"Kiara, baby, wake up. I didn’t know it was you." I touched her hair and moved her now-red hair from her face. "I won’t let anyone touch you, okay?" I said softly.

Zoey and Vin stormed into the room next, with a worried Axel behind them.

"What the fuck is happening here?" Vin yelled with this anger I hadn’t sensed from him before.

"What the hell are you doing?" Joey demanded and stared at Kiara in my arms.

Fuck. They wouldn’t let me leave with her, even if I told them the truth. She was just a paycheck for them. I didn’t know if they were loyal to the boss or if they would freak out and just start firing. Shit. I had to keep the truth hidden.
