CHAPTER ONE

ARIANNA

"It almost hurts seeing you cry but unlike some other people, I enjoy watching people shed their eyes out." My heart was skipping beats and it felt like my breaths was getting hitched as I squeezed on the hand of my bag intensely.

For some reason, I wish it would be able to help me process the pain that was flooding in my heart as the image on the screen reflected in my eyes.

"Evan, please." I pleaded as I clutched the fabric on my chest area tightly.

"Your fiancee seems to enjoy having sex with your bestfriend than you." I wasn't sure when I threw the burrito in my hands at Evans face but he swiftly dodged it.

"Please, stop talking." Tears rolled out my eyes as I watched them through the CCTV footage of the hotel making love to each other like nothing mattered more in the world.

"I'm not lying. He seems so satisfied unlike when he had sex with you at...mexico county." Evan dragged the location a little more and pursed his lips like he had just said a forbidden thing.

"What?" I stared at him with pure disbelief in my eyes as horror filled my face.

And it wasn't from the fact that my boyfriend and my bestfriend were cheating on me but did he say he saw I and Landon having sex at Mexico county?

"Oh don't act so oblivious. The look of pain on your face that day made me realize that it might be your first time having sex. The pictures I took that day were complete masterpieces." Pain and fear flooded into my whole being in equal measures as I stared at him with mouth wide open.

"Is that why you brought me here to see this?" I pointed at the camera footage visibly shaking.

"Did you bring me here just to blackmail me?" He squinted his eyes in that annoying manner that made me feel like I have to punch his face.

"Blackmail you? When did I ever do that?" He asked with a maniacal smile on his face tilting his head to a corner.

This is the reason I hated this guy with everything in me. Evan Gates was known for his indefinite replies and nonchalant attitude but above all, he was renowned for been the play boy that women would fall at his feet at any time he requests.

So imagine my surprise when I get sent an anonymous tip that my fiancee and my bestfriend were continually having sex and their location for today was the Grand .

The Diamond Falls belonged to the Gates so it kind of made sense that Evan would have such informations.

"Telling me you have pictures of me having sex with Landon, isn't that blackmail?"

"I called the pictures masterpieces and I've not yet decided if I want to blackmail you or not so don't make my decision come to me fast. I like taking my time."

"Anyways, quick question. That pent house you were planning to gift him for his birthday tomorrow, can you just give it to me instead? I helped you uncover your fiancee's cheating ass." My tongue got stuck in my tongue as I kept looking at Evan in surprise.

I hadn't told anyone that I wanted to gift Landon a pent house so how did Evan know?

"Have you been stalking me?" I found myself asking as the control manager removed the footage of Landon at Evan's instruction.

"Stalking you?" He lifted the corner of his lips on irritation, "I have better things to do Miss Rihanna." He scoffed.

"The name is Arianna." I corrected.

"Rihanna, Arianna, same thing." He mused and I didn't have the energy to drag on with him.

"It's clear you're stalking me." I argued and he sighed.

"I just happen to stumble upon you in the worst of places ever." He shrugged it off and if he thought that I believed that one bit then he had to get his brain checked.

"Thanks for showing me this and thanks for not blackmailing me though I have no idea what you want to do with the pictures you took. I'll take my leave now." I held my bag tightly like it was my only support as I placed each foot in front of each other trying my best not to fall as my eyes were a blur of hazy darkness.

"Well that's a pity. I would have helped out but you probably want to crawl up in your bed and cry like that ever solved anything." He scoffed yet again but I didn't stop or turn to stare back at him.

I was tempted to when he said he would have helped out but on the contrary, there's absolutely nothing that I could get from this man. I didn't want his help either ways.

"You're probably going to break up with him over text, the only thing I think of is how you would face the paparazzi's and media since technically, you've revealed your wedding date." He mused casually as I was about walking out of the door and I stopped, holding the door frame; I swiveled to spare him a glance.

He must have probably done a lot of digging before revealing this to me because I had revealed my wedding date with Landon not too long yesterday.

"Not that you need to hear it but I can fly out of the country and save myself from the medias trauma." I said and he began chuckling making my whole body stiffen with how dry and hoarse the laugh sounded.

"That won't solve anything. You already know the toll it would take on your father's business." I felt tongue tied as my head went towards a downward spiral. This would be bad for dad.

"My dad can deal with little medias and paparazzi's. They won't be able to do anything to his business." I sounded defensive or perhaps I was trying to convince myself.

"Yeah, you don't sound very convincing." I turned to face him fully, straightening my back; I held his gaze for a few moments before letting out the words that I never wished I said.

"So what do you think I should do? There's no way I would be able to marry Landon after what I saw today. If that's what you would tell me to do, it's not going to happen." I concluded.

"Is that you asking for my help? I would pay any amount to make this moment replay."

"Deal with it. Now do you have anything to say or should I leave?" I really hoped he had an idea of what I should do because I wouldn't want my personal affairs to stop my father's business.

"If you're going to ask for my help, don't say you'd leave like you're threatening me. For all I care, you can walk out the door." I swallowed hard realizing that indeed he had nothing to lose or gain even if I decided to stay or not.

"What do you think I should do?" My voice was low and calmer than usual.

"There's an option for you to turn a blind eye to what you've seen today and get married to him." I gritted my teeth in annoyance.

"I'm leaving." I stated and began walking.

"There's an even better option." He smiled broadly like whatever he had in mine to say was so fascinating.

"Which is?"

"Marry me." My eyes widener with shock as I stared at his mouth in disbelief.
