Chapter 1 -She's off limits

Chapter 1

Kelly couldn't believe what was happening to her . She just needed to get cleaned up and head to the party her bestie was hosting . Braden had always been a reliable friend, he had always understood Kelly and Kelly always understood him . They were the best of friends and he always regarded her as a sister .She regarded him as a brother and they both had an undeniable bond .

Braden had sent someone upstairs with her luggage including the dress she had picked

for her now ex-boyfriends party that wasn't happening. She thanked the person who delivered her luggage, got cleaned up and headed straight to Braden's party. She didn't expect to see anyone she knew except for Braden who she couldn't find.

She was wearing a black hoodie dress with an acoustic guitar printed on it and thigh high boots . She looked like a Rockstar's girlfriend, without the celebrity boyfriend she was used to having since she broken up with him and nobody knew you at the moment but sooner or later, people were going to find out that they were both broken up and the" IT" couple was no longer the it couple anymore, and that what everybody thought was a fairytale story that was going to end in marriage and family was not going to end in a marriage and family because she wasn't getting married to Codi . Instead her best friend was getting married to the guy of her dreams or so she thought because they were perfect on paper ,and in reality how could something so right go so down south in a matter of months and how could she have been so blind as to not see what was going on underneath her nose her now ex-boyfriend had managed to get her a job that she thought that she worked hard for and everything was tainted.

She needed a fresh start and some way to get over what happened and the party Braden was hosting ,was just what the doctor ordered. She made her way to a corner table because she knew the restaurant , the only difference was that it was turned into a club and the table was empty so instead of looking lost she decided to call her friend and Bradenton didn't pick up she sent him a text telling him that she was in the club/restaurant and he asked her where she was when she dropped her location he told her to wait there for a couple of minutes while he was busy managing the VIP section which was almost overflowing with all of his international guests. Kelly was invited but she knew how rowdy things could get with soccer players.

This was the first party she had been to in a while that had so many famous people in one room. She wasn't phased by anything because she had dated someone who was liked by everybody else including her best friend she knew that she needed to let go of what had happened and what was going on with regards to I love life she needed to start on it in slate and she was going to do that soon but for now she wanted to just party and have a good time. When she was done texting Braden ; she made her way to the bar where he said he'd meet her in 10 minutes .

Braden was making his way to the bar when Aiden stopped him . He had his eye on Kelly, he couldn't explain it but the moment he laid eyes on her he was overcome with a sense of calmness and attraction towards a perfect stranger . He placed his hand on Braden's shoulder and stepped infront of him .

" Braden you know that you and I have been friends for a long time right and we have never kept anything from anyone and you know if I like a girl you're always my wingman right I mean I can't thank you enough for allowing my team to celebrate their pre-season win."

"It's not a problem they are well-behaved so just take it as a gift from me to you and let's just talk about the win tomorrow because right now we need to celebrate the fact that you are building a very strong team and hopefully your father will be proud of you because you two have been fighting like crazy and the last thing I need is for my cousin and uncle to be fighting."

" I have a valid reason for fighting with him he slept with my girlfriend ,and lied to my face time and time again it's been going on for the past 5 years and I knew nothing about it and he called me because my mother had found out about the affair just yesterday and I needed this win just to make me feel good I've been talking to my mother I talked to her before I came downstairs and she seems to be in good spirits and she seems to have forgiven him but honestly it was my girl she used to be my girl and now she's with my father how messed up is that."

" We'll talk about it over breakfast , why did you stop me ? "

" Her . "

Aiden Storm pointed at Kelly and smiled.

" She's off limits. "

" Why ? "

" She's my friend . "

" I'm family . "

" Behave . "

" Introduce me to her . "

" She's my date not yours and besides you are with that model who seems to be dating every single person in this party like everybody likes her and she's more famous than you and yet you are a part owner of the club so I'm sorry that your girl is into soccer guys and not you but you are not taking my date."

Chuckling Aiden rolled his eyes. Braden knew the look and he knew the look that he had given, it was a look that he knew so well because he had done it when they were kids when he had one up on him but he couldn't help but wonder what he had that he couldn't top.

"I'm not going to be doing that ,it looks like someone who looks like a rock star is talking to your date, he is

with some chick and things are about to get rowdy.I mean if you invited this person to the VIP section , why didn't you go meet her at the door because there are many guys who would love to be around her she is quite the looker which is less than I can say for the other women you've been with. "

" She's like a sister to me , she's going through a hard time and I don't think that it's the right time or place to tell you what she's going through but please be gentle with her ;if you ever want to pursue her , don't. If you'll excuse me I need to go so if my best friend who is looking a bit upset right now from where I'm standing because she is talking to her ex-boyfriend."

Aiden focused his attention on what was going on and it looked like Kelly looked upset which made him upset too in a strange way and to top it off from where he was standing it looked like the woman who was with the rockstar was enjoying the drama he was causing .

" I don't care who she's talking to , but by the looks of things he's making her a bit upset because I can see it from here she doesn't seem like the person that I met just a couple of hours ago. I did meet her that's why I was asking you to introduce me to her so that it doesn't look like I'm some stranger who's talking her I don't want to come across q that so can you please just introduce us when you get the chance and if you say that you were going to introduce us during breakfast then that's fine by me but if you want to play Superman and if you want to be the best friend that you claim to be I suggest that you get downstairs right now because things are about to go wrong."

Brayden lightly punched his cousin's shoulder and shook his head he knew that he was up to something but he didn't know what and by the looks of things he was catching feelings fast for his best friend who he was protective of you didn't want her to get hurt again and he had to go put out of her that he had indirectly started because he had invited Codi and Melissa before he heard about what happened.

"This conversation is not over and I will be back. You are sometimes the most irritating person that I've never come across but at the same time I'm thankful that you are around because you are ready to analyze situations which make you good at what you do."

" My job."

" which you get paid for."

" Go play Superman Brady."
