Julian smiled as he saw the secretary sitting behind the desk. With relaxed steps, he approached and landed a kiss on the cheek. In just an instant, the girl gasped and turned around with round eyes.

"Sir?" Mia sighed before turning right and left. “Why did you suddenly kiss me? What if someone sees?" she whispered anxiously.

"Don't worry, Mia. The working hour is over. Other employees must be vying their way out of this building. Nobody will come here,” Julian said before sitting down at the table and smiling faintly. “So, what were you thinking? You didn't even notice that I was approaching."

Getting such a question, the high arch of the secretary's brow suddenly turned into a frown. While exhaling resignedly, the girl looked down at the phone in her hand.

"Are you thinking about my father?" Julian interrupted before Mia could speak.

With mouth slightly agape, the girl nodded. "I've never been this nervous," she admitted.

“A woman who's suitable for Mr. Julian?” Mia muttered, forcing her frozen brain to work harder.“Yes,” Herbert nodded casually. “I want to find a mate for Julian. I think, you are the right person to help me choose the girl of choice. So, say it, Mia. What kind of woman does my son like?”In just an instant, Mia's heart shattered along with despair. Her intention to establish herself at the CEO's side had been dashed. She felt that her name had been included in the list of exceptions to Julian Evans' mate.“Mia? Is my question that difficult?” the old man asked as he stooped down, studying the face contorted with pain. The secretary's throat was then as dry as the desert. Not the slightest bit of coolness wafted from his lungs. While clutching the phone, the girl tried to wake herself up not to lose her mind. After being able to endure the tightness, she held her head up with a very stiff expression.

"Sorry .... I don't know about that," Mia stammered. Her vocal cords were too difficult to work with.Miraculously, even though the secretary couldn't control her nervousness, Katniss wasn't suspicious at all. The beautiful girl just blinked, digesting the answer that contained the riddle."I see. Both of you don't spend 24 hours together. Of course you don't know that," the model muttered, nodding slightly. After pressing the inside of the cheek with her tongue for a while, the girl suddenly narrowed her eyes."But if you never find out, doesn't that mean ... in all likelihood, Julian hasn't slept with any women yet?" Katniss asked with sparkling eyes. A second later, she brought the index finger under her chin again. Rolling her eyes upwards, the girl smiled. "I never thought there are still men like that."Hearing Katniss' admiration, Mia naturally lowered her head. A great burden had weighed on her head and heart.“Then, what is Julian's

As soon as he saw the frozen sadness in the trembling eyes, Julian's joy suddenly evaporated. Without wasting time, the man approached the girl and held her shoulders. "Mia? Why are you crying?” he asked with deep furrowed brows. Realizing the CEO's concern, Mia quickly dried her face. "Nothing, Sir." “If it's nothing, there's no way you're crying like this. Did my father threaten you? Did he say something that hurt your feelings?” Julian inquired while lowering his gaze, trying to catch the look in the eyes that were trying to avoid him. "I'm really fine, Sir," Mia replied, lifting the corners of her heavy lips. As fast as lightning, she racked the brains to come up with a plausible reason. “Earlier, Mr. Herbert introduced me to a model. She told me about her struggles in life. Her story touched my heart. That's why I cried." "Why did my father introduce you to a model? You're not lying to me, are you?" Julian inquired with one eyebrow furrow

A second later, Julian leaned forward to land a soft kiss. “You don't need to be discouraged, Mia. You're much better than you think," the man comforted, raising an eyebrow. Worried that she would give the wrong answer, the girl nodded again. "Yeah," she sighed before pulling the corners of her lips higher. "So, do you agree to work with Katniss Johnson?" Knowing that the conversation about the model was still continuing, Julian frowned. "Why are you bringing it up again? Can't we just relax tonight and let go of all the stress and burdens?" the man asked with a hint of hope. "I can only relax after carrying out your father's orders, Sir," Mia said in a pitiful tone. "So, do you a

Julian said, successfully making the girl flinch from contemplation."Wife?"In just an instant, the man's face turned tense. “Do you forget? We got married two years ago? You don't have amnesia from last night's accident, do you?”Hearing such an unreasonable statement, Mia let out a faint sigh. "Amnesia? Accident?"After leaving the secretary trapped in the maze with no way out, a laugh broke out from Julian's mouth. “Is my acting very natural? You seem to believe what I said.""Acting?" Gabriella smiled when she saw that there were no more small hands grabbing the edge of the baby bed. Without making sure, the woman knew that her son, who kept failing to get out of the "nest", was already tired and lay down among his "bear" friends. While shaking her head, the woman continued playing the tunes. Only when the song "Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star" ended, did she get up from the chair and peek into the bed. "Is he asleep?" someone whispered unexpectedly. With round eyes and hands in front of her chest, Gabriella turned to check. As soon as she saw a man with an innocent look, a sigh escaped from her mouth. “Why did you enter secretly? "Whoa!" Cayden sighed as his father placed him on the back of a pony. With round eyes, he surveyed his height from the ground. Even though it was not much, the toddler in the cowboy hat still showed a happy smile. “How is it, Little Evans? Are you happy?” the woman who held the horse's rein asked. Not daring to move much, Cayden nodded at a limited angle. "Yes, Greta. I am happy. It's thrilling!” he answered enthusiastically. “Thrilling?” Gabriella muttered, furrowing an eyebrow. While continuing to rock her niece, the woman expressed astonishment. “Where did you learn that word, Little Prince?” "Daddy often mentions it," the toddler replied, successfully making his father wince. "Daddy said that the nights spent with Mom were always thrilling." As Gabriella glared at her husband, Greta burst out laughing. "Gosh, Max. I think you should be more careful now. Your genius son can absorb all the words you speak.” "Right. I'll be more caref

"If you kept avoiding me, I would really quit the company," Julian said, successfully freezing Mr. Hunt's steps. The old man was then blinking, digesting the words he thought he heard wrong. “Actually, my position as a CEO is being threatened for some reasons. I tried to keep it a secret from all of you. I didn't even let Mia know. But as it turned out, it wasn't easy at all. My mind became adrift. And because the burden was too heavy, my emotions finally exploded. I'm so sorry it had to happen in front of you." Hearing the tone that seemed honest, Mr. Hunt slowly turned his focus. Two seconds later, he saw the tears slide from the grandson's eyes. "I've tried to be strong and tough, Grandpa. I thought I could solve all problems. But it turns out, I haven’t found any solution yet. That's why I was angry when I failed to find Grace and you at the cemetery. It got me think that I am a useless man," Julian explained with the gloomy eyes landed on the grass.

“Tsk, why does Grandpa run away like this? It just makes me feel even guiltier,” Julian grumbled between gasping breaths. After a few moments of struggling with the noise in his brain, Julian finally shook his head and blinked strongly. "No, no. Grandpa must be there. I'll take him home and things will automatically return to the way they were before," the man nodded, fostering hope. Ignoring the anxiety that kept swirling in his mind, he went faster. Unfortunately, as soon as Julian passed the cemetery gates, his steps were frozen. His jaw was dropping while his eyelids were lifted to the maximum. What he had hoped for quickly turned into disappointment. "No way! This is impossible!” he curs

"Dad," Cayden called quietly. A second later, the toddler handed Max a piece of bread that had been cleaned of jam. "I'm already full," he continued with a meaningful smile.Understanding the son's intentions, Max spontaneously raised an eyebrow. "Do you want me to finish your bread again?"While showing two rows of tiny teeth, Cayden nodded. After a faint exhalation, the father began to vibrate the air with laughter."Gaby, look at what Little Prince did! Mia answered with a grimace."Is that enough?" the man asked doubtfully. He began to realize that his anger had indeed crossed the line.Pondering, the woman nodded. “As long as it's sincere, Grandpa will definitely forgive you. “Greta, have you prepared delicious toast for us?” Cayden asked as the hostess opened the door wider to welcome him. Seeing her father was still able to walk, the woman with high arch of the brows spontaneously sighed in relief. "Sorry, Julian. I took Grace to see your grandmother for a while. Now, I intend to take her home. We're not wandering around or straying like you said," Mister Hunt explained with an indescribable expression. Even so, his hoarse voice was able to touch the hearts of the listeners, apart from his grandson. "But the way home is over there, Grandpa!" Julian snapped, still with eyebrows raised to the max. The young man didn't feel sorry at all for the hunched back that was getting weighed down by guilt. "I really can’t understand what’s on your mind. Don't you realize that your recklessness can lead to trouble? Didn't we agree to go together? Why did you secretly take Grace away?” he continued, thickening the wrinkles on his grandfather's forehead. Sensing her father's anger, Little Princess began to furrow her brows. Arriving at the cemetery, Julian was taken aback. What he saw was completely beyond expectation. There were no old man and baby among the tombstones. The grandfather and Grace left absolutely no trace. "This is impossible," Julian muttered as he quickened his pace. Neglecting his initial attempt to remain calm, the man sped toward the direction Greta had given. After searching for a while, he finally found the grandmother's name on one of the stones. “Right, this is the place. They should be here," Julian sighed, sounding desperate. With deep furrows, he circled around, trying to find any trace of either his daughter or Grandpa Hunt. Unfortunately, as far as the eye could see, the two remained off the radar. Confusion instantly grew bigger in Julian’s mind. "Tsk, how could it be like this?" he grumbled while clutching his head. Knowing that irritation, Mia gently touched her husband's arm. Carefully, Mr. Hunt wiped his great-granddaughter's cheek. Grace's red eyes no longer shed sadness. However, the old man still felt guilty for making the baby cry. "I'm sorry, Grace. I should have walked more calmly so you wouldn't wake up," he whispered in between his ragged breaths. After her face had been dry, Grace rested her head on Mister Hunt's shoulder. Blinking slowly, she pursed her lips. The furrow of her tiny brows indicated that she still wanted to roll up in the blanket on the crib. The baby wondered why she was with her great-grandfather, sitting on a long bench at the edge of a path. “When I was young, I only need fifteen minutes to arrive at your great-grandmother's grave. But now, why does it feel so long and tiring?” Mr. Hunt grumbled as he wiped his forehead with one hand. After one quick breath, the old man stood up again and held Grace in his languid arms. Although the baby was a bit heavy, his lips still curled up warmly.
