Chapter 73: Distance

Having been submerged in the water for only a short time, Emma's complexion had turned pale. After Harry performed artificial respiration for her, her slightly parted rosy lips let out a faint cough.

"Director Emma is awake." The people gathered around breathed a sigh of relief, exchanging smiles.

Ciara, however, trembled with fear, continuously biting her nails as she stepped back to avoid Harry's gaze.

"How do you feel, Emma? I will take you to the hospital." Harry took off his vest and draped it over her before supporting her in his arms.

"No, today's scene is not finished yet. I have to go back to work."

Emma staggered to her feet from within Harry's embrace. Her curly, wet hair clung gently to her charming oval face. She glanced towards Ciara, intending to dismiss everyone with a wave, but Harry's icy voice cut through behind her.

"The person who pushed her into the lake, step forward!"
