Chapter 3

"Good morning miss and welcome back,you got us worried there for a while." She heard a sweet voice say. Trying to sit up and look around, she found that she was in the hospital.. strange, who brought her here? How did she not die? She wondered.

"How did I get here miss?" She asked confused.

"Your boyfriend brought you here miss, do you remember what happened to you?"

Everything that happened to her flashed before her eyes and her heart felt heavy, she wanted to cry out loud but couldn't, her eyes just couldn't let her shade a tear. In that moment she decided one thing and that was to make her father pay, to make him so miserable, so much he will beg her to kill him. That naive little girl Amber Garcia died the day her father sold her.

Wait. Did she say boyfriend?

"Miss what is your name?" The nurse asked with a concerned look on her face noticing that the girl in front of her kept quiet and in deep thought.

"Oh my name is Joy... Joy Benson, please tell me, how long have I been here?" 

"For three weeks Ms Joy, and your boyfriend hasn't left your side for a second, he has gone out to answer a phone call, he will be back soon am sure, he really cares for you miss. Let me get the doctor to come and examine you." The nurse said with a smile and hurried out.

Again,which boyfriend? Yes she has been in a coma for three weeks but she clearly remembers not having a boyfriend.

Or is it one of those men who wants to torture her more?.. fear creeped in and Joy started to panic, trying to get out of bed and run for her life, the door opened and she froze in her tracks in anticipation of what was coming her way. When the person on the other side walked in, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped, a fly could play in her mouth at that point. He walked towards her and his sweet minty scent filled her nostrils, making her head spin for a second, his brown eyes locked hers and this time her heart was beating wildly in her chest, he had messy black hair which covered his forehead and pale smooth skin with pink thin lips. She was so lost admiring this six feet tall handsome man,she didn't realize he was right in front of her.

He closed her mouth dramatically and chuckled "why don't you just eat me already?" He said with a smirk on his face.

She was brought back and felt so embarrassed, she started blushing and looked down going back to her bed. Then the thought of what happened to her came back to her and once again panicked.

"Who are you?" She almost shouted.

" Calm down, am Taylor Young." He said while sitting on a chair near the bed.

"And am your fake boyfriend " he continued with a playful smile, but Joy had a serious face, she was trying to figure out why a stranger would go to these lenghts for her.

" Why?.."

"I wasn't going to be allowed to stay with you unless I was a family member or something like that,so I came up with that idea so that I could stay here with you, what do think hmm." He winked at her and gave her puppy eyes, which she found cute. 

"Nice to meet you Taylor, my name is Joy. Hmmm where.." the door opened and the doctor walked in with the nurse, before she could finish her statement.

The doctor examined her and asked her a few routine questions, then she noticed how worried Taylor seemed, but she couldn't understand why a stranger would worry so much about her, when not even her father cared much about her. She found it strange.

After the doctor was done, he left with the nurse leaving Taylor and Joy alone.

           TAYLOR'S POV

I was having a stressful day from all the business meetings I was attending, and so I decided to take a walk after my last meeting to relieve some of it. I was lost in my thoughts when my feet took me to a park and I noticed something strange in the nearby bush from where I was seated and I decided to take a look, only to find a beautiful brown girl with bruises everywhere, she was covered in a lot of blood and looked lifeless. My heart ached, she looked so fragile, so  serene as she lay there.

Without even thinking,I picked her up rushed to my car and took her to the nearest hospital. Weeks went by slowly and I never left her side, it's like something about her was drawing me towards her, telling me not to leave her side.

I was outside talking to my father over the phone, who said he wanted me back home in Asia to handle some other businesses there and I was vacillating on whether to stay with this stranger or go back home. 

When I went back to the room, she was awake and looked more beautiful even though her hair looked like a bird's nest, she has tender brown skin, thin lips, brown eyes with long eye lashes and beautiful curves which could be seen even in a hospital gown.

After the doctor examined her, we were left in the room alone and I didn't want to scare her off, I knew she wanted to ask how I found her and I didn't know how to explain it because when she smiled at me, I could see so much agony and bitterness in her eyes, such sorrow and all I wanted to do was take it all away from her. So I wonder what exactly happened to her.. whatever happened to her, I will be the one to make her forget her pain and bring happiness to her.
