Chapter 56: My Heart Aches

By the time Elaine realized what was happening, the two men were already fighting. To be more precise, Mason had Aaron's collar in his grasp, and his fists were landing on Aaron's handsome face, causing a loud thud with each punch.

Aaron naturally didn't want to be beaten up, but when he thought about Elaine being surrounded by five burly women, he found that he couldn't lift his fist no matter how hard he tried. He closed his eyes tightly, suddenly looking at Elaine.

Elaine turned her face away and walked straight past the two men who were entangled in a brawl, deciding to leave the room to let them fight to their hearts' content.

Downstairs, the housekeeper stood anxiously at the stairs, clenching her palms. When she saw Elaine coming down, she quickly turned away. Elaine knew she had called Mason, and although she didn't like the feeling of being watched, she had to admit that Mason's timely arrival was helpful.
