Chapter 26. PROPOSE

(Freya's POV)

That evening, Henry came to the house to pick us up for dinner. Henry had booked a fancy, expensive restaurant in the center of town. Hazel and Violet couldn't wait to get to the restaurant and stayed in the car the whole time. They sang as Henry played their favorite songs.

We sang along with joy and smiles that couldn't be separated from us. We were like a happy little family. And suddenly I thought of how if Ash and I loved each other, surely our marriage would be as beautiful as what I see today.

However, Henry is not my husband, but he is like family to me. My daughters have also considered Henry as their father because, since childhood, Henry has replaced Ash as their godfather.
