me walking into our room, he stood up to leave, he had been avoiding me since I returned like a plague a

Karl's pov. I was astonished when Dalisay kissed me and placed her hands around my waist. I didn't want her to make a fool of me as usual. Even though a part of me wanted to push further, I refrained since I felt it was just going to end with nothing happening like our usual way. Dalisay wasn't drunk, it was a waste of time to give in. She stopped me as I made my way to the door to leave the room and made further advances when I gave in, I noticed she didn't resist and for the first time, I made love to her with no restriction. Dalisay knew more than I thought. She was good with her skills and had left me wanting more of her banging body. I tried my best to enjoy the moment with her since an opportunity like that may rarely or never come another time. I watched as she fell asleep after we had several rounds of sex, I gently kissed her and made my way to the balcony. (Can you come over? It's urgent,) A message notification popped in from Luciana. It was almost midnight

Dalisay's POV. I waited impatiently for the staff to gather as I roamed the board room in a frenzied manner. How in the world was it possible for such a large amount of money to disappear from the company's account without my supervision? The fund could not have left the account without my signature as CEO; Regina and I were the sole signatories. Regina better have a good explanation for this. My mother and Karl, who were on the board of directors, were among those seated in the boardroom a few minutes later. "Without my consent or signature, a substantial amount was taken unlawfully from the company's account. I replied fiercely, observing the shocked expressions on everyone's faces as they gazed at one another. "I wonder how that was possible in the first place and who did that," I muttered. I got more and more enraged as I observed them staring at each other. "Why isn't anyone speaking up? We're not here to gaze at one another; rather, we're here to identify the perpetrato

  • CHAOTIC LOVE-The CEO's worst nightmare.    The culprit-Karl's POV.

Karl's Pov. I had never seen Dalisay so furious with her mother. My suspicions were correct; Luciana had taken money out of the company's fund without her daughter's consent and I wondered what could be the excuse she would give when Dalisay was done investigating since I knew She would. For a moment, I had never realized that the man I had met in her apartment the previous night was not only one of her gigolos; he was the one who was seen with her on the footage. For all this time, I had assumed that my feelings for Dalisay were unfounded, but after our intimate moment last night, everything inside of me craved her, and I wasn't going to let anything stand in our way—not even Luciana. Dalisay was beginning to love me with how passionate she was with me last night and even that morning she had asked the maid to let her serve my breakfast. I was scared Dalisay would not hesitate to file for divorce if Luciana dared to inform her of my involvement in all of this. "What were you t

"You look stunning and breathtaking girl," As I would be the center of attention for the majority of the activities, I took extra time to get ready for the company's dinner date. "Your beautiful smile is a bonus," Amihan added as she noticed how excited I was. That morning, I felt energized and for the first time since my breakup with Jake, I was truly happy and optimistic about being around people. With Maxwell's help, I was able to attain such a height, and I felt grateful he came through at the very moment I needed him, the first thing I did that morning was to send him an appreciation text, which he responded to swiftly. Whenever his thought flashes through my mind, I catch myself smiling, instead of my typical frown, "What if he asks me to be his girlfriend?" I questioned inwardly and was shocked to hear Amihan giggle. "What's funny?" I questioned her, "Wait, did I say that loud

Amihan's POV, I tried to sit up, but the pain in my head and stomach was excruciating. I could feel the grogginess of sleep slowly fading away, and I became aware of my surroundings. It was a hospital room, and the memory of the shooting came flooding back. "Mom," I said weakly, my voice hoarse from disuse. "Where is Dalisay?""Dalisay's getting the best care possible, honey," my mom said, her voice gentle and soothing. But even as she spoke, I couldn't help but sob. I felt so guilty, knowing that Dalisay had risked her life to save me."She's going to be okay," my mom said, rubbing my back comfortingly. "And you're going to be okay too. We're all going to get through this together."I wanted to believe her, but my emotions were still too raw. I couldn't stop crying. My gaze shifted to the corner of the room, and I saw Judith standing next to my father. Her eyes were red and swollen, and she looked like she had been crying. I felt a surge of anger well up inside of me."What is sh

Two weeks later, Judith's POV, The last two weeks had been a blur of pain and anguish. My best friend, Amihan, lay comatose in the hospital, clinging to life by a thread same as Dalisay. I blamed myself for everything that had happened. It was my selfish desire for Maxwell that had caused all of this. I had been so jealous of Amihan's relationship with him, that I had pushed her to move into the mansion, even though I knew it was dangerous. And now she was fighting for her life, while I was left with nothing but regret and guilt."Judith, you look exhausted," Amihan's mother said, her face filled with concern. "Why don't you go home and get some rest? You've been here at the hospital for days now."As soon as they had received news of Amihan's incident, her Foster parents had flown down from New York, arriving the next day. They had been at the hospital ever since, taking turns to stay with Amihan. She was right. I hadn't slept in days, and I was running on empty. But I didn't want

Because as long as I'm concerned, everyone of you here are suspect, and I'm going to get you all arrested." Maxwell responded unflinchingly, without any iota of panic in him, his expression was grimly as he spoke making everyone shift uneasily on their spot, except Luciana who had been sitting quietly with her fingers resting on her
