“This is my heart, Sir. Only I know how it feels," Mia said firmly.
"But you can't hide it from me, Mia," Julian sighed with a fixed gaze. While holding the secretary's shoulders, he clenched his jaw. "Now tell me the truth. Why did you hide the fact that I did that to you?”
After a moment of silence, the girl replied, "I don't want to make my parents sad and disappointed."
"Is that so?" the man inquired while painting doubt through the arch of his brow. “Then, two years ago, why didn't you slap me too? You act like nothing happened in that elevator.”
“That's because I don't want to bring up the past, Sir. After all, at that time, you were pressed. As we've already discussed, I was the closest way out. So, I accept it.”
Hearing the reason that seemed made up, Julian snorted. “What about two minutes? Why did you pause for a moment, before deciding to push me? Isn't it because your heart is not willing to reject me?"
