Sunday, Miller mansion:-

The Sunday mornings in the Miller mansion had always been a brightening affair as Mr. and Mrs. Miller invited their extended family for lunch. Each Sunday is all about family meet and greet, lip-smacking lunch personally prepared by Mrs. Miller, and great laughter.

However, this time it was a bit different. They did not hold a family lunch, as Mrs. Miller was not well. Moreover, today Mr. Miller was also in a sad mood as he was stressed for Evelyn. The girl had come early today and had been crying since morning. She narrated the incident from last evening, making Mr. Miller feel bad for her. As Viaan asked her to stop all her approaches this instant, which she hid skillfully from Mr. Miller, she was now stubborn to get him. And the best option was her uncle. Knowing the couple's fondness for her, she had preferred the tricky way to get things done in her favor.

As Mrs. Miller rested in her room, Mr. Miller sat with his niece in the living hall and consoled her

Adam's Villa:-Kiara's POV:-Sundays are the only time of the week when I get to take a relaxing shower and pamper myself. Otherwise, with the given schedule of my work hours and the amount of workload every day throughout the week, all I feel is a rush to do everything. But thankfully there's at least one day I can devote myself and my personal life. And as today was Sunday, I took extra time to refresh myself. With the warm droplets cascading down my skin, all my stress vented out of my body, too. However, the moments of self-pampering didn't last long, as something was waiting for me to freak out again.I had just opened my bathroom door when I heard the continuous ringing of my phone. 'Who could be at this time?'My eyes themselves went to the clock, and I frowned about who could call me at this time. It was just half-past eight in the morning and, given it was Sunday, no one was supposed to call me at this hour. It can't be Viaan also as we just had a text before I went for my da

With my cheeks red in embarrassment, I completed my breakfast and rushed to my destination. When I was at the entrance, a hand stopped me by my arms and pulled me aside in a secluded corner of the parking. Needless to say, it was Viaan who had stopped me."Hello, Madam. Where?" I heard him say, and my heartbeats raced at a maddening pace. Biting my cheeks, I turned around and faced my man with a nervous smile. There he was, standing all sweaty after the gym session and his brows raised up in question."Hello…" I said, giggling unnecessarily. His forehead creased at my weird behavior. "What's with this smile? What are you nervous about?" The moment he asked, my smile faltered and my heart thumped strongly against my chest.'When did he start reading us like this?' screamed my mind.Gulping some air to ease myself, I shook my head negatively. "No. I'm not nervous. I'm just…. getting late so…" There my words left my mind, and I was blank about what to say more."Getting late? For?" He as

I closed my eyes, letting out the pent-up emotions in my heart. Only Sophia and God know how much I've waited for this one piece of news. He might not have woken up, still, the news of the slightest recovery came as the ray of light amidst the darkness. A strong hope of survival amidst fear of losing him.She stroked my hair, lovingly, before patting my head in consolation. "Yes, Kia, Tyler is finally getting back." She pushed my face up from her shoulders and wiped my tears. "The almighty listened to your prayers." Her words full of promise and hope revived my trust. I felt a different energy channelizing in me as I saw Sophia looking at me with deep confidence swirling in her glossy eyes.I hiccuped, sniffing slowly. My sobs have died down by now with Sophia calming me down. Her words echoed in my mind, told me how my patience and prayers have finally

Writer's POV:-"Kiara?""Ryan?" The names involuntarily came out of both of their mouths not expecting to see one another there. They both froze on their spot with shock etched on their faces. Ryan was standing still, holding the door knob as he had opened it a few moments ago and Kiara didn't realise she wasn't even breathing. When neither Ryan nor Kiara said a word, then Sophia, who was looking at them with confused eyes, had to intervene."Do you guys know each other?" She asked clueless, switching her gaze between Ryan and Kiara. Her call brought them out of their stillness and Ryan cleared his throat, stepping inside the room. The door closed on his back.Kiara, on the other hand, took a sharp breath and she can feel her heart picking up speed but this time with fear.'How come Ryan is here?' Her mind mumbled apprehensively. However, the girl was too speechless to voice out her question.Ryan walked inside, clearing his throat once again. He opened his mouth to ask something bu

"I'm here to see Tyler, Ryan. I'm his attendant.""Attendee?" A deep frown drew over Ryan's forehead as he inquired. "But how can you be his attendee?" He was evidently perplexed. With a hard lump pushed down her throat as she gulped, she averted her gaze. "I am!" Kiara replied briefly, roaming her eyes everywhere but at him.Apparently, that thing irked the man. "Can you be a little precise, Miss Jones?" Raising his brows, he demanded. Arrogantly may be the term for the tone that he used for asking the question. His request-cum-demand made Kiara exhale a sharp breath in frustration; she looked at him with displeased eyes. There was this annoyance pricking the mind that was pushing her to scream out loud at someone or something. And unfortunately, right now the only thing she was hating the most was Ryan's presence in the room or, perhaps, in Tyler's case. The more she was trying to ignore any such possibilities to disclose her relationship with Tyler, the more things and events were

"I will be very grateful to you if you please keep this to yourself only." Kiara requested Ryan in a very pleading tone. She folded her hands, pushing him into a vast pool of doubts and concerns. What could be the grave secret she is hiding is that she is neither revealing everything clearly nor letting him ask. On top of everything, she wants him to keep this newly found information a secret from Viaan.Ryan saw her eyes had brimmed up with tears as she stared at him with defeated yet hopeful eyes. It was as if she knew her secret holds the power to rule everything in her life and it was supposed to happen one day, but for now, she was praying today to not be that day. That's why even when she knew what she was requesting from Ryan was nearly impossible as the man never keeps a secret from his best friend, hope was still lingering in her heart that he will not let her down."Okay, I wo

Her eyes burned as she fought back the tears while looking at the man sleeping unfazed."If it means no harm, why keep hiding it, especially from Viaan? Didn't you guys start the relationship on the basis of transparency this time?" Ryan couldn't help when his tone turned harsher as he accused resentfully. His eyes were pinning the girl down with a death stare. With despondence surrounding her heart, she lowered her gaze. "Trust me, Ryan, I'm dying to tell Viaan everything about it, but there are things, you can say a kind of threat on my and Tyler's life that is stopping me from revealing it yet." She finally gave into her emotions and broke down into tears. Her eyes closed, and she hugged herself, sobbing like a child. His brows were raised up in astonishment as he processed her words."A threat to your life?" He asked, pensive.Without looking at him, Kiara shook her head. "Yes. It's complicated. And I don't
