Overwhelmed

"Good," I said, and I hung up on the call.

I sat in my study and started to work, but to my surprise, I couldn’t concentrate on my work for at least ten minutes. Whenever I think about my job, the only thing that comes to mind is her tears, and it breaks my heart every time. Here Scream is reckoning in my ears; her tear-starved face was flashing in front of my eyes.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to go to her and unlock her door until I find out the outcome of her father's surgery. Guilt is driving me crazy, and it is making me feel compelled to go see her and apologize. I slept off

I leaned back, closing my eyes, thinking about what I should do with her. I did not even know up until I was sleepy, but when my mobile phone started ringing, I opened my eyes without taking a break in the name of a break.

"Hello,"’ I answered, coming back to my senses.

"Hello, Xavier. I heard Robert’s voice.

"Yes," I said with a sleepy voice.

"Surgery was done," Robert informed.

"Great news! How is it?
