Gust of Emotions

As Charlotte walked out of the building, she sensed a bit of thirst and cravings for a glass of milk. Unconscious about Smith whereabouts, she scanned the vicinity for any place she could grab her craving. As the sun unapologetically waves heat all over her, she chanced upon a charming diary shop with bottle of milk stocked up in it’s fridge. The scent of creamy milk and baked goods swimming out to greet her. As she stepped into the old store, the bell above the door tingled, and the scent of creamy milk filling the air around her. She had been craving a cold glass of milk all day, but she didn’t know, that her cravings lead to an encounter. As she made her way to the counter, she unexpectedly crossed path with Smith’s, his hand cradling two bottles of ice cold milk like a precious treasure. With a smile, Smith offered her a bottle of milk, as he said, “I think you might be want to have a taste of this.” Charlotte’s gazed at Smith and smiled as Smith’s fingers brushed against hers, the bottle of milk a symbol of his manliness and thoughtful gesture. At that moment The milk bottle seemed to weigh less than the emotions. Charlotte felt as Smith walked her to the car, his presence warming her more than the summer breeze.

As they entered into the car, Smith turned to her with a warm smile. “You absolutely did well at that interview, Miss Charlotte. Your words were pure magic and a full expression of emotions.” Charlotte’s blushed and said. “Thanks to you, Smith. Your advice and support was everything I’ve ever needed. Just knowing you were waiting for me gave me the courage to do better.” Smith’s eyes dilated as he said.” Thank you also but I’m glad I could help it’s a pleasure besides You are gifted for words.” Charlotte’s smile softened. “It’s not just about the words, Smith. It’s about feeling seen and heard. You have a way of making me feel like I’m home.” Smith felt proud and giggled softly. As Smith drove along the winding roads, his gaze drifted hastily to Charlotte, her face glowing with a bright smile. Her eyes sparkled like diamonds in the light, and her smiling face gave Smith a blush. He felt his heart swell, his chest tightened with emotion. He knew that look, it was the look of a woman in love. Smith's instincts told him to reach out, to brush a strand of hair behind her ear as a way to confess his own feelings and love. But he didn’t, He maintained his professionalism and focused on driving. He maintained a steady speed as his hands tightens on the wheel, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. "Enjoying the ride?" he asked, his voice smooth, betraying none of the thoughts inside without shifting his gaze. Charlotte's smile still unquenched. "It’s more than you can ever imagine," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper as she felt the wind brushing and blowing across her face with her head almost stuck out of the car

As Smith starts to decelerate, his mind wandered to the woman beside him. Why had she chosen to sit in front, close enough for him to reach out and touch, instead of the spacious backseat? He couldn’t help but feel an hard string pull in his chest as he pondered the question.

Pulling up into the parking lot, Smith turned off the engine and turned to Charlotte. His eyes locked onto hers, and he offered a gentle smile. “We’re here,” he said, his baritone voice low and soothing. With the door open, Smith stretched his hand, helping Charlotte out of the car. She stepped out with her bag slung over her shoulder and the glass of milk still clutched in her hand like an engagement ring. The soft glow of the parking lot lights shines on her face, illuminating the faint smile and beautiful lipstick on her lips as she blushed. As she stepped onto the pavement, Smith couldn’t help but notice the way she moved with the grace of a queen, her very presence commanding attention and her pride driven with love from within. He felt pride and affection, his heart swelling with emotion almost gasping for air.

As they stepped into the elevator, Smith's presence and radiant perfume filled the air around Charlotte, his warmth and their close distance making her heart beat faster. The elevator doors shut, and it started moving up, the soft buzzing of the elevator giving them into a sense of security.

But without warning, the lights flickered and died, everywhere became dark the elevator shook and Stopped, throwing Charlotte slightly off her feet. She felt herself falling, her stomach tumbling until Smith's strong arms caught her, clutching her against his chest. In the darkness, Charlotte's senses heightened, her heart racing like a wild animal. She felt Smith's warm breath on her skin, his eyes shining like gem in the dark. His face drew closer, his lips inches from hers, the air filled with tension, Charlotte almost gasping for breath. Smith's professionalism was forgotten, his restraining power fell as he gazed into Charlotte's eyes. His arm tightened and envelope around her, pulling her closer, his warmth making her very being submissive. Charlotte's eyelids shut, her lips parting in anticipation of the kiss that seemed unavoidable. As Smith’s lips hover inches from Charlotte’s, the tension between them becomes almost unbearable. The Tip of her lips brushed over as and she felt shiver all over her body. Just as they’re about to kiss, the elevator’s backup generator turn on, and the lights came back to life. Startled, they moved apart, their faces flushed with excitement and a bit of embarrassment. Smith clears his throat, attempting to regain his professionalism as he adjusted his suit, while Charlotte tries to compose herself. As the elevator doors open, they step out into the bright lights of the building, their hearts still racing from the close call. They looked at each other, and for a moment, they both know that their relationship has crossed the line of professionalism. Smith offers his arm, and Charlotte takes it, her hand shaking slightly. Together, they walk to her office, the air between them charged with an awareness and attraction of their already expressed feeling. She took a quick gulp of the milk swinging in her hands to calm the pressure. As Smith turned to leave, Charlotte’s hand reached out, her fingers brushing against his arm, sending a shiver all over his body. He turned back, his eyes locking onto hers, and that’s when he felt her soft and gentle touch on his lips. He felt Charlotte’s touch, her palm rubbing against his cheek, her thumb tracing the curve of his mouth. It was a tender, intimate gesture, one that told the story of her feelings. Smith’s heart skipped a beat as he gazed into her eyes, his own emotions raw and exposed. He felt himself leaning into her touch, his lips parting slightly, inviting more.

The world around them faded away and everything seems silent and still, leaving only the two of them, suspended in a moment of pure connection, Charlotte’s thumb wiped away the faint smudge of lipstick on Smith’s lip, Smith’s eyes widened in surprise. He had expected a passionate kiss, but instead, she was carefully erasing any evidence of their moment. Smith’s mind about to blow as he tried to process the sudden turn of events. He had misread the situation entirely. Charlotte’s touch, her gentle caress, had been a clever way to avoid detection, not a romantic kiss. As he stood there, frozen in surprise, Charlotte turned and slipped into her office chair, leaving Smith to wonder what had just happened.
