Clear to me

"Celia?" man repeats. I kept the gun in my hand, but didn't know what to do. I looked towards Celia.

Her eyes were as wide as saucers, but her hands were still raised and calm, “It's Felipe. Please put down your gun."

“Eric said don't let anyone in. I think Felipe is included in that too,” I said. It felt so hazy, the world around me blurred as I considered shooting my way out of the room.

“Please, Kitten! Do not be silly. Felipe will never let you out of here alive if you don't put your gun away," she pleaded.

“Tell him to go,” I hissed.

“He will know something is wrong. I would never tell him what to do,” she said.

There was a loud knock on the door and a burst of Spanish, "Celia, open the door now or I'll knock it down."

I almost vomited in my mouth at the thought of confronting Felipe. I looked at Celia and she frantically wiped her tears. “Go to the door,” I said.

“What will she do?” Celia sniffled.

“Ask him where Eric is,” I urge.
