Chapter 21: Restaurant Encounter

In a rare good mood, Elaine decided to go out with Calvin after having an unsatisfying lunch that left her hungry. The Smith family was familiar with Calvin, so the butler didn't stop them as they left, only reminding them to be careful on the way.

Calvin didn't think much of the butler's caution and commented, "Why does Mason treat you like a child?" Elaine smiled in response.

Calvin quickly turned his head to look at her and suddenly said, "You have a secret, don't you? I can tell you're not ordinary." Elaine replied, "...Tell me then, how am I not ordinary?" She looked at him with a smile that seemed ambiguous. Calvin turned to face her, their eyes meeting like glass, and something inside him felt a sting. He quickly averted his gaze, feeling uneasy, and awkwardly tapped the steering wheel, blurting out, "Men's intuition."

Elaine almost burst into laughter at his remark.

They went to a buffet restaurant, as Calvin suggested. He commented on how famished Elaine looked and joked that
