Chapter Three

“What did you just say?” Victor was looking at me with disbelief in his eyes, I didn’t know what had pushed me to say what I had said but then there was no way I was going back into that house.

“I said that I want a divorce Mr. Victor Walters, I can’t live in this pain anymore.” I was looking at him, I was holding back the tears in my eye as I said those words. I might have been in pain but I still didn’t know why I couldn’t stop loving him.

“Do you know what you are saying? That you want to divorce me, you must be drunk or something. Maybe...”

“I am not drunk!” I yelled out of anger and pain, Victor kept looking at me. This was the first time he had ever seen me this way, or maybe this was the first time I had ever talked back to him.

“I am not drunk; I have had enough of all this pain. I have been insulted and humiliated for too long, I endured it all because I love you, but every time you always find a way to shove it in my face and tell me that there is no need for my love. I have had it! I want a divorce.”

Victor was looking at me, he stood there glaring at me like I was some kind of sculpture. I knew that it was his first time getting that kind of message from anyone. I was holding my tears back; I knew that if I should keep quiet, I will be force to do somethings that I don’t wish to do.

“I see that you are not in your senses, whenever you are ready to come back you know what to do.” Victor walked in and shut the door. I was left alone; I couldn’t hold in the tears anymore I immediately broke down.

I turned and began to leave the gate; I stopped and took one last look at the house. I knew that there was no way that I was going to go back there, I had to fight to make sure that I and my child had the best life.

I took out my phone and was about to dial up Sasha, suddenly my head began to feel hazy. I didn’t know what was happening, I began to walk further away from the house my legs were feeling woozy before I knew what was happening, I fell to the ground.

All I could hear was distant screams from people that was standing close to where I fell, I couldn’t see what was going on.

I opened my eyes and looked around, the sounds of beeping and the strong smell of medicine showed that I was at a hospital. I looked around to see that Sasha purse was on top of the table beside me. I didn’t know how she managed to find me but I was lucky that she did.

The doors opened and Sasha walked in, she had a tray of food in her hands. She walked in and saw that I was awake, I could see the joy in her eyes. “Belle.” She ran towards me and wrapped her hands around me.

“I was so scared when you weren’t replying your call, I didn’t know what was wrong until I came towards your house to see people gathered around you. I was so scared.” She didn’t want to let go; I knew that there was no making her leave me anytime soon.

“I’m okay, what did the doctor say was wrong with me?” I used my hands to run through my belly fearing the worse for my child.

Sasha looked at me with a smile, “Don’t worry, the doctor said that your baby is in perfect condition. It was the first thing I told him to check when he found out that you were okay.”

I gave out a sigh of relief, I looked around to see that Victor wasn’t there. I didn’t know why I expected him to be here, no matter how much I tried I couldn’t stop loving him. I loved him so much that it could be seen as madness.

“I will be back later, make sure you eat this and take the medication they will give you.” Sasha got up, I looked at her. She managed to be here for me whenever I needed her, I looked at her and smiled.

“I will be fine, thank you for everything. I don’t know what I will do without you, you really have been there for me.” I smiled; she smiled back.

“I will always be here for you, now get your rest. Please take care of yourself, I will be back soon.” She left the room.

I was trying my best not to break down in front of Sasha, I didn’t want her to know that I was being hurt from the inside. I had successfully wasted four years of my life loving an inferno that kept burning me. I wanted to make sure that I was always there for him but he was never here when I needed him to be here for me.

I made sure that no matter what his family did to me, I will always make sure that I didn’t lash out or try to hurt their feelings.

I changed myself from a rich heiress to normal city girl just be with him, yet I didn’t ask for anything but only his love. I didn’t get that; he always see me as a burden. I always made sure to put his happiness first but then what did I get out of it? Nothing but four years filled with pain and suffering, I knew that if they knew that I was not who they took me for I wouldn’t have been seen as a gold digger.

The love of my life even made sure that he didn’t sleep in the same room as I did, he called me bad luck. But that night, I don’t know if he was drunk but that was the first time in four years that he made me feel like I was important to him but then it was only for the night. Before I could wake up, he was gone.

I never asked for anything but for him to love me, I thought that I would be able to make him see that I truly love him. There was no need for all that now, I wanted to make sure that my unborn child got the most out of life. I was done trying to make sure that everyone was happy.

I looked down to see that my phone had a bunch of missed calls on them, at first my thoughts went to Sasha. But to my surprise, it wasn’t her.

“Jason?”
