Chapter 4

"What do you want to eat?" Taylor asked, breaking the silence while getting up ready to leave.

"Mr Young,..thank you for everything, but I have some questions to ask you if you don't mind." She said motioning for him to sit.

"Hey, c'mon,do I look that old? Call me Taylor and we will talk some other time when you are well. Now you have to eat and get better."

"Actually am not.."

"Yes you are and so am I , we are both going to eat. Wait for me, am going to get us something to eat."

"But ..." He left before she finished talking not giving her room to say no to him.

When he came back, they eat and chatted the whole day, well Taylor did most of the talking. He told her about his family back in Asia and his childhood, Joy on the other hand kept all to herself.

Later in the evening she asked him to go and get some rest as she was fine now, and as soon as he left, she asked for a computer from the nurse and started researching on Taylor, she thought he was too good to be true, he must have some agenda she thought.

She found that he was actually a successful business in Asia and came to set up some businesses in the USA, but she could still not figure out why he was helping her. She finally decided to go to sleep.

The following morning, Joy was awakened by a sweet aroma and when she looked around,she found Taylor sitting on a chair next to her bed with the table full of delicious foods. Sitting up she got out of bed to take a shower and sat next to him , the enjoyed their meal and chatted even more.

The days went by very fast and Joy was discharged from the hospital after a week.

On there way out Taylor finally asked, 

"Where is home Joy?" 

She was quiet for a while then she spoke "I don't have a home, nor do I have a family, you can just take me to a hotel, I'll stay there for a while before I find a place to stay." She simply stated, she felt her chest tighten and a lamp in her throat as she said this, but that was the truth, she has no one.

Taylor felt her sadness, he could see the change in her mood as she said this.

" Am sorry to hear that, but don't worry Joy from today on wards I'll take care of you, I'll be whatever you want me to be." He said and pulled her in a tight hug. She tried to pull away but he hugged her even tighter.

"As far as letting you stay in a hotel, that is unacceptable, you are family now and you will stay with me."

She finally managed to pull away and looked straight in the eyes.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you so kind to me? What do you want in return?" She asked with concern

"Love is free, I don't need to ask for anything in return." He simply stated and opened the door gesturing for her to enter.

The ride to his place was awfully quiet. When they finally reached his Villa which was magnificent and surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees which complimented it. They were welcomed by an old lady who reminded Joy of her nanny back home. 

"Hello Linda, call everybody I want to talk to them." Taylor said to her as they got in the house. All the servants came and paraded in from of Taylor and Joy.

"This is miss Benson, treat her with the same respect you treat me. Take good care of her even when am not here, do I make myself clear." And they all nodded in Union , Joy on the other hand was astonished she has never had anyone take care of her in such a way and here was a stranger going to such lengths for her, did the heavens finally hear her and send her a guardian angel? She was so overwhelmed she hugged him in front of everyone.

"Thank you" she whispered in his ears, and quickly realized her actions, she pulled away and blushed hard. He then took her up to her room and left her to finish up his work.

Later in the evening he went to her room to check on her and found her deep in thought she didn't hear him knock.

"Hey weirdo, what are you thinking about." He chuckled as he lightly pushed her.

"Hehehe why am I a weirdo now" she laughed facing him.

"I've been here for like 2 hours" he lied " and you were deep in your thoughts, so tell me, what are you thinking about?"

" It's nothing.." she said as she gave him a bright smile," what brings you here?"

He was silent for a while looking deep in her eyes as though searching for something,then hugged her tightly as though understood her deepest darkest pain, and for some reason she found herself hugging him even tighter. Time seemed to have stopped for the two, she felt so secure in his arms and he felt complete with her, something unknown was definitely happening, but what?

"It's alright to start fresh, it might seem scary but it will be alright and I'll be here every step of the way." He whispered in her ear. She felt as though all her pain was taken from her just by hearing his words. They had not discussed what happened to her,but how was he able to understand her so we'll? She asked herself.

She pulled away and looked in his eyes, she saw care and something unknown, something she didn't want to believe.

"Am going back home in a few weeks, come with me. Let me be there for you,.. please." He continued. She remained quiet still looking in his eyes, then he made the puppy face which made her laugh.

"Stop..hehehe.. of course I will go with you, how can I say no to my fake boyfriend hmm.." she said in-between laughs. She thought this was a great opportunity for her to reinvent herself before coming back for her revenge. He got up excitedly pulling her up with him and hugging her once again.
