35: Quest To Finish

There’d not been much to life that interested me since I’d become ridden with bloodlust, I was used to finding fulfillment in the bloodlust that burnt relentlessly within me and almost nothing else surpassed that feeling.

Yet, there were a pair of golden eyes that’d replayed in my memories for over a decade that easily brought me a feeling of immense joy and peace, one that’d been a source of sustenance for me for all the years that I’d been holed up in the wilderness amongst wild beasts and rogues.

Even now, my thoughts dwelt on those eyes as I recalled the first time I’d seen in her in the market square almost eleven years ago. She had an angelic beauty about her that I didn't think I’d ever come across before and after her, divinity and gracefulness shone around her as she carried herself happily around the market stalls with the most gorgeous smile on her face.
