3 months later

……..My heart stopped. As I thought of all the things I had gone through just to gain my freedom from Alex. Somehow Jaxon had been able to get me out of that unholy arrangement with Alex but this too had come with a price ……if I could endure Alex, Jaxon would be much easier as he and I had history even though I told everyone I had no feelings for him.

I was jolted back to reality when I heard the door open and it was Jaxon. He smiled and asked if I was still having the headache and I nodded.

"You should rest if your headache persists,” and walked out shutting the door gently.

It was reassuring to see that he was finally there for me,true but I didn't see Jaxon in the light of someone who I could still trust.

Letting out a deep sigh, I rested my head on the pillow and finally dozed off.
